It is actually unhealthy how much I am invested in Aaron cybertron Zheng climbing the online vgc ladder and providing live commentary as he goes 👍 keep up the good work king
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love watching you not only based on your natural talent, ranking so high using other teams, including your own, but the way you talk through your thought process, for a team introduction, for a lead, each turn you take, but also your opponent's turns and what could've happened... I learn so much each video. Been watching you for years and love your content!
It's the player and castor commentator combo. The analysis comes from a great knowledge of competitive but is backed up by an understanding of explaining plays and what's going on to those less in the the know. Aaron's a goat. And his content always shines for this reason compared to others. Big love to you Aaron!
Probably cause this regulation actually brought alot of new mons, especially ones no one has gotten to use EVER in the history of VGC unlike B and C which only brought in 4 each time. Aaron u wanna run my pikachu hat team? hahaha.
@@fbarnes123 Haha I didn't even notice he spelled "Hisuan". Originally Destroy was spelled as Dstroy but he changed it within a minute of uploading! :P
I love how aaron keeps playing smartly and happily. Like when he gets really unlucky he still has his positivity which i wish i have when i encounter triple para and flinch lol.
I totally played against this team on showdown a couple of hours ago! I wound up losing due to not using Aqua Jet under Trick room with my urshifu rs assuming I was slower than their flutter without examining the team comp carefully.
Using this team atm at great ball rank 7-8 it's a lot of fun. I tried some other teams out but keep coming back to this one as I'm familiar with it and enjoy not needing to waste a turn to set up. Thundurus might be my mvp as a fun support mon with lots of utility. Messed up a few times with psychic terrain and vs sableye. Also heatran, trick room and other stuff is still hard to beat or get around but hopefully I can learn and improve. I find ursaluna to be the weakest link and would probably switch for a heatran counter but I still take him fairly often. :)
More Typhlosian content pretty please 🙏🏾 Hisuian or otherwise. I just love this Pokémon line. I'd be interested in seeing Quilava used as well. Though, dunno how you'd make it viable for competitive play
My favourite starter(s) is either Sceptile or Blaziken! Kinda sad they dont have any special gimmicks or moves anymore (hoping for something for sceptile in a future legends game)
Love how much im able to learn from your videos! Your team breakdown and turn by turn talks help so much to make me feel like a better player! Keep up the good work!
damn i remember like a year ago i started getting back into pokemon just because the content around it was interesting to me and some months after i got one of your regulation c videos recommended with an interesting team and now here i am being excited about your new upload because i missed them for the last days😅
Hi Aaron! Thank you for continuously uploading regulation D content😇! This is by far my favourite format in Scarlet and Violet as well with so many viable Pokemon! My favourite starter is definitely Infernape! It was the first Pokemon I ever saw! Even before Pikachu! 🤣 Also loved it in the games and anime! No doubt however Incineroar is the best starter Pokemon competitively. Loved using it in Sword and Shield. Hopefully it will come back soon!😂
Me a casual pokemon player: oh yeah i can definitely try this. Me after attempting and failing hard: nevermind, these guys are pros for a reason 😅 You guys are awesome. I love watching matches and the commentary on how you look into these competitive teams. I hope one day i can delve into vgc
QOTD: Competitively, incineroar is the only correct answer. But it's so overused. Other than that, any of the mega starters or protean greninja were powerhouses back in the day. If we're talking personal favourites it'd be Feraligatr - my first starter as a kid.
Been using a similar team lately and have some notes. First off I found Lilligent gets better use out of Wide Lense than Focus Sash. That allows it to more reliably use Axe Kick over Close Combat while boosting Sleep Powders chances as well. I also had a lot of trouble with Rain teams with Torkoal and found minus speed Thunderous Prankster Sunny Day was a better counter to Pelliper and Rain Dance Pranksters who now outspeed with Rain Dance and allow your slow Prankster Sunny Day to win out.
Best starter in vgc is prolly either Incinaroar or Rillaboom. Rillaboom especially is interesting cause even after it's massive nerfs coming into gen 9, you see it still more than holds its weight.
QOTD - Competitively Incineroar is definitely the best, but my favorite has always been Sceptile. Also a quick sidenote, I think Johto Typhlosion is really interesting in this format as well. It can naturally outspeed a lot of threats the Hisuian form has issues with like Urshifu, freeing you up to run specs for more power, and with flash fire it has a great matchup into opposing sun
The best Starter is obviously (imo) Primarina! I love the Design. Hopefully she'll be available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with the DLC. Edit: Primarina also seems like a good Urshifu or even Flutter Mane answer.
As someone who doesn't play Pokémon but loves watching your battles I'd love it if every now and then you dropped a bit more information about things so noobs like me could learn. As an example when mentioning chlorophyll "the 50% speed boost from chlorophyll helps" rather than "the speed boost from chlorophyll helps" Something like that. That's again, love your videos
My favorite starter is actually empoleon, partly because it was my first ever starter, and partly because back when I did gen 6 and 7 singles pairing it with chesnaught was such a good defensive core. Also being the only water-steel type gives it a pretty good defensive and offensive type combo that grants it a unique niche imo.
been rewatching vids casually, just wanted to come back here to say i ended up dropping protect eventually. so now its just axe kick, leaf blade, ice spinner, sleep powder. i run wide lens for axe kick + sleep powder accuracy. while i defo still miss close combat, focus sash, and protect at times, i enjoy being able to catch people off guard, especially for cart. axe kick is nice cause no stat drops, and leaf blade i like more than solar blade when your weather gets countered. im not sure if its actually more consistent, but it feels that way to me. anywho thanks for the knowledge, education, and inspiration as always.
Love the idea of this team i like sun teams alot just seem slightly harder to use than rain teams may give a try to a variation of this team tho awesome stuff man
Ok this is probably a dumb idea, but consider the following: If you put tera Dark on Thunderus, you become immune to prankster. This means that by using tera dark, you can safely get taunt off on non mental herb prankster users. This means that you can contribute a little less into speed and more into either bulk or special attack for example.
I think my favorite starter is Torterra, but I find most of the starters awesome. The fact that it's a tortoise waddling around with a tree on it's back is super cute, and it's surprisingly powerful with those stab earthquakes If the question is related to competitive competence, there is no denying that Incineroar (oof) has been the most impactful, and I think for sure the strongest, even with the newer starters - it's just so damn strong
If there was one tweak I'd make to this team, it'd be to make Hisuian Lilligant run a Hustle Entrainment set instead. Entrainment removes Heatran's ability to wall this team while putting Hustle on it makes its heat waves even less accurate.
That first battle got me thinking. How different would the Paradox Pokemon meta be if instead of telling you what was boosted, it just said something like, "[POKEMON] got a stat boost from the weather/Booster Energy/terrain"?
I love the nicknames the pokemon have! It's nice to see them, I know why they don't allow it, but.. it would be nice to see nicknames on ladder ingame...
QOTD: Is there really an argument for any starter Pokémon other than Incineroar? At least in terms of VGC. My second choice would be Rillaboom, but I don’t really think it’s close.
I'd be interested to see if Typhlosion's signature move would be good with a prankster status user. That way you could threaten huge damage with both fire and ghost.
QOTD: Best competitively? Pretty hard to argue against Charizard after it dominated Sw/Sh for so long, but Rillaboom is definitely in the running. Favorite? Always thought Torterra was really cool despite being pretty mediocre
Since there's a lot of opposing weather in the format (esp. Rain Dance Tornadus), Solar Blade is not as consistent. Also, with this team, Lilligant is good even outside of Sun so it's nice to just have a more reliable attack in Leaf Blade
I gotta find out what time Aaron plays cause I swear some of these games everyday are against some noobs 😂. Everytime I play the opponent has the exact counter to my team and it is always a battle
QOTD: I mean, it's obviously Piplup. ua-cam.com/video/q1Zfr0tvn1E/v-deo.html Where is he anyway? Has he got a sass on because he's not been in a game for a while? Scarlet/Violet needs more Piplup.
It is actually unhealthy how much I am invested in Aaron cybertron Zheng climbing the online vgc ladder and providing live commentary as he goes 👍 keep up the good work king
Same bro same, def the live commentary as he goes for me
Who wants to see an alternate for Totodile? I feel that there is a lot they can do with the evo line.

Let’s get it! Hisuan Typhlosion (my favorite of the Legends Arceus starters) turn, then Decidueye!
Such a fire team. Im happy that you are enjoying Reg D and enjoy making videos for us all.

I run Ty with Frisk because it takes the guessing out of opponents items and gives good insight. Underrated imo

Chlorophyll is double not 50%. All the weather boosting Abilities double Speed.
Yessss a fantastic hisui Typhlosion vid! Keep up the amazing work!
Nice to see this team with typhlosion
As Pokémon Crystal was my first ever game, Typhlosion will forever be my favorite.

Hey, Aaron! How’s your team building for worlds going so far ?
Finally! I've been waiting forever for a new video to watch!
I love the nicknames the pokemon have! It's nice to see them, I know why they don't allow it, but.. it would be nice to see nicknames on ladder ingame...
honestly, i've considered normal Typhlosion for this kind of team. not weak to ghost or dark and 5 extra base speed is pretty tempting.
0:00 hey Arron Cybertron Zheng. Frog man here.
I'm having so much fun in regulation D! I'm constantly in the top 500 with a pseudo rain team with protective pads Urshifu Rapid Strike and a Tinkaton
QOTD: Is there really an argument for any starter Pokémon other than Incineroar? At least in terms of VGC. My second choice would be Rillaboom, but I don’t really think it’s close.
Love hisuian typhlosion i use frisk instead of blaze because it felt consistent and knowing opponents items is useful

That way you could threaten huge damage with both fire and ghost.
Just played against this time and used the goodra team you featured and jesus i almost lose even though i knocked out liligant on 1st turn
I can't help describing your lead as Typhlorkoal.
Qotd: Tough but for me personally I love Greninja, Rillaboom, Torterra and Infernape but as regards to VGC? Probably Incineroar
I was building a very close team to this one
Happy to see it with Typhlosion
QOTD: Either Mega Blaziken or HA Rillaboom on release imo
Oh and incin, forgot that was decent in doubles
I love this this will greatly help me i suck so much in doubles hahaha
QOTD:
Personal Favorite: Blazekin, the best starter of the best trio.
Competitively: Incineroar, no explanation needed.
QOTD: Best competitively? Pretty hard to argue against Charizard after it dominated Sw/Sh for so long, but Rillaboom is definitely in the running.
Favorite? Always thought Torterra was really cool despite being pretty mediocre
Now this is a team I can get behind
At 38:00 why wouldnt you leafblade flutter and heatwave
I had a team like this but did indeedee and Heatran instead of torkoal and flutter mane
Torkoal the pokemon that doesn't go away
I wondered... why not Solarblade on Liligant instead of Leafblade ? ^^
Since there's a lot of opposing weather in the format (esp. Rain Dance Tornadus), Solar Blade is not as consistent. Also, with this team, Lilligant is good even outside of Sun so it's nice to just have a more reliable attack in Leaf Blade
QOTD:
MEGA SWAMPERT BABY
i have been looking forward to this one :)
If Typhlosion uses Overheat, then tera fires, sub out, sub in. When were they receiving STAB?
Whaat are you trying to say?
We need to finish the starter trio now
Good video, but I use infernal parade will o wisp I see the value

Wish I made it un the video 💀. Fought u last night or the night before and it was a really cool game and my first time facing ya.
Aaron Cybertron Zheng!!! My boy!
Typhlosion gotta be the best one.
I fricking love you Aaron
QOTD:My favorite starter is Meowscarada, although I don't think it's the "best" in competitive atm.
QOTD INCINEROAR 🐯🔥
Best starter?
Obviously Typholsion!
QOTD: Typhlosion (both forms of course). Nuff said.
How do you get Hisuian Pokémon in SV?
You transfer them from legends Arceus using Pokémon home.
Totodile best starter
It sucks competitively but i love torterra so much!
Game 4: wouldn't all your fire stuff have hurt heatran when it terraed into grass?
It still has Flash Fire as its ability so no
@@CybertronVGC ah of course
how in the world does torkoal have priority with helping hand?
Helping Hand ALWAYS has +5 priority. It has nothing to do with Torkoal.
QOTD: My favorite starter would be Swampert.
Good content!
Blastoise is my favourite Starter, I want to build a shell smash white herb team
I actually had to change my team due to this team 😂
I love this pokemon starter 😊
Sneasler when?
Best VGC UA-camr💯💯💯
Decidueye since I am a Night Owl IRL
Feature chesnaught next
QOTD: The best Starter, imo, is Primarina
need more 1 hr videos
Hisuian Lilligant
