Cool cover! In my experience it is easier to get the blast beats at this kind of tempo tight, when you play them with one foot - might be a bit exhausting in the beginning but it pays off in the long run! It would also make your double bass more tight because your right foot gets trained to lock in with the right hand.
Thanks for watching and commenting on my video! It is very humbling to get the attention of an established metal drummer! (I'm a big fan of your channel!) I will get to work on my single foot blasts. Thanks again!
@Wanja [Nechtan] Gröger How awesome of you to say theese nice things. I’m so sick of all the filth and crap people pour out in so many of the comments now a days. Anyways, I totally agree with you beeing a beast of a drummer your self. Now, I have for some twenty odd years now held Jan Axel pretty damn high as my absolute fave drummer. It started with The Kovenant Nexus Polaris and the tune Bizarre Cosmic Industries, and then I discovered Arcturus and The Chaos Path tune. Such musicality for a metal drummer. Almost jazz-osh. Also got into Mayhem because of Hellhammer. Now, I probably was much to young to worship the De Mysteriis album like "everybody" else, but holy christ when I first heard Grand Decleration… Hellhammer For Ever. Wow. How would you rate Hellehammer as a drummer? Is he good? Is he hard to cover? Is he a "God" technically? Can you deliberate a bit? Paint a Nechtan picture of him perhaps? Well done everybody. As you were!
@@espenbusteflexnilssenburke4856 Hellhammer is very "different". He has a very unique set of skills and because of that it is very hard to compare him to others. I personally like his drumming a lot but I can also understand when people don't like it ;)
@Wanja [Nechtan] Gröger A very diplomatic answer, Wanja. And I agree. I think he, as many drummers, has an easy recogniseable style, but also drumsound. But I seldom discover other drummers in new (to me atleast) music that actually uses such a musical style of drumming. Well, only my opinion perhaps. Maybe you could point out music or drummers you think I’d might enjoy the same way as HH? Have you ever met Hellehammer and talked to him by any chance? And also; would you consider doing a drum cover for My Death by Mayhem ?? Or perhaps a drum interpentation of the same song? Cheers from Norway Espen
I think Mayhem's "Live At Lepzig" is probably the best live black metal album of the 2nd wave era. Dead's vocal performance on Freezing Moon I agree, is better than Attila's. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video!
@@Yar-Drummer I used to play with my arms as well. If you plan on playing a 30min. to an hour set I would recommend using a different technique as your muscles will freeze up playing blast beats. Have a good time. \m/

What is the left pedal for? Sorry, I don’t know anything about drums.
The left pedal is for the left bass drum beater on my double pedal.
You can play Freezing moon, but the original, pls? (Vocals Dead)
