Great video as always buddy! Definitely some good trails there along the highway! Night drives are something I haven’t done in awhile, used to do them all the time! Nice seeing you out with your friends! Good stuff on shining up the bike afterwards! Thanks again buddy for taking us along! Cheers an take care!
Great video as always bud wish we had a set up likevthat here were there were warming shacks along the trails to camp out in for the night think if we had stuff like that id never be home lol always be out rideing stoping off at one hut after the next lol
Great ride, thanks for the ride a long. I'll make it up to NB for some running some day. My old grizzly is a bit sick right now. has and engine seal leaking from the rear driveshaft and unfortunately i wont have time this week to fix it due to prepping for a trip to Michigan (wish i was taking the bike there) Watching this made me want to go down to the shed and start ripping er apart tonight.
My wife is actually from there. We just are picking the rest of her things up and going to see some friends of ours while we are down there. As far as I know, and ive seen it with my own eyes too, for the most part ATV's are allowed on a large portion of Michigan's roadways to get from trail to trail. Its so silly and frustrating at how far behind our provinces are. Nova Scotia even more so than New Brunswick.
Oh nice you married a Murican' girl ! haha I know eh, NS is Fuc#ed for ATV'ing, I'm from porters oak, NS, and we used to have a BUNCH of sweet trails (old rail bed) that was atv'ing and walking/biking/horseback trails, and the ATV'ers always took care of the trail, cutting downed trees, fixing washouts, and the province came in and changed it all to the "trans Canada walking trail" which made it impossible for us to ride bikes without trailering them to lake Charlotte or elsewhere.... if I was still living home, I'd be talking to my MLA and saying they should still be dual purpose, with speed limits, it's crazy now.... I don't even think horses are allowed on the walking trail...
Hey man, I love Caledonia/Riverside, it might be my favourite place to ride. I Hope I can goto summer Jam, but I work 50% weekends (worst part of my job) plus a bunch of weddings this summer, if you see me, come over and say hi ! haha
haha No, I'm not sure if rabbits are good to eat in the summer in my area, I know we have a lot of ticks in the summer, but eating road kill when I have some great sausages in my cooler.... not an option hahaha thanks for watching !
Hey ! Wendell is great ! he is in my latest video "Hike to Prosser Ridge...." this video is an older video of mine, I Don't believe I had Wendell back then haha thanks so much for the comment !!
Hey great video, I live in that same area. Did you guys just travel down Rural Estates Dr, then onto Charles Lutes, Willard, Mount Pleasant then onto the highway? I am looking for a route to the highway from my house without having to load the bike into the truck. No idea what the RCMP are like for looking the other way if you are traveling slowly on the shoulder of side streets around here.
Hey Dave ! thats a nice area. I was on Boundary Drive, then onto Zack Rd, across onto Willard, then across the highway, than onto the trail that follows the Homestead road. we'll I know they are off highway vehicles but if you are Licensed, Insured and have a trail pass and you weren't drinking, I think the police would be much more likely to let you go.
I know what it is now, the sound is exactly like my 2014 700. Both have the 686 engine. Yamaha came out with the 708 in 2015 but had a boat load of issues and as of 2019 gone back to the 686 motor. hard to beat a 686 unless they go to the new twin cylinder engine.
2015 was still 686, it was 2016 when they changed to 708cc, they had some issues with smoking (mostly the 2016). The reason they went to 708 was b/c the 686 wouldn't pass emissions tests, so they contracted it to Subaru for 3 years (2016,17,18) they had some issues and changed some things on the old 686 and got it to pass emissions, thats why they went back to it in 2019. the 686 is the Old Faithful of motors haha I have a 2017 708 now, no issues, but I sure love the old 686.
Looked like some nice trails. Me and the guys in my riding group ride in NB as well as NS and are looking to check out the big look off at the top of caledonia mountain. You dont happen to have any GPS tracks of any of these trails do you? Nobody I've asked so far seems to know the way up there but I've seen in your vids that you've gone up a few times.
Hey man, no sorry I don't use a GPS, do you know which look off? there are a bunch, does it overlook the bay of fundy and you can see NS? or? I have a few videos of Caledonia Mtn, and we goto quite a few look offs. I bet if you talked to anyone who sled's there would probably know all the look offs (a few of my friends sled there and I usually ride with them, they lead the way) sorry I couldn't help you more.
No worries, the look off I was looking for is the one you posted on instagram for a contest with a bush craft book. I have asked a few guys I know that sled and they know the way, but ofcourse none of them have ATV's haha,
Ohhhhh well that one is really easy to get too ! its actually right behind my buddies camp, like a 10min bike ride haha if you can find your way to Caledonia Mtn Rd, (it's the road my buddies camp is on in the video) you can get to that look out easy, there is a trail behind his camp or you can ride down the road (away from the snowmobile club) and there will be a trail on your right hand side maybe 5-10min drive depending on speed which is a straight drive to the look out. just before the trail head there should be a house on the opposite side of the road, hope that helps you ! haha
Ok awesome, sounds easy. A few of us are gonna be checking out these albert county trail blazers trails here soon. Hoping to ride into that Caledonia mountain area and check out some of the look offs. I have the trail map from their site, but are the trails signed well? And what trail head would you recommend leaving from, so far I think we are going to be leaving from maybe the Shell station in Coverdale, but we need a spot where you know we'll be able to part 3-5 trucks and trailers. Thanks for the help! I do appreciate it, just looking for some new areas to explore.
hey man, ACTB trails are marked pretty good, Numbers/colours, the main trail is the #3 railed and all other trails run off it, and if you want to head into Caledonia you'll have to take the Sled trails. I think there is room at the shell and across the road by the trail head to park that many trucks.
Hey, we'll as long as your not driving a long distance or speeding/driving reckless the police don't usually bother you, and if they do stop you, and your 100% legal (insurance, registered, trail pass) they usually give you a brake.Saying that were starting to get smaller cities that allow ATV/SXS on the road, so they can goto Gas stations, restaurant, hotels.... they are finally seeing this as a tourist sport and making some money from eh riders, I wish more cities would do the same.
Nice trip! Wendell looks so sad with the cone on! lol
Paul

Great video as always bud wish we had a set up likevthat here were there were warming shacks along the trails to camp out in for the night think if we had stuff like that id never be home lol always be out rideing stoping off at one hut after the next lol

sounds like you are riding a 2014 grizzly 700
Hey ! you're close and the Grizzly didn't change much from 08-15 but this Ol Grizz is a 2008 non power steering Grizzly.
I know what it is now, the sound is exactly like my 2014 700. Both have the 686 engine. Yamaha came out with the 708 in 2015 but had a boat load of issues and as of 2019 gone back to the 686 motor. hard to beat a 686 unless they go to the new twin cylinder engine.

we don't go deep either,,, i like knowing i won't need to be towed out,,,,,,:)
hahaha I know eh ! I'm not a fan of being stuck lol some guys love it but I'd rather lots of miles than lots of mud.
yup,, us too,,,,,ride safe,,,,,,,

are you aloud to ride atv's on the road to gas up and stuff? here in bc we get in trouble

Where do you mount your go pro
Hey man, I mount it upside down on the Chin of my helmet (the same way Cubbeezx does) that way my voice is fairly clear on the video.
Thanks ...I knew it couldn't have been on your machine it is to steady .
haha no no, I like having it on my head so you guys get the POV that I see.
This video inspired me to edit and upload a video lol, I'd appreciate it if you checked it out, thanks
Will do !
Maritimer Thanks again
