this is a really great summary video, but one thing I think is worth expanding on, iracing fuel use is tied to throttle position only, it doesn't matter whatever else you do or change. but with higher wings you can use more throttle so it does often mean more fuel use, but it's 100% only throttle %
With springs it is important to also check the aero stuff, since it will get impacted as well. High down force will push the softer springs down more, changing dynamic ride height and rake.
Great, well made video! I just have a question, when creating a setup, is there a specific methodical process I should follow? For example, after starting on the baseline, first change the ARB's, then when satisfied, change the preload, test, then spring rates, test, etc. Is there an optimal route for setup creation or is it purely personal. Thanks!
The answer is no, there’s no ‘right’ way of developing the setup, important is that you only change one thing at a time and then test the difference so you don’t end up making 5 changes and now knowing what does what🤷♂️
Tyre pressure is the biggest topic when temperatures change, you should get away with everything else as before, as long as tyres can be kept in the same target window pressure/temp wise. - Rene
The "Welcome Markus" thread is here⬇We are very happy to have him on board and that he will share his knowledge with our community
Welcome Sir, and thank you for your effort! :)
Super first video, very informative and your enthusiasm shows through.
Just getting back in to sim racing after a few years off. This was a perfect refresher! Love the video
Hope someone out there will find this beneficial :)
You deserve more views m8, good tips.
Actually super helpful! No other video (tbat I could find) explained that as well as you did

Nice video. I will send this video to James. He will setup our W15 according to this guy. Thank you.
Wait... He has rating over 9000? I have one free seat...
Very useful and clear, I hope you can do another one in the future perhaps going into more detail.
Thank you for this. Definitely saving it for future reference. 👍
Velkommen, Markus!

Great video
Than you for the video. In case we found a good setup at low track temperature, which parameters need to be changed with high track temperature ?

Thanks Markus! Appreciate it. Please do AMS2 too.
Good video and good narration. I would try to cut the take before you look down at (perhaps) your note.
Will do, thanks for the advice☺️
