Nice haul buddy!, It was nice of you to acknowledge those who dislike content that involves killing animals. I’m assuming they’re vegans and I applaud them. But the majority of us eat meat. And anyone who’s watched your videos knows there’s a good chance of seeing you harvest wild meat. With this particular video, the thumbnail image is dead rabbits laying on the snow. So anyone who sees this and chooses to watch the video has no business getting upset about the content. As I’ve commented before, you’re such an excellent ambassador for Atlantic Canada, Canadians and Newfoundlanders. Your content is very, very tasteful!! I always look forward to more!! ☮️💕
Appreciate the education as usual! You should never apologize for anything. You have a very informative channel. We will be using this as a resource soon when we start putting up snares. Thank you! ✌️🇨🇦♥️
Always enjoy your video and this one was very informative on rabbit snaring. Never apologies for what is natural to your life style and how you grew up. Keep it up.
Amazing video bro…. Raised to hunt ,no need to worry what others are complaining about.your putting food on the table for your family.cheers have a great day
Bob, we used to raise rabbits and sold them for food. You did a great job of satisfying both sets of viewers. The rabbits you have in New Foundland have beautiful fur colors. Thanks for sharing the information about snaring rabbits. You always give us good "dos" and "don'ts" info.
Really enjoy the rabbit snaring and hunting videos! Those beans and wieners brought back memories. When I was much younger, my father and I always had beans and wieners for a shore lunch when trout fishing.
Everybody hunts for their food some do it outdoors following the natural trails, others follow the supermarket trails back and forth hunting for theirs
I enjoy watching what you do with the hunting because that’s the way things were supposed to be from the very beginning. God gave us animals so that we can hunt them so that we can eat them. So many people have chosen not to eat meat and so they want to choose that nobody eats meat. That’s not the way it was meant to be. I like your videos for the variety of it and not just the cabin but you’re cooking your hunting and how much you know about all these things about hunting and fishing. Amazing to me how much you know. Those of us who like to watch it now can’t see certain things because the same people want to dictate what happens to everyone, including what they eat or hunt.
I always enjoy your channel's content. This video is certainly an interesting and informative narrative for people who want to snare hares or cotton tails. It's not for everyone but for young or old that would like to experience this age old technique of hunting you have just given them an amazing head start. Good on you sir and Thank You.
There's no problems with me my friend hunting for food. Those that do can continue to shop at the supermarket and/or fill up with veggies. Good hunting. This is what we do, simple as that!!
Bob, that was a great video. I’m always interested in seeing and learning about how hunting, trapping, snaring, fishing etc is done by people in other areas. I think you handle the ‘delicate’ parts very tastefully to ensure as little conflict as possible. At the same time, it’s your channel and it’s about what you do, all of it. Anyhow, good job Sir. There was so much great information covered in this video that I went back and watched it a second time 😊👍🏻 As I was watching the segment about your boil up, I was reminded of a video I first saw a while ago made by a guy in Alaska named Lonnie. I thought you might like to learn this method of making his bail style pot handles. The video title is: Homemade Removable Pot Bail - One Size Fits All
Hi Bob! A few nice rabbits. My mom takes rabbit meat and mix it with leftover turkey. Makes gravy. And fills pie crusts with it. So tasty. And a great way to use up turkey. Brass wire is all I’ve ever used for rabbit snares. Haven’t missed many rabbits from the wire breaking. Lost a few rabbits to thieves and animals wanting to sample them. lol.
Nicely done... I am heading out tomorrow to set a few snares looks like we have a bit of snow in the forecast for my area of NS. By the looks of things you guys have a lot of bunnies around this year. Nothing like a rabbit pie once in while during the long winter.
Thanks for sharing. The area where i grew up hunting is now gone. Replaced by subdivisions. When hunting was permitted we never had animal population problems. Now people complain about rabbits, fox, racoon, and coyotes roaming regular through there yards doing damage and threatening pets. People forget that man has always been part of the circle of life in the wild. Without man hunting or trapping that balance no longer exists. Wildlife over populates, and lose there fear of humans. That is the worst thing that can happen to the wildlife that people are claiming to protect. - Mike from Ontario
Excellent video. You had great success with the brass wire. 3 rabbits one night. Wow your good at it. No broken snares make the best of it. If you where at the rabbits for a week you would do great. Thanks for sharing this footage. You had a lovely lunch to. Take care.
I did a lot of snaring back many yrs ago did things a little different had all my wire made up with waxed string for tiring them kept in my backpack ready to go would use birch tops placed in a pile rabbits love to eat the tops placed several snairs around and bingo you can catch many that way worked for me a great watch man 👍👋🇨🇦 Nova Scotia
