I found this in my recommended after sitting all night yesterday making my avatar for twitch, and tomorrow my emote work begins, thank you for this SUPER useful guide
There are quite a few full, "detailed" tutorials out there that don't even come close to this one. Shy, not only is your art amazing; your teaching is impeccable. Thank you so much for sharing your light.
Really great tips and advice for beginners, who just started doing emotes like me, so we can see the whole process and mostly importantly the reasons why certain things are done (the thought process) :) Keep up the great content , so glad i found this gem of a channel :)
Thank you so much for sharing your drawing process for your emotes! Really in depth and helped me get started on making my own emotes! The step by step guide was really helpful in understanding how each step mattered!
I've watched this tutorial twice today already (and taken notes the second time round). I've literally only just started getting into digital art and, even though my line art is terrible, you've made this so straight forward and inspiring to aim for. Thank you very much
I've had clip art since middle school and this tut was so helpful. I didn't know about any of the vector tools or being able to have a reference folder and the power of a stabilized g pen!!! Thank you so much!
Finally got the chance to watch this and take notes! You're such a great teacher for this program. Thank you for taking the time to show us all how its done.
I can honestly say the few videos I've watched (this one included) by you have been a MASSIVE help and I am grateful that you "fix as you go" because seeing this "mistakes" and how to fix them and that someone as talented still makes them helps me not be so hard on myself, so thank you for being real about it all
No problem! So glad my mistakes can be taken this way. I kick myself for doing them at the time but I hope that this is exactly what comes of it anyway! It'd be too hard to edit out or redo for the video sake, I don't have time for that lol. Best to embrace our mistakes and learn from them!
i actually find this really helpful, the first watch i was on my phone playing mech arena, and i found myself coming back to you and going "oh this actually makes sense,i can follow"
Even though I've been making emotes for a few months now, your videos are always a nice refresher and allows me to learn new things even now! Well done, Shy and thank you for your tutorials!
this is so handy. recently started doing emotes and gonna come to this for memory purposes anytime i make some :D. this was very easy for me to understand :)
Thank you so much for this! Not only did it help me with learning about emotes, but also helped in learning some things about clip studio. Amazingly done and well detailed!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! My husband is gonna start streaming and I'm gonna be making his emotes so I really really appreciate this very detailed tutorial
I've been wanting to starting making my own emotes and that is the second tutorial that I watch from you! I've seen the first one and now this updated one and loved both. Thanks for being an amazing artist and sharing you knowledge
Oh perfect timing!! I'm gonna reach affiliate on Twitch soon, so I've been wanting to get my emotes ready. But honestly whenever I draw them they never look right! I'm really excited to follow along with this when I can. Thanks for such an in depth tutorial!
Awesome, thanks! explained very detailed, finally someone who explained it ALL! And this with the nicest and sympathetic way possible. Thanks to you that I created my first emoji. Thank you very much! MORE CONTENT! 😍
Really motivated me to start doing emotes for streamers. Been wanting to get into it and this was the first step. You did amazing with how you explained and it turned out looking great!

Love the tutorial video series, sadly really hard to find this kind of content on twitch now. Chill and easy art stream, without too busy overlay and too much bits and bop on screen. 😂Thank you, really good content 👍
I can definitely appreciate a minimalistic overlay. I didn't stream this so I'll admit my overlay has more too it than this video but definitely still minimal! Don't want to take away from the art!
This was super helpful! I'm still a Digital Art beginner but this was really easy to understand! I've seen more tutorials, but this comes as closer as I wanted to be. Thank you so much for doing this

@@Shyfoxx I do got a quick question Would it be idea to start your drawing off with vector lines or regular sketch lines or is it just preference I understand the difference between each other I just don't know what people prefer the mosts
Vector layers are ideal for things where you may want to adjust the lines after drawing them. For example changing the brush type and size, picking up a line to move it and resizing (scale up) without losing quality. You could sketch with a vector layer, but I personally wouldn't, it's designed to be used for solid lines not soft sketchy ones. I find the eraser to specifically doesn't work as intended with sketches on a vector layer. So some experimenting and you'll get the idea. You can also look into some of my recent line art specific tutorials as they demonstrate and explain a lot about vector use. 👍
@@Shyfoxx I know you said in your video you don't do much of a tutorial video but it seems like when I watch your videos I learn a lot so I feel like I'm gonna be learning a lot in your videos. I want to say thank you for putting your time into these videos and effort into these videos for people to learn from you means alot keep it up your doing so good.
Long detailed tutorials are my kryptonite. Thank you for this 🙏 Also also, if you don't have Clip Studio or the Adobe Suite, for this kind of art Krita on PC and Sketchbook on Android are more than enough. If you don't want to draw and just do vectors instead, Gimp is alright too.
