@@llmwall7 that bike has been gone for years. Ran for several years and he got a new, more modern bike. Yes, I understand intake manifolds. I build race cars. The bike was hobbled together junk that was put back on the road for very little money.
Better? No. Not IMO. Cheaper and easier in that situation, yes. Ran for years with no issues once tuned. But, it’s long gone. He drives a Concourse 14 now.
Never had the issue. However, we are used to tuning carbs. Easier to tune one than tune and sync four. The bike is sitting now though. Riding a Kawasaki concours 14 these days.
You have to tune that out. Use the 55 idle jet, 127 main jet. Then set both bypass screw and mixture screw out 3 turns. Warm up for choke to be fully open then adjust as necessary. Also make sure the accelerator pump is functional and spraying the correct amount of gas
Стив Скотт how did it fail? Still running to this day. Or are you just another bitch internet troll? Probably not allowed to own a bike by your mom OR your government.
Ran fine for many years. This was posted like 5 years ago. Drove it interstate, etc. Last year he bought a Concours 14 and moved on from the ancient goldwing.
That’s awesome, makes me think I can convert my cb650c and my xj750 from 4 carbs to a single
How is the throttle response on the road? What is your fuel usage after the conversion?
Nice but you need a better intake. I can hear that engine struggling to breathe. An intake manifold is more than just pipes welded together.

It is better a single carb instead 1 for each cylinder?

Mine keeps bogging down when I accelerate but not every time, DAMGEROUS!!!

@@brutusvk2 I bored out the jet no problems now👍
@@oldman8141 hey I'm trying to do the same thing do you remember how much you bored them out?
@aidan marks I really feel like it was 135.5 super beetle jet and I had to turn the choke off and completely disable it

Did the vacumn line on the carb, is it plugged or is it attached to the ECM vacumn
I do not remember. The bike was sold a while back.
Vacuum line goes on the front side port that's at an upward angle
How many loss power?
It didn’t lose power. But that bike has been sold for a while now. He got a sport tour bike.
@@brutusvk2 thanks for your response.
what kind of carb did you use?
Was years ago. Don’t remember what he used.
Fuel tank?
Tank is stock
Fail.
So you’re commenting on a video that is many years old? That’s a fail.

DOnt do this those factory carbs will blow that single barrel off the road that bike will never run right with that Chinese junk carb

Mine has a small Holley carb and runs great.
People normally use a large VW carb when doing this conversion
If tuned well it will run fine. Not as good as a perfectly set up stock but people do single carb conversions to make the bike easier to work on
