The first thing that drew me to your channel was your soft, loving personality. Of course, I love the content. Then I kept following you because you aren’t afraid of showing us Christ through your program. After listening to you share the verses today (I will be sharing these and your prospective on them with my family), I want to share with you that my husband is a survivor from 2003, of AML Leukemia! He went through chemo, radiation and praise the Lord, his youngest sister was a match for a stem cell transplant 🙌🏻 Just a few years later, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. My doctor found it so quickly that we did a hysterectomy and I didn’t have to go through any treatment. Praise God. A few years later in 2011, I was diagnosed with PPMS. A rare form of Multiple Sclerosis that has no treatment yet. We understand living each day through the grace of God.
Sarah, I love Seattle, the Pugent Sound and taking the ferry! I have suffered with cancer twice and lost my husband three years ago from that horrible disease. 2025 brings me comfort in knowing I have survived and am feeling very comfortable in my own skin. I am now a gardener and I dobelieve that is what "saved me" after losing my best friend! God Bless ! I love your videos and you are so talented !
How happy I am for all of us that you are a cancer survivor. You bring so much beauty and kindness into the world. Thank you for the scriptures, sharing that gorgeous hotel. I pray the Lord would abundantly bless you and your family in every way! Happy New Year!
Sarah, your scripture reference at the end brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing your story and I'm so glad you're still here with us! I am facing a major surgery (and praying they don't find cancer) at the end of the month. It sounds scary to most people, but I am trusting in the Lord's faithfulness and that His plans are better than mine.
You brought tears to my eyes when you shared scripture with us. My husband is having tests done soon to make sure he doesn’t have cancer and my heart is full of fear right now! Thanks for sharing your soul with us!
Sarah, oh my Lord, when you said you love planning, handwriting lists and stationary… you are my kindred spirit. And oh not just for that but for your faith, your spirit and each of your inspiring videos which I enjoy so much.Thankyou🌷
Thankyou for the scripture verses and looking forward to the farewell to Christmas video. Serves me right for commenting before finishing the video; I’m sorry for commenting twice.
I love the light shining through your eyes. My word for the year is behold. I am trusting that as I intentionally behold Jesus this year, through his word and in spending time with Him, I will become more like Him.
I loved seeing the decor in that fabulous hotel! There’s something about black and white floors and darker paint that speaks to me. Great details! I’d love to stay there if I ever found myself on the west coast! I have always been a huge office supply and stationary lover since I was a kid! I completely get it! Finally, like several others here, I was tearing up as you read that scripture. It felt like you were speaking directly to me. It was actually part of my prayers earlier in the day before I had even watched your video. I love your channel! Love decorating and I love that you always give praise and glory to God. I’m a (2 time) cancer survivor as well. I had been starting to take my faith more seriously and then I got sick. Looking back I can see He was calling me closer my entire life but the cancer (oddly, post cancer) really cemented my faith. God bless you! 💗💗💗
Sarah, This year, I am choosing to focus on peace. As you know, I’ve dedicated the past year to caring for my gentleman through his cancer treatment, including the recent transplant. We are hopeful that it will help remove the cancer from his bone marrow. Moving forward, I’m committed to cultivating a sense of calm-avoiding unnecessary worry, not chasing after more money, or making home upgrades or changes that aren’t truly needed( of course I change things around with what I have lol) Thank you for sharing your story and the experience of that lovely hotel. As you said, it’s the attention to every detail that makes all the difference. Warmly, Susan
Thank you for sharing the verses in Lamentations. Praise God for the gift of life and His mercy and Grace He gives each new day. The Lord is faithful. How incredible God healed you of Leukemia. Love your videos and this one is great, Sarah.
This video filled my soul! I was inspired in so many ways from the hotel tour. Then, at the end, your simple statement about suffering and net gain - SO well put!
As always, my heart beats a little faster when I see a new video posted… I always love the content no matter what the subject is. I think everyone that follows you has the same love and style for vintage and diy as you do. But what makes you so special is how you inject your faith and how to use it. Your approach to life is so inspiring. And it never fails, it seems that you will say something that I need to hear at that very moment and then it’s clear. God brought me to watching your video right then. “The Sarah effect” is real. You have touched my life in many ways. God Bless you ❤
Lisa, your words mean so much to me. I’m so grateful to hear that these videos resonate with you in such a meaningful way-what a gift to know God is using this little corner of the internet in that way. Thank you for your encouragement and kindness-it really lifts my heart. God bless you too! ❤️
I too, am a cancer survivor. I don’t think we talk very much about it. We just put one foot in front of the other & work toward the goal! Once we are there, we put it all behind us and march forward. You clearly did just that. We should be very proud of each other!😊
Yes! old school all the way. I hand write letters regularly and all my planning is done w/ lovely pen and paper. It's wonderful. I am in my 50"s and I have always done this and will continue. It adds loveliness to my life. I have never missed an appt, pen and paper have never let me down and no charging needed!
Beautiful! So glad you showed us these spaces! And so pleased for you that you plan these refresh getaways with your husband! I admire how intentional you are living!
Thank you so much for sharing your story and I am so glad you have come through victorious. The scripture is just what I need to hear at this time. Many Blessings to you and yours! ❤
Happy New Year, Sarah! 🎉🎉 That hotel reminds me of the lovely, eclectic English homes I knew in Australia. Comfy, cozy, collected. It's what we want our homes to be. ❤
Happy New Year to you too! 🎉🎉 I love that description-'comfy, cozy, collected' is exactly the vibe, isn’t it? That connection to English homes in Australia makes it even more special.
Thank you for those precious words of hope .,they are truly encouraging ,His mercies are new every morning and so great is He faithfulness ,blessing to you and your family Teresa in Mn
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your time away. A Sabbatical is an extended time away, sometimes weeks, but usually months or a whole year. What you took was a seasonal break. ❤
Hi Sarah, first of all happy new year to you and your sweet family! Great idea getting away every few months. That hotel was full of inspiration loved all the small details. There is definitely something to be said for suffering. You’ve been through a lot but have taken the high road. God continues to guide you and in turn we all learn and grow. So happy new year to all of you that are reading this now. Blessings to all of your families….
Sarah, I appreciate your openness about your cancer journey. I battled lymphoma for three years as a girl, and as you said it completely changed my view of life as well. Thank you for your encouragement through scripture and God's love. And of course sharing another beautiful space!
What a beautiful way to share with us!!! The content of your video was wonderful! Loved seeing the details of this incredible hotel! But I really loved how you shared your heart with us! Through the scriptures and through your personal story!!! We are thankful!!!!
Thank you for the virtual visit to Seattle. 🤗 We moved away from Northwest Washington a few years ago and I miss it dearly. 🤍 I also appreciated your Biblical reflections on life.
Oh my word , I’m sorry about the past but yes words of wisdom for sure !I loved the tour but your words were perfectly said !Perfectly Said !I mooing to repeat it to myself and someone I love .
One of my priority projects for 2025 is refinishing the table top of my vintage dark stained pine trestle style dining table. I look on FB Marketplace for trestle tables and can't justify a new purchase. The table I have is built well and fits the space perfectly, she's just ugly and beat without a table cloth. I will probably cheat and chalk paint and wax the the trestle parts in matte black but that allows me to do the same to my currently miss matched parsons chair legs. Briarsmoke will be my stain of choice with a matte poly topcoat.
hey girl- Happy New Year!😁 What a interesting Hotel😉 Loved the pic of the boxer because my husband and I have a 5 year old☺ and the fox pic to. We have had a fox come to our house quit a few times. Passing by I guess- so cute! Thanks Sarah for the inspiration😘 Have a blessed week🥰
Seattle is on my Bucket list! Love how uniquely charming, magical and so inviting these spaces were. HE is faithful, We strive to be what He would have us to be.
Thank you Sarah for sharing such a personal story of your cancer survival. You have the kindness, wisdom and love of someone who understands the big picture, who can see beauty around and can appreciate every moment of our precious life. Some events open up our spirituality and understanding…I guess this is what I really love in you, on the top of your delicate and excellent taste, relaxing and beautiful videos. Wishing you a fantastic and healthy new year, full of personal achievements ! Sending blessings your way
Life certainly has a way of teaching us perspective! Thank you for your beautiful insight. I'm a fellow Washingtonian and leukemia-survivor mom. I've spent a lot of time in Seattle hopping from medical facility to medical facility. Maybe I should visit for pleasure next time! 😊
A couple of years ago I memorized Lam. 3:22-26 out of the NIV Bible and I quote it everyday. It is so uplifting to my heart and soul. Thank you for sharing that! My husband passed away almost 15 years ago of pancreatic cancer but we used to love to go to lovely hotels for little getaways. Two I would recommend are Little House on the Lake (a B&B) outside of Harrison Hot Springs and Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island. The Palihotel looks like a fun place. As always, thank you for your beautiful videos! God bless!
My husband owns and operates The Glasshouse in Pioneer Square square so if you ever pop in, ask for Chris! They blow glass there of course, but also have consignment pieces. I think you would enjoy the space. It’s the oldest glassblowing studio in Seattle. Love your videos! I’ve enjoyed watching you for years now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words with us. Happy New Year! 💕
Thank you for your inspirational thoughts. We raised our sons to know Christ, discover His purpose for their lives, and to do it whole heartedly. The are now teaching their children the same lessons. Love you Sarah.
Happy New Year Sarah!!❤ Loved the video! Thank you for sharing The Word, and reminder to live intentionally, in the moment! 😊 January is the month I leave all of the trees up I’m the house, flocked and I flicked, for that cozy Winter vibe. Then I put them all away together for next year, and put up a few elegant touches of love for Valentines Day/ month. And THEN.. Spring is just around the corner and I start planning for Spring and Easter decor.. and on to July.. ❤ Really appreciate you Sarah!
Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your story! God sometimes takes us into the deepest valley to deepen our faith and to come forth as gold, giving him all the glory. We as a family are going through the valley now. Our 6 year old granddaughter, Lucy, went home to be with the Lord in June as a result of a freak accident with a badminton racket while on vacation. My son, Jesse, is a pastor at Green Pond Bible Chapel located in North Jeresy. He has a blog page, New Creation Living, where he shared his heart and God's grace during those 4 days at the children's hospital in Maine. It may be an encouragement if others venture to read it. God is sovereign, and his ways are perfect even when we don't understand. Our hearts are broken, but we know Jesus understands our pain and suffering more than anyone could. He is close to the broken-hearted. I wish you and your family a blessed new year.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Susan. Thankful that the Lord comforted your son and that he was able to give God the glory, even through such a terrible situation.
Ciao, i had feeling of Italian restaurant, artistic, stylish vintage. I'v been in restaurants that reminded me this place. Loved it, interesting hotel.
Happy New Year Sarah! Loved your video of the hotel- gave me such understated art deco vibes and glam! Loved your message on knowing what you are grateful for daily. I recently refound a book ( out thrifting) I use to own many years ago called Simple Abundance; by Sarah Ban Breathnach. It helped me through a very tough time then and is such a wonderful book to come back into my life. I think we all could benefit from its wisdom. Wishing you God’s blessings, now and always.
Thank you Sarah for this video, love the scripture at the end. One of my goals this year is to memorize scripture. I started with Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction".
When we stayed in a room with lots of noise outside. Our room had earplugs with the hotel branding to help block out the sound. This video is giving me some ideas on how I can do better branding for my vrbo Angus Ranch House. Thanks for the ideas, Sarah. I think I will challenge myself to do a better job at branding! The spiritual lessons here are powerful. I'm asking for prayer for my son who is struggling in his business. Please pray that he will focus on God and His will for his life and that he will know what his life is to be about. Please let me know if you are praying, Thank you!
It is a great idea to get "away'" and be organized. I like to, but I haven't thought about sharing the experiences. I enjoy your videos. I will try to see more. Blessings.
This is my New Year. Yes, God is good and I too, have had many bumps in the road of life, but when I lay them at the feet of Jesus, I have learned to get out of Gods way so he can do his work in his timing and don’t take them back. You have to totally trust in him, he wants good things for us. Thanks! Sarah, for always wonderful content. Marilyn From Michigan and have a blessed New Year to you and yours.
Have you stayed at the Davenport in Spokane? Or if you want to go a half an hour farther East into Idaho we stayed at the Roosevelt, a 1905 former school house. Very beautiful and the handmade breakfast is delicious and prepared for you. We were at Pikes Place Market right after New Years. Very fun.
Thank you for sharing your past struggle with cancer, I didn’t know that. I am also a cancer survivor(so far, anyway). In a week or so I will have another scan, my 6 month check up. This will be 3 1/2 years since my diagnosis and surgery and I always wonder what the Lord’s will will be for me this time? They say you should be a fighter, and I know I could be, but I’m never sure that’s what the Lord wants from me. I tell Him I would love to live, for my grandbabies’ sakes, but I want His will most and I know He has numbered my days and will do what’s best for me and everyone else, I trust His wisdom and character. The hotel was so beautiful. It seems like they thought of every detail! I would love to stay there sometime, although I’m sure I would expect to pay a dear price. I’m glad you had a nice getaway with your husband.
First, of all, I’m so sorry to hear you have been suffering with cancer. God bless you, God bless you! Secondly, I had some thoughts on your comment about not knowing if you should fight through this season. Life itself is a fight and it is in the struggle that we grow. If you are still breathing, God has good work for you to still do. We will have to answer to God for how we used our days, if we buried our talents or not. It sounds like you are in a good place in some ways, leaving the final outcome in His hands. But, we are still called to offer our bodies as living sacrifices to Him and steward well what He gives us. The gold (wisdom) that you are gaining through the refinement of cancer, is meant to be shared with others. I think your impact is going to be more powerful than ever. If He chooses to heal by taking you to Heaven, go out taking as many souls as you can! That will take some fight.
Definitely not my style but I would totally love to visit and see it!!! I can see why you loved it. I think my favorite thing was the powder room...again, not my style but sooooo inspiring!!!
Bahaha, oh my gosh, you are right!🤣 I should not be allowed on UA-cam, the amount of words I say wrong in these videos! Oh well, thank God for things that keep us humble, right?
Hi, Sarah! I have a non-related question about makeup. 😆 I think our eye shapes are similar, and I need advice. Do you ever experience foundation/concealer settling into fine lines under your eyes and on your eyelids? If so, what have you found to help?
It sounds like you might need a new foundation. Here is the one I love, I have been using it for years, I hope they don’t discontinue it!! rstyle.me/+v3RVIxQlitx2yf5wokaCuw
I am a freelance photographer and my healthcare employer is merging into Wyoming (live in Eastern South Dakota) and waiting to find out if I can move to Wyoming and keep my job to work remote. Have been traveling to Wyoming for photography for the last 3 years and it's were my heart is with the mountains and more promising for photography
Thank you! My background is non-denominational, I have walked with Jesus for 33 years. Also, I said the name wrong for the pens.🧐 Its actually “Paper Mate”🤣
Please watch the video Scott Carney made about the owner of AG1. I personally would not use or promote this product. Loved your video other than the sponsor portion. 😊
From what I can tell, the critics of AG1 are critical of the entire vitamin / supplement industry, as well as business, in general. They think it’s overpriced, but if people love the convenience and results of AG1, then the cost worth it to them. I have not heard anything super convincing yet against AG1.
@SheHoldsDearly I can tell by your response that you didn't watch the video. Scott wasn't critical of the product , however, more so, the creator. My feelings and personal opinions are that if you are going to promote a product to your followers, you have a responsibility to know what and who you're promoting. Otherwise, it looks as if all you care about is getting paid, and as a Christian, it is not a good look. We already get a bad rap as it is.
The first thing that drew me to your channel was your soft, loving personality. Of course, I love the content. Then I kept following you because you aren’t afraid of showing us Christ through your program.

The sweater you are wearing is the perfect color for your hair, skin and eyes.
Oh that is so sweet - Thank you!
Thank you so much for a great video and a great message. We always need to hear how to be more grateful for each and every day we are given!
Thank you for sharing the verses in Lamentations. Praise God for the gift of life and His mercy and Grace He gives each new day. The Lord is faithful. How incredible God healed you of Leukemia. Love your videos and this one is great, Sarah.
I had to rewind & pause on the art piece in the restaurant hung from the velvet ribbon. Totally a Sarah vibe... love it!
This video filled my soul! I was inspired in so many ways from the hotel tour. Then, at the end, your simple statement about suffering and net gain - SO well put!
I needed these verses! Excited about a fresh vision for this year!❤😊🎉

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and your time away.
A Sabbatical is an extended time away, sometimes weeks, but usually months or a whole year.
What you took was a seasonal break. ❤
Yes, that is true. Longer than a Sabbath, shorter than a Sabbatical. We need a new word for something like that. A “mini- sabbatical”??🤣
Hotel looks a little art deco. Love it.
Yes, there were certainly some elements of that, too!
Thank you for the reminder to not waste our days. Some sage advice.
I'm so glad you found it helpful!

Thank you for sharing! I hope others see this comment too if they're planning a trip to Seattle!
Lovely hotel. It's funny to me how the portrait in the restaurant at 16:38 looks like it could've been your ancestor taken off of your wall at home.
Thank you for your inspirational thoughts. We raised our sons to know Christ, discover His purpose for their lives, and to do it whole heartedly. The are now teaching their children the same lessons. Love you Sarah.
Happy New Year Sarah!!❤
Loved the video! Thank you for sharing The Word, and reminder to live intentionally, in the moment! 😊 January is the month I leave all of the trees up
I’m the house, flocked and I flicked, for that cozy Winter vibe. Then I put them all away together for next year, and put up a few elegant touches of love for Valentines Day/ month. And THEN.. Spring is just around the corner and I start planning for Spring and Easter decor.. and on to July.. ❤ Really appreciate you Sarah!
Hi Sarah! Today you hit most of the items in my head I have been working on. Thank you! A good sister in Christ, you are! ❤
I'm so glad it helped!
Thanks for sharing your hope. It’s truly inspiring 🙏
Love the green , I wished we knew what the color was .
🙏
I'm so sorry for your loss, Susan. Thankful that the Lord comforted your son and that he was able to give God the glory, even through such a terrible situation.
I love that even though the lobby is larger and has many seats it still feels very intimate.., that’s something I’m hoping to strive for this year
Yes! It is such a good design.
I love office supplies too! this is by far my favorite video of yours. Thanks for sharing Bible verses.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I used the PaperMATE flair pen for grading papers in my class for 20 years. It's my favorite.
Thankyou for sharing scriptures!
Happy to, Kim!
Thank you for your wise words ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed them!
What a great video. Your channel is always so inspiring and uplifting. Thank you so much, and best wishes for an amazing 2025. ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Happy New Year to you!
Ciao, i had feeling of Italian restaurant, artistic, stylish vintage. I'v been in restaurants that reminded me this place. Loved it, interesting hotel.
Thx for this heartfelt session. God, bless Sarah.
Oh yes! My mother in law gave that to me years ago.
Thank you Sarah for this video, love the scripture at the end. One of my goals this year is to memorize scripture. I started with Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction".
That is such a good goal for 2025!
So many great reminders, suggestions & prompts in your video today. Thank-you for sharing.❤
I’m glad you found it helpful, Trisha!❤️
No Word's 💚
Blessings.
And, I am a planner, too! ☺️
Wow, the HOPE of the gospel that is Jesus, and each day is new with HIM !! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your thoughts and sharing. ❤
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Kathy!
Very fun.
What a cool place!
It was so fun to visit!
What a fun and beautiful vlog.....thank you!❤
I'm so glad you liked it, Leigh!
Thank you so much for your encouragement!
Definitely not my style but I would totally love to visit and see it!!! I can see why you loved it. I think my favorite thing was the powder room...again, not my style but sooooo inspiring!!!
Yes! I love gathering inspiration, even from things that are outside my regular style!
Great video, Sarah!
2:20 Paper MATE, Sweetpea. 😂 I don’t want someone being mean to you! 😘😘😘
Bahaha, oh my gosh, you are right!🤣 I should not be allowed on UA-cam, the amount of words I say wrong in these videos! Oh well, thank God for things that keep us humble, right?
@ Oh no! You must be on UA-cam! 😂 I hated to even say anything! 😘 I just don’t want someone being rude to you! And besides….we ALL love a good mart! 😜
@@FreckledGeminiit’s ok, I can take it.😂😂 Thank you for pointing that out, though.❤

Happy New Year ❤
Happy New Year to you too! 🎉

Happy New Year, loved your conclusion and the bible verses selected. May I ask what denomination/church you are? Oh and the papermart pen!❤
Thank you! My background is non-denominational, I have walked with Jesus for 33 years. Also, I said the name wrong for the pens.🧐 Its actually “Paper Mate”🤣
Bonjour
J’aime bien ❤
J’adore le psaume 90/91, il me parle vraiment!❤

Please watch the video Scott Carney made about the owner of AG1. I personally would not use or promote this product. Loved your video other than the sponsor portion. 😊
Yep.
I’m going to check this out, thank you. I had thought that the leadership had changed over and they had rebranded, but I will let you know.❤
From what I can tell, the critics of AG1 are critical of the entire vitamin / supplement industry, as well as business, in general.
