THAT is a honest, clean reaction . Many of us don´t care about a academic lecture, just what you give to us ... Your smile , the shine in your eyes, the shock of finding the unexpected and not knowing exactly what you are witnessing, but enjoying it. Gracias
Thank you for reacting and listening Los Jaivas! They have an impressive discography plenty of good music inspired by andean roots and latin folk. After +60 years they are still active. Also, they've played in iconic places like Machu Pichu, La Antartida and the Atacama desert. I suggest you to react to 'La Conquistada', 'Canción del Sur', 'Tarka y Ocarina', 'Arauco Tiene Una Pena'... all of them are beautiful and unique songs. Subscribed 🔔
Started simultaneous the electric guitar and the 'charango' (little guitar from Bolivia and Peru, The Andes Mountain)... that was the hippie age in Chile. Thanks for you excellent reaction!! Greetings from Santiago de Chile.
Many thanks!!! Such a classic song from them and from Latinamerica. From Chile to the World. Los Jaivas could be the more influential latin rock band ever, mixing rock with latin folk instruments, like flutes, bongos and charangos, building a really innovative sound for those days. The drummer was in another level. They were specially recognized in europe. Regards from Chile!!
This song is about a little girl which lose her dad on a cold night... because they were homeless.. the singer saw this on the newspaper and inspired this song... "for the daughter of a man with crystal eyes and newspaper sealed on skin" the man died, so that's crystal eyes, and homeless people when died on street, they cover them with paper, or newspaper.... and that's the sealed body... sad , but beautiful song for the little girl
Join you I will!.. storyline … depicts a scene where a father prepares his daughter ( niñita ) for what’s to come in life… Wisdom passed on from old age to youth… all done to music and tremendous talent. Their catalogue is exceptionally complex, long, and kicks ass!!! Take it from a Chileno who’s been following Los Jaivas since time eternal…

So that you don't have trouble with the pronunciation, the group was initially called "The High bas".... But to make it sound good in Spanish, they started calling themselves Los Jaivas.
thank you for react, your smile said everything.
