I literally went from plat 2 to diamond 1 by doing the forward white tower ram push; in two days lol
I hope you cover how to beat this strat, its near unstoppable unless you expect it/see the vills.

The reason he didn't go fire lancers is probably that he had to invest 1800 resources and that would have delayed his attack too much.

He would've made up for it with the fire damage - he absolutely wins that game if he goes fire lancers

Does anyone know how match making works in AoE? I am gold 1 (I'm a noob, a very casual player) and I get matched with platinum and diamond players quite often. It's not fun, I get fucked everytime single time

Even in Fahrenheit, room temp is around 70, so at least he'd seem a bit smarter to Americans :P

Can I just say the English aren't that easy to play any more as they have lost a late game win condition. I actually liked how English used to play more: it was "can u defend urself and survive until you got 72 farms." That was a nice little way to play. Now they are always gonna lose cos of the pop cap kicking in. Their units are just too crap in imperial and they can't print maa anymore

I mean English got their most broken things tuned down(NoC and enclosures) but also they got their major weakness completely removed (early castle) so i don't think they are worse now. Also every single landmark they have has been buffed and now the civ is waaaay more flexible and still the easiest civ.
And even if they had a broken late game most english players still almost always went for early agression and only if that failed they turtled into late game, now they can transition into castle age incredibly easy (crosbows from CH and everything from WT at 200% production speed) and just keep fighting if not closing the game before imperial.

@Daudi well I play a lot of 4v4 and they usually go to imperial Nd quite honestly unless its 300 ppp cap English are borderline unplayable. You end up with villagers, priests, trebs and crossbows and knights having to bugger about building towers repairing seige, tou have to build berkshire and white tower to secure your own farm line. You need loads of stone to build walls to stop raids.. (cos everyone knows to raid you) and it's too small an army to do anything when 120 french knights hit your base

Great game, only suggestion would be to not tell us that a player suggested you to cast the game, kind of makes me feel distracted and waiting for the reason you were suggested to cast.
