She actually sings in a very old Hollywood sound, so it's much more of a n vintage sound and her music sounds very vintage, to me it isn't strange, it's art.
well, they didn't say she sounded like lorde, just that her music reminded them of lorde's. i don't think they necessarily meant to imply that she took inspiration from lorde, just making connections to smth they already knew
Lana del Rey is in my opinion the best songwriter of this past decade, a true modern poet with incredible tunes as well. She might not be the standout singer (no Adele ....), but all of her songs and albums have met highest standards, and are all timeless. So if sth will survive the wheel of time, then her music will be one of them.
Blue jeans, West Coast, summertime sadness, Diet Mtn Dew, High by the Beach, Doin Time, Video Games!!! I saw Lana Del Rey in Nashville, such a beautiful voice and soul ❤️
Yep. LANA! She's awesome, guys. She's got a LOT of great tunes. Blue Jeans. Summertime Sadness, National Anthem. Lana is definitely a "mood thing." She's dark and sultry, bringing back hints of an older time.
Wow, this reaction caught me off guard. Love me some Lana 😍...Ultraviolence is a super underrated album. Lots of trippy, psychedelic pop songs that just hit different. I love this one too though. She's kind of an old soul and I dig it.
Lana Del Rey is one of my favorites. I recommend the video for Ride next. She’s a poet and that video really showcases. Be sure it’s the video though bc it contains more than just the song. She also has a new song that just came out called Arcadia.
Great reaction! I started a journey through Lana's discography over the last 6 months or so and she is worth the journey. As her albums progress, she lightens up lyrically a bit as she ages and grows as a person and her music becomes a slightly different experience. But her albums have been consistently good even if she fell off the mainstream radar on the charts since this era. Some of her music is dark and depressing, sure. But I would highly recommend exploring much more of her work. She is more than just this vibe alone. Thanks for the great reaction!
Many years ago, I fell in love with Stevie Nicks. For most of my life I thought I would never be enchanted the way Stevie does until one day while watching American Horror Story and hearing her song Gods and Monsters sung by Jessica Lange in the show. It was so powerful a song I went looking for the the original and it was like the gods sent an angel to me. I have been obsessed over her singing even since - the only voice the moves me the way Stevie did since the early 80s. While Flor Jansen (NightWish) has the greatest rock female vocals of all time, Lana to me just enthralls me to the bone.
It’s crazy how many people slept on Lana deal Rey, I started listening to her when she first came out and went to her concerts they were never extremely crowded, it took 15 years for people to catch on. If you are naturally depressed you seek her music early on and can think like her
i ave to agree with lex you both need to hear more of lana del ray song she has one of them voices you cant forget ave about 4 of her albums and love them all
Just for you to know. Lana del Rey have released some of the most important albums of the last decades. She may be underrated but she is very important for the music industry.
Yess! Okay y’all gotta do Off to the Races, Ride, West Coast, Cola, Dark Paradise, Blue Jeans Shades of Cool & Brooklyn Baby..you def get more into the vibes. 😎👌🏼🙏🏼❤️
More Lana!! Lana isn't a power house vocalist like Beyonce, Adele and etc. But she can create magic with her voice in her own style. Trust me. You guys will love her.
ohmy gosh yes PLEASE PLEASE do more lana. ive watched you guys for a while now, and im so happy that you guys are checking her out!!!!!! she is the best!!!!!!! i love her so much i HAVE to subscribe if you guys are going to be doing more of her songs her lyrics are very poetic to a lot of her songs, its good to pay attention to them
If you want to hear more of her range, listen to "Off to the races", her second track off of that album. Absolutely phenomenal pop song too. It's so well-composed.
Her best song is actually on the Great Gatsby Film Soundtrack in my opinion, it's called Young and Beautiful, not massively keen on her voice but it's perfect in this song you should really check it out 💯
I've been watching your reactions for a minute now and I love watching you guys, I've mostly seen your reactions to rock bands. I was happy to catch this reaction, Lana is one of my favorite artists of all time. I would highly recommend a reaction to the following (but not limited to): • Blue Jeans • National Anthem • Ride • Tropico (30 min short film/3 songs) • Shades of Cool • High by the Beach • Lust for Life • Doin' Time • Chemtrails Over the Country Club Plus, her newest video... • Arcadia It's so hard to pick a favorite, she's just so amazing and has such entertaining music videos. Keep up the fun work. Looking forward to more Lana Del Rey reactions. Much love 💙, from a native of Lana's stomping grounds, L.A., Courtney
Check out her full discography in order. You won’t be disappointed ❤️ her vocal and lyrical range over the years is amazing. My favorite artist of all time.
back three months later still hoping for more lana del rey reactions 🥺🥺 please her stuff is so good. check out any songs from her album “ ultraviolence “ she has a lot of songs where her range is more shown. one of her new songs “dealer” she’s basically screaming her feelings at us. her voice is just sooooo interesting.
Please react to anything else by her 💯 Off To The Races, West Coast, Fuck It I Love You, Lust For Life, Blue Jeans, Shades of Cool, all great songs with music videos. Off to the Races doesn’t have a video but it’s her best song
Check out summertime sadness or dark paradise by is paradise by Lana Del Rey She can actually get some really high notes and does have a powerful voice Very beautiful
You really need to hear her other tunes, this girl has the most unique voice of this generation, lorde came after her and kinda took her style and way of singing.
The Sword doesn’t get enough attention and nobody else has reacted them yet, so you guys should do them first. they sound like a modern black sabbath. you can thank me later🤟
I’d love to see you guys do more Lana reactions, this was a really great reaction, Video Games would be the best song in my opinion to listen to next, this whole album is really incredible though
Edith Piaf is one of my all-time favorites! Your next Lana del Rey song should be "Gods and Monsters..." It's brilliant and it's kind of a glimpse into the dark side LA night life!
Her sound (and voice) evolved over the years and her 7 major label studio albums. Norman F* Rockwell, her 5th album, is way different and is her most acclaimed album. Give "Venice Bitch" or "Marina's Appartment Complex" a spin and (hopefully) reaction video. And for a compeletely different approach to her voice, may I suggest White Dress (from her 6th album Chemtrails) or Dealer (from her 7th album). With these songs, you'll hear a much different Lana. Love her.
She actually sings in a very old Hollywood sound, so it's much more of a n vintage sound and her music sounds very vintage, to me it isn't strange, it's art.
True
Would you say, similar to Amy Winehouse?
I would say Marlene Dietrich
@@kyleorr533 yes
Lorde, Billie Eilish, Halsey. Every other “sad girl” vocalist in the past decade owe their existences to Lana Del Rey.
Yes 🙌
facts
you could say Lana owes her existence to Amy Winehouse, although Amy was a bit more upbeat.
Ahh halsey
@@smiggypaul They are pretty different vocally but Lana did say once that her favourite song was back to black and she was inspired by Amy.
Lana del Rey doesn’t sound like Lorde, Lorde sounds like Lana del Rey.
Facts!!!
I knoooow! I'm glad they did a video on her...but wish they had done research. Lana was before Lorde, Billie, etc.
well, they didn't say she sounded like lorde, just that her music reminded them of lorde's. i don't think they necessarily meant to imply that she took inspiration from lorde, just making connections to smth they already knew
y’all say anything,,,they both have their own unique voices

She is better than Adele 🔥🔥🔥
This will be an unpopular opinion but she kinda only sings about 4 things. Death, Love, Sun Dresses, and conspiracy theories
@@Tanatie that’s what everyone talks about when they sing oh and sex hahahahaha dummy
@@reginoramos6956 true. Which is why best songwriter of the decade is ridiculous.
@@Tanatie OK. I think you could say the same about William Shakespeare.
React to more of her music. She’s one of a kind. 🖤

Her song , Ultra-violence is one of my favourites from her 👍🏴
That whole album is incredible. Super underrated.
Lana Del Rey did a song in the movie Maleficent. It's the classic Disney title Once Upon A Dream, and it is HAUNTING and gorgeous. I love it.
It's alright. Not even in her top 50 best songs lmao
@@RomanNavi
It’s one of her best in terms of haunting feel

She's my favorite female artist. I've been waiting for you guys to react to her for a while now.
Wow, this reaction caught me off guard. Love me some Lana 😍...Ultraviolence is a super underrated album. Lots of trippy, psychedelic pop songs that just hit different. I love this one too though. She's kind of an old soul and I dig it.
Ultraviolence is not underrated at ALL lmao, everybody loves that album. Most people (including me) believe it to be her best or second best album.
Lana Del Rey is one of my favorites. I recommend the video for Ride next. She’s a poet and that video really showcases. Be sure it’s the video though bc it contains more than just the song. She also has a new song that just came out called Arcadia.

I love Lana. Really do hope they grow to love her too.
In for a treat
She’s dead, like a ghost, singing about her love from the halls of heaven.

I absolutely love Lana Del Rey's music and I'm a Metalhead
Lana Del Rey? lmao I wasn't expecting this one
I like this song, not what I usually listen to, but I like it
I'm mostly a rock/metal guy, but she's one of the few pop artists I truly enjoy:)
I myself am also a metalhead but I don’t consider Lana’s music pop. It’s a genre I don’t know the name of.
the lady on the right is too smart for this guy, I would've love to hear more of her thoughts on the song/video concept
