You gotta love Japanese 2nd hand. So Pristine. I'm also one of those that have never played a Ratchet and Clank game. I had the remasters and some of the PS2 ones but have yet to touch it. And no pick-ups in a while for me :(
Nice pickups! Ratchet & Clank is a lot of fun on the PS2, but the PS4 re-imaging of it is just incredible. If you have a PS4 definitely check it out. It really cheap now too. Around $14 brand new last I checked.
I think Ridge Racer Evolution is one of the only Ridge Racer games i've not played and i've played most of them. I wish they'd revamp the series fo XB1/PS4. The Ratchet and Clank series is just great, never actually played the originals on PS2 but the ones released on PS3/PS4 blew my away, so much going on and very close to a CG animated movie.
Yep i know what you mean, i have Ridge Racer Unbounded and it just isn't a true Ridge Racer game, the handling is just totally different and it was made by a third party. If they made another Ridge Racer like the original arcade ones, i would like the tracks to be brand new although with that same ridge racer vibe. I've grown a bit tired of playing the same tracks over and over.
Unless Sony get another team to do it. I'm pretty sure the guys that made Motor Toon Grand Prix are the guys that make the Gran Turisimo games, imagine that ;)
Thanks. I use D-Terminal to connect my PS 2 to the TV. D-Terminal is the exact same video signal as component but just terminates in a different looking socket. It was the standard for HD before HDMI came around in Japan.
Virtua fighter 4 evolution is not only the best in the series but probably one of the best fighting games ever. It came out here in the states as a budget release with 10th anniversary included in same disc. Probably spent the most hours on that one compared to the others in the series. My friends been bugging me to get splatoon 2 and it looks good but I'm not exactly in a rush to get it. Probably next switch game for me is sonic mania. I have all platforms it's available for but getting switch version for pure convenience.
It's been put back. I thought I had some GB games lying around the storage room but I didn't. Will get the video done mid August. When I wake up in the morning I will upload a cool HDMI Mega Drive video.
No seriously, I thought I had some Game Boy games in the storage room but when I went to look I couldn't find them. I picked up a few random carts today from hard off so I'll try to get the video made in a week or so. I'm actually away from tomorrow until Thursday night so I may make it on Friday if I'm not too sleepy for a Wednesday 16th upload.
Hey its ridge racer evolution (or revolution) its good game than your average racing game, well at least the story mode make it unique than many racing game at that time (specially its use japan background and art story) and i try to search captain commando for PS1 and yeah its time for me search the rom now
I remember playing a Ridge Racer game on the Game Cube which was pretty crappy. That PS2 game reminds me a lot of it. I should give it a try and find out how it actually is.
Retro Core I think R: Racing Evolution is the same game you had on the GC, it's the only RR game aside from RRV that Namco released on consoles that generation. It's also the only one that made it to the GC and Xbox, although it's more of a spin-off than a true Ridge Racer game. It has officially licensed vehicles and various tuning options so it's quite different to the rest of the series, although the story weaved between the races is similar to RR Type 4. I think it got pretty mediocre reviews because it was a strange mixture of serious simulation and arcade racer.
Wait the minute do you mean Gamecube version is same with ps2 version, you know what now i want Ridge Racer Evolution in retro port now, i play the ps2 game alot so i can say its good game but never try other version i even dont know there gamecube version (i only know xbox and ps2 version dont know if there arcade thought)
100 yen? That's about 70p in English money if I remember correctly. Darn that's cheap! Here we in the uk. Ps2, Xbox, PSP and DS games are real cheap. Even cheaper without cases. PSP and DS games are about 50p. Shops are getting savvy nowadays, I saw a MEGADRIVE game, PGA tour golf 2 for a fiver in a charity shop.
If there's no box or instructions I won't even entertain the notion of buying the game. No box to me is just the same as playing a rom :) luckily in Japan we can get some fantastic deals on older games. Of course not everything is cheap but there sure is a wide range.
I sure do. A compete Japanese collection excluding re-released titles as I see that as a pointless goal unless the re-release has differences such as Soukyugerentai or Cyber Doll.
yeeeees, your son 😉blink😉blink ..
awsome pick-ups, tnx for the video.
No worries.
Yeah, my kid is glued to Splatoon 2. He's never off it.
You gotta love Japanese 2nd hand. So Pristine.

Yes, I general used games in Japan unless those belong to little kids (mostly Nintendo DS stuff) is mainly in excellent condition.
Nice pickups!

Sadly I don't own a PS4 but am looking forward to finally playing the PS2 version.
I hope you enjoy it.
you will not have much space to keep your games. Nice pick ups man. Saludos desde España
This is so true. My space is almost gone :(
I always found it weird why the Sega logo is so absent on the Vampire Night case, pretty fun game as well
Probably some sort of deal with Namco.
I think Ridge Racer Evolution is one of the only Ridge Racer games i've not played and i've played most of them. I wish they'd revamp the series fo XB1/PS4.

I also wish Ridge Racer would make a comeback but if it did it must be in the style of the original Arcade games. Pure fantasy fun.
I also wish they'd bring back Motor Toon Grand Prix :)
Unless Sony get another team to do it. I'm pretty sure the guys that made Motor Toon Grand Prix are the guys that make the Gran Turisimo games, imagine that ;)
New tracks would be fine with me. The importance is that classic arcade look and feel.
I got the GB Boy Color for my girlfriend, pretty good device.
That's right. I had the GB Color version in the past. It was really good although the purists complained about the screen resolution.
Hey, you can play Vampire Night with a usb mouse, and it's very good that way!
Also other games like Silent Scope series for the ps2...
Really? On man, thats good to know. Thanks for the input.
It was my birthday last week and I got Marvel Super Heroes and Fighters Megamix and an Action Replay card for my Japanese Sega Saturn.
Three excellent pick ups right there. Oh, and happy belted birthday.
Great gaming pickups video! Do you use component cables to hook your PS2 up to an HDTV?
Thanks. I use D-Terminal to connect my PS 2 to the TV. D-Terminal is the exact same video signal as component but just terminates in a different looking socket. It was the standard for HD before HDMI came around in Japan.

I'd love a hard copy of Sonic Mania but as far as I know it's digital only. What a let down :(
Wheres the GB Boy review, havent seen it on your channel yet?
It's been put back. I thought I had some GB games lying around the storage room but I didn't. Will get the video done mid August. When I wake up in the morning I will upload a cool HDMI Mega Drive video.
hmmm cant tell if your being sarcastic with the cool HDMI Megadrive video or not lol

GB boy you need to replace the clock oscillator in it because one they used in it is too fast
They may have changed it in this new revision. I'll let you know in an upcoming video.
Square really went crazy with ideas during the PS 2 era... didn't they? XD
They sure did. Some were pretty good while others were not.

Oh crap, in that case I've already played this game a lot. Oh well, it was cheap so no worries.

They seem similar however I've not really played much of the PS2 game yet and it was a very long time ago when I played the GC game.

Do you still have your massive collection of Sega Saturn games?
I sure do. A compete Japanese collection excluding re-released titles as I see that as a pointless goal unless the re-release has differences such as Soukyugerentai or Cyber Doll.
Hm, so what was the point of putting CD in a can for these Sega minigames? Purely for promotional reasons or was there some explanation?
It was just a promotional gimmick.
