God will not accept sin:
God’s mercy is with the just and the unjust. He awaits upon the unjust to turn to him. But until then, God will not hear their prayers. All things done outside of God is a curse. Every thought, word, and deed will be accounted for. Every prayer a man prays without God is an abomination in His eyes, which causes hatred and disgust from God. He that is not with God is against God (Matthew 12:30). Everything sinners do is hated by God, for in their hearts they think they can do all things alone and without Him. They believe they do not _need God._
Therefore, He will remove himself from them and they will be destroyed, unless they repent. Amen.

Repentance is illustrated in the following verse:
2 Chronicles 7:14
New International Version
if my people, who are called by My Name,
(1) will humble themselves
(2) and pray
(3) and seek my face
(4) and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
You do the following 4 steps, you are doing and accomplishing Repentance and your heart will be healed and then continue to follow The Lord Jesus Christ.
