Matt, I had a yearly drift of leaves beside my driveway.I was cleaning that up whwen i saw a robin eying worms i had raked out. Slowly i flipped a worm to a robin...and he took it ! After that time robins would approach whenever i dug earth.Good Memories of fairly tame - acting robins. They remembered from year to year, i think.

As a kid we found a baby robin that fell out of its nest, we ended up raising it, everyday after school i would have to go dig up worms for him, he responded well to the care we gave him and eventually came the day we had to let him go.... OMG did i cry my eyes out...lol... We were all standing around as we brought him outside to finally be free, well Ol' Roscoe didnt want to be free... we kinda backed away from him, he flew right back and landed on my shoulder..... it got to the point were he wanted to spend the day out side and stay the night in the house on his little perch...... this went on for the entire summer....not until it started to get cold did he finally start becoming more wild..... than finally stopped coming around......really a neat experience.....we still talk about him.....

Robins tend to be incredibly inquisitive about human behavior. I will often see them perch on nearby fences, on the ground, or on branches and just watch me while I'm outside, curious to see what I'm doing. They of course fly away like any bird if approached but tend to take a much stronger interest in people than other birds.

If you do enough hiking from time to time... About every 5 years or so, sometimes you can find a baby that didn't quite get it right when it fell out of the nest. If you can catch them *WITHOUT* injuring them, get him in you cupped hands and bend down and throw them as high as you can back into the sky. I have saved more robins than not. If after two times they just don't get it leave them alone. They're extremely cute birds. I love robins!

Cute lil potbelly. I once raised a nestling Robin who fell very far from his nest to the ground after a storm. Luckily his injuries weren't critical, but there was no way to return him to the nest. Leaving him on the ground was not an option due to neighborhood cats. He was successfully raised and rehabilitated back into the suburbs and often came back to my balcony for treats❤
My only regret was hand rearing him and possibly making him a little too friendly of a Robin for most other people. I think he did okay though.

I do love them for bringing spring along. Over the years, with our trees maturing, we see more and more types of birds in the neighborhood, but Robins still seem to be the ones bringing along the spring. Plus, they have such a proud stance as they walk in the grass, and how they look at you for a moment, makes me smile every time.

I checked them again the next day and they had hatched. I’ve named them Sunny and Cream! Yesterday I got to see the mom and they are def robins!

I get a kick over how "violent" they are when bathing in the bird bath. Water flying every where and the robin totally soaked. They will sit on the fence to dry and sometimes go right back in. Also will jump under the sprinkler when I water my lawn and flower beds.

I've noticed the Robin has the most haphazard hasty nest of any other bird. They often seem to put them in unsafe spots.. Every summer, it seems, I find a Robin nest trashed by the wind with either broken eggs or dead young babies. So sad. LOVELY birds. Just arrived here a couple days ago in N.E. USA. Beautiful photography. Love your channel.

      I agree!!!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ Today is the day of Salvation: Why would anyone put off the most important decision they could ever make in their lives concerning eternal life? If you die today are you going to heaven? 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - The apostle Paul tells us what the gospel is: "Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Gospel means "good news." Your debt has been paid, the death penalty has been paid, you are free. Here's the Gospel of Jesus Christ: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Jesus brought in a little child as a living object lesson to show who enters the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3 - Jesus said: "Unless you become like this little child you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." This is how to be saved, it is simply child like, as simple as ABC: A - Admit that you are a sinner. This is where that godly sorrow leads to genuine repentance for sinning against a righteous God and there is a change of heart, we change our mind and God changes our hearts and regenerates us from the inside out. Romans 3:10 - As it is written: "There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:23 -For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (We are all born sinners which is why we must be born spiritually in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven). Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The bad news is that the wages of sin is death, in other words our sin means that we have been given a death sentence, we have the death penalty hanging over our heads, that's the bad news. But here's the good news: The good news is that the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephesians 2:8-9 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.
B - Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is trusting with all of your heart that Jesus Christ is who he said he was. Romans 10:9-10 - That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. C - Call upon the name of the Lord. Every single person who ever lived since Adam will bend their knee and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, the Lord of lords and the King of kings. Romans 14:11 - For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God." Don't wait until later - do this now. Romans 10:13 - For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." "O God, I am a sinner. I'm sorry for my sin. I want to turn from my sin. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son; I believe that He died on the cross for my sin and that He was buried and You raised Him to life. I have decided to place my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior, trusting only in His shed blood as sufficient to save my soul and to take me to heaven. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen."

i always look for the robins around february when the mulberry trees bear fruit. pretty sure they're getting hammered on the berries, they make all kinds of noise, dive bombing and gorging. then they disappear as quick as they appeared, their stay is about 3 to 4 days, and they make sure you know they're visiting.
my dad always put out bird feeders during the winter up north, he used to marvel at robins patiently waiting while the more aggressive birds got their fill and scattered seed all over the ground, the robins would then move in to get their share.

So much commotion, singing, chirping, wings flapping, berries splatting.... and by the next day all but about 10 remained which eventually trickled down to four and then finally two.
