Natasha, We used cup measurements for this recipe. It is easier to measure in Cups as the weight of the ingredients in grams is not consistent. You need to take a standard cup of around 240 to 250 ml. And then use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. Simple! 🙂 But for this recipe we used around 300 grams of Rava

Hi Venissa, yes you can use readymade roasted rava & no you don't need to roast it if it's already pre roasted. Yes you can use desiccated coconut but you will need to grind it with 2 tablespoons of Coconut milk to revive it. But your Bolinhas will still not taste the same as using freshly grated coconut. You will get around 30 Bolinhas with this quantity. Do also check out our Christmas Sweets Playlist for our entire collection 👇: ua-cam.com/play/PLjXg79Llo3rpprx7R2mXrOZYIj4HhUgVz.html

Sebastiana, it's easier to measure in Cups as the weight of the ingredients in grams is not consistent. You need to take a standard cup of around 240 to 250 ml. And then use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. Also lots of people do not have weighing scales. 🙂
Good to know that you tried this recipe. If your Bolinhas were slightly soft it could be that you removed them before they were completely baked or could be the temperature of the oven was not set properly. These two points could be the reason for your issue, considering that you otherwise followed all the steps as explained in the video 🙂
By the way did you use the top heat of the oven at the end? Also would like to know if the overall Bolinhas were slightly soft or just the inside of the Bolinhas.
Did they brown on top? If not, then most likely they weren't completely baked 🙂 You can put them back in a preheated oven and using only the top heat bake them again for 2 to 3 mins more until they brown slightly, ensuring they do not brown too much 🙂 Set the temperature at around 160 degrees Celsius and place the Bolinhas in the middle rack so that they are slightly away from the direct heat. Try this out and see the difference 🙂
Guillo, it's easier to measure in Cups as the weight of ingredients in grams is not consistent. You need to take a standard cup of around 240 to 250 ml. And then use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. Simple! 🙂
"Room temperature" typically refers to the ambient temperature in an indoor environment, which is considered comfortable for human occupancy. It's often around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius and not 14 Degrees 😀
Marie, it's easier to measure in Cups as the weight of ingredients in grams is not consistent. You need to take a standard cup of around 240 to 250 ml. And then use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. Simple! 🙂
Evelyn, we noticed that when we measure in cups it gives us different weight every time we measure the same ingredient. So we decided that measurements in Cups is more convenient and consistent as everyone has a cup but not everyone has a weighing scale at home. It is best to keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator, should last at least for a month. But remember to bring it to room temperature before consuming. Stored at room temperature it is best to consume within in 3 days as it is made with fresh coconut 🙂

Did you bake with fan on or off? Did you use the upper n lower heat whilst baking?

Good to know that you tried this recipe. @GetCookingNow underneath they were perfect on top they r soft but not falling apart..i put the top fire for 2 min..
Did they brown on top? If not, then most likely they weren't completely baked 🙂

@windragon, Did you store them in an airtight container? Also did you store them in the refrigerator?
What is the measurement in kg /gramß

Room temperature ?? My room temperature is 14°C😅
"Room temperature" typically refers to the ambient temperature in an indoor environment, which is considered comfortable for human occupancy. It's often around 20 to 25 degrees Celsius and not 14 Degrees 😀
@GetCookingNow Then , should i heat the butter a bit ?!?!
Yes, you and heat it up slightly in the microwave no problem 🙂
Nice receipe but tell the ingredients in gms also as cups becomes confusing
Marie, it's easier to measure in Cups as the weight of ingredients in grams is not consistent. You need to take a standard cup of around 240 to 250 ml. And then use the same cup to measure all the ingredients. Simple! 🙂
Love your recipes. Agree with Marie, it would be easier and consistent if it were in grams.

Shelf life
It is best to keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator, should last at least for a month. But remember to bring it to room temperature before consuming. Stored at room temperature it is best to consume within in 3 days as it is made with fresh coconut 🙂
