I would say I agree with you just based on how things look right now. However there is a history of the trials winners not winning the major championship and the 2nd and 3rd persons winning. Take recent instances for example in 2019 Elaine won the trials and yet Shelly won the World Championship gold and in 2021 Shelly won the trials 100m and Elaine had her amazing successful defense of her Olympic double and went on to win in an Olympic record and make the second fastest time ever 10.54s. So Shelly could possibly turn it around by Olympics although her age is a worry to me and says she just too old at this stage.

But, we said relax, the young guns will take care of business. Also, we saw that things were looking up for you yesterday. After Kishane stepped on the track yesterday, you went from nervous nelly to "licking shots" in the direction of a certain country! (Thanks for the laughs, man!). Peter Lloyd athletics season is back. First let me big up Stephen Francis and the MVP club. Now that the American and Jamaican trials are in the books I can say Paris will be very competitive for the women. I agreed with your commentary. Tia Clayton is extremely impressive although there are no surprises here. I am just happy for these two sisters to see where they are coming from and where they are now. Shericka has gotten the signal from Tia and we cannot lose sight of our American girl as you have mentioned. I am looking forward to a great Olympic championship.

Not exceptionally fast times but I'm happy for the women who qualified. There is almost a month before the Games so times could improve. I remember Elaine in 2021, who had ran 10.78s up to the trials and improved to 10.54s. Shericka looks in line to really challenge for the gold, Tia Clayton also looks like that. Shelly we know her history and with a month to go things can change up from the trials but she is also 37 (although they have 36 in the list of women to run).
