Preseason forecasts were really based on last season's performance. Arizona with a new coach has had to make adjustments to get back to that preseason hype. I think they have just turned the corner. They are in the race!
Every team this season will be a big challenge for Arizona with us having a new regime in but beating a high ranked opponent like Utah is definitely a confidence and momentum booster for the next game against TexTech. Hopefully we keep bringing that AZ dry heat versus them! Bear Down!
Wish Arizona could have spread the ball around vs TX Tech. We just did exact opposite. TX Tech has #11 run defense and front 7 though and that big 230 RB with Brooks who is like a Jonah Coleman. They are very underrated.
I don't want to hear any more about how Utah is instantly indestructible with Cam Rising. He's older than Alan Bowman and still in college for a reason
Cam Rising is like the mythical John Frum from a South Pacific Cargo Cult. No one can remember ever seeing him do anything amazing, but they are all convinced that he will return and bestow great and magnificent gifts on them at some time in the future.
Utah is a good QB away from being on top. Having a flaccid O is very demoralizing for everyone on the team. Constantly playing form behind is tough. Wilson is too inconsistent, brilliant then terrible. It deflates everyone. The rest of the team would rally with good O play, sink without it. And I’m a Y fan.
Utah should’ve been up 21-10 in the first half but that freshman qb struggled in the red. I was surprised at how well AZ ran the ball on Utah’s statistically high ranking run defense. And I haven’t seen that many turnover on downs since PlayStation days. AZ’s kicker might see the pros before Cam R as he’s rounding out his dbl doctorate degree.
Manhandled-the title on the thumbnail--is an exaggeration. Statistically, the game was quite close. It was a one score game in the 4th quarter, with momentum on the Utes side and Arizona was eep in their own territory on a 3rd and 11. But then Arizona came up with another big play that went their way. That was the difference, Arizona came up with the big plays (long 3rd down conversions during their drives) and scored in the red zone. The DBs broke up a number of pass plays, but were also early on several of those ‘pass break ups’. Refs were letting them play and the Utes did not pick up on that. Utah, on the other hand, botched their big plays, including a dropped interception, and were 0/4 on 4th down, including ones in the red zone. The Utes most certainly should have taken the points in those instances. Had that been the case, the Utes would not have needed to abandon the run at the end of the game. Arizona came off a bye, Utah was coming off an emotional road win. While I was disappointed in the game, let’s not get carried away. I expect the Utes to correct the ship during the bye week and win their next three outings. We’ll see after that. Bottom line: None of you haters ever believed in the Utes--so don’t tell me they aren’t “who we thought they were”. But be careful haters, college football has a funny way of making haters of all types eat crow.
@@goop3213you should look up the difference between excuses and reasons. Especially when you are a Kansas fan. There’s no excuse for the loss, Arizona was the better team Saturday and won fair-and-square. But anyone who thinks the Utes are ‘done’ are being silly. Conference is wide open-it has been that day from week 1-and the conference will only get one team in the CFP.
@mrp4242 who said they were done??? No not a gayhawk fan and for you to imply that you know where or what team I root for is as dumb as your excuses!!! Take yo butt hurt comments somewhere else!!
Meh, Utah always loses 1 game badly. It's better to lose early than late as Arizona did and had 2 weeks to get it fixed. 7 games to go and lot has to be decided on the field.
Get your kicks in while you can B12, but this animal isn’t dead. Fix some red zone packages and some questinable no calls on PI the game goes very different. Utah out gained AZ in total yards and was still using the trite freshman QB a lot had to go wrong that night for them to lose including Fifita playing lights out. Laugh all you want because Utah only does better as the underdog!
Seriously we're only 2 games into a long season and these hacks are already writing Utah off. I've seen Utah come back from an early season loss, even two, and still win the Pac 12. Enjoy the trash talking for the next couple of weeks. 😅
Manhandled, I like it ! It reminds me of football on real grass, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, heck, toss in a quick kick even, folks getting excited over the thought of getting lights at the stadium so a night game could be scheduled....how about a muddy wet football game, watching the lines start to dissappear the longer the game is played,... Good one John....
What's hilarious is they're usually the underdog. We were the backwoods team in the PAC. Funny, we lost to a PAC team. Let's see if there's a non PAC team who beat us.
Beautiful end to a great day.
BYU won its first Big XII road game.
Utah lost its first Big XII home game.
Priceless.

Great summary boss but keep in mind that we had 10 days to scheme this up
I was afraid of Utah. I still think they will likely beat ISU but now I think we have a chance. I guess I was taken in by the hype.
Run the table? You are nuts! No team wins out in the Big 12! Bear Down AZ

How Utah was seen as the team to do it makes me laugh so much
Utah found out what its like having a Wilson as a QB. Throws more pickles than completions, and makes just stupid decisions.
@@sotl97 I agree his brother is not it but what do you mean? Zach is trash in the nfl but dominated for BYU
Utah can move the ball, but their end zone game sucks

Don't worry, Iowa State and UCF will end your season with two Ls. You won't have to feel that your season was wrecked by things being unfair.

They were no calling PI on both sides of the ball, on the interception in the end zone, T Mac was pushed down out of bounds before the ball came 😂

There's a good chance 50 percent of them like "balls" and the other 50 percent will have an arranged marriage with their 12 year old cousin.
Pitt is 5-0 and not ranked. Just shut up
Once Redshirt Rising is done with his period, Utah will run through the rest of its schedule
Is there such a thing as a 10'th year 30+ year old redshirt senior? Given the current state of college football I would not be surprised.
