So, Sweeney Todd is on the list, but Les Miserables is not??
I can't believe you didn't include Les Misérables or The Phantom of the Opera.
When you said #1, Cats, I swear I had a heart attack. Don't scare me like that again lol
😂😂😂
You got that right!
I did a spit take.
@@rleutz13 what?
I almost spit out my water 😂
AND PLEASEEEHFJFJFJ WHO ELSE’S HEART DROPPED WITH THAT CATS JOKE I WAS SO HURT AND APPALLED FOR A SEC😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Wicked is coming out in December. I can't wait!
The lesson learned is that when one casts Broadway/musical professionals in movie musicals we get masterpieces.
Like Audrey Hepburn and Natalie Wood, both dubbed by Marni Nixon? Deborah Kerr? Marni Nixon. Rosalind Russell? Lisa Kirk.
True
@@charliep123 Rossano Brazzi in South PAcific? Georgio Tozzi's singing voice. Eleanor Powell, who had sung and danced on Boradway and had a lovely voice, was dubbed in all of her movies but one (Broadway Melody of 1940). Debbie Reynolds in Singin' In The Rain? Dubbed for Would You (by Betty Noyes). Ava Gardner in Show Boat? dubbed (and she recorded the sound track and was just fine). Even Dennis Morgan in The Great Ziegfeld "A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody" was dubbed (by Allan Jones) even though he himself was a fine singer.
You shouldn’t have left out My Fair Lady ❗️Audrey was perfectly adequate to sing the songs, as shown on Blu-ray extras. All they had to do was put in a few high trills by Marnie Nixon, (like they did for Marilyn in “Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend”) and it would be a Perfect movie. Audrey had a Charm & Charisma that Julie lacked for the part. 🌸
@@robertn800 I didn't leave it out. I said that she was dubbed by Marni Nixon and that could only have been for My Fair Lady.
The Sound of Music is timeless 😍😍😍
Well, the joke's on me, because my hatred of _The Sound of Music_ knows no bounds.
What is it with americans and The Sound of Music?
I love Julie Andrews but this Film is so cheesy, so untrue. And the Music is so bland.
True, It's my favorite with le miserables and west side story.
Rocky Horror Picture Show deserves way more than just an honorable mention
Agreed!
i gasped that it wasn't nr 1??? the audacity!!!
True
I like it, it's a LOT of fun. But it's not good, at all. i was surprised it even got an honorable mention
I’d still love to see Wicked be turned into a movie musical in theaters!!
and it is by the same guy who directed in the heights
They have one planned and postponed it in favour of Cats....big mistake...
Yeah, but I don't think that they'll be able to use Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth
Meet too and I liked to see in the movie the original Cast Edina menzel as Elphaba and Kristin chenoweth as Glinda
It's set to be filmed in the fall in Atlanta
Man, I love Tim Curry. 🤩
It’s a downright shame that ‘80s, and onward, movie industry didn’t gave him roles that made him truly shine and get recognized the way his talent deserved.
IIRC he actually actively shunned similar roles and tried to cultivate a different image so he wouldn't be typecast as Frank-n-Furter for his whole career.
I honestly love both West Side Story (1961) and The Sound of Music (1965) from Robert Wise.
Both are great Oscar winners for both Best Director & Best Picture from him. It's hard to say who's better cause...There both Iconic's and a lot of reference's to them in Pop Culture.
M
My favourite musical adaptation is definitely Chicago.
The Sound of Music movie is incredible I can watch it 10 times in a row and not be bored
Same
me too
Me too!! I developed my Julie Andrews obsession because of that movie
Same! Maybe the film I've watched the most times in my childhood 😊😊😊
A lot of you: Why is Hairspray so high???
Me: Why is Hairspray so low????!!!
I wish the original movie had been shown more
Hairspray is way too low!! I thought the movie had the BEST casting ever ♥️
**Cats gets number 1**
Me: Wait a damn minute....
**Reveals Sound Of Music wins instead**
Me: Ok good. You’re still in the fam.
Ok, this is long. But I’m glad *A Chorus Line* wasn’t nominated... it’s kind of boring and it feels unfaithful....
Hey, if that kind of a mistake is good enough for the Academy Awards......,
It’s an actually crime that Mamma Mia wasn’t even mentioned.
Meh- the casting choices were really NOT great IMO. Fun for sure, and I rather enjoyed the film adaptation, but definitely think they could’ve casted much better.
Because it wasn't good
yeah i agree i love both movies.
Honorable mentions should have included THE KING AND I, SOUTH PACIFIC, and HELLO, DOLLY!
Oh my gosh when you said Cats My jaw honestly dropped. Don’t play me like that again
Oh come on meow. They were just kitten around. 😹
Fiddler On the Roof is so good! It’s a very unappreciated musical. Oliver is too
I agree with both
I loved The King and I when I was little, the sets and the music were so beautiful!
Johnny and Helena were great in "Sweeney Todd", Sacha too but let's not forget the most beautiful voice of this : Alan, who left us too soon (but everybody goes too soon) and will be always missed after all these years. Yes, always.
Wish you had mentioned one of my favorite movie (musicals) of all time... Milos Foreman’s “Hair” (1979). It’s awesome
The fact that neither Les Mis nor Mamma Mia is on this list is a cause for concern.
omg Mamma Mia absolutely needs to be on here!
Les Miz isn't great... Mamma Mia is fine, I haven't seen the stage show so I can't make that comparison though.
@@mcwyman7928 I´d say that´s a matter of personal preference. For instance, I don´t think West Side Story or Grease are particularly good, but they´re both relevant to this topic. And in that respect, I believe Les Mis absolutely needs to be there. For the innovative approach to the way it was recorded if nothing else.
Let's hope they do a part 2!
Innovative filming technique or not….Les Mis (and Mamma Mia) were rightfully left OFF this list.
I can totally see Cabaret and Chicago be together as a fun musical
Well, I first saw Cabaret and Chicago, in Chicago. Does that count?
My favorite musical movie adaptation is In the heights ( as hamilton is not included in this category)
It’s because it wasn’t a movie like in the heights it’s the musical in Broadway but it’s probably not that far now
I don't think it was out when they made this list. Looks like msmojo will have to do it again!
Oh wait, this came out 5 hours ago? Never mind. I thought it said 5 years 😂
It's sooooo good!!
Rent ? I mean 😢 it was a musical then a movie adaptation was made years later. How you don’t have Rent not even as an honorable mention 😭😭😭😭😭
Because everyone in the cast was a decade too old for their roles?
@@fabianhebestreit3240 Grease as well 😂
@@GGSoneBAPBaby Well, both are terrible adaptations.
@@fabianhebestreit3240 agree to disagree
I’m so sad Rent wasn’t on here at all!
Hairspray is my favourite movie musical adaptation, and I enjoyed it even more than the stage production! 🎶😍
YES!!! I was so excited to see it there.
I actually like both versions equally
Definitely DreamGirls, The Greatest Showman, Annie, Beauty the the Beast, The Prince of Egypt and Rent!!!!
Those are movie adaptations. Greatest Showman, Prince of Egypt, and Beauty and the Beast were original movie musicals. With Rent I can agree as a mention.
"The Greatest Showman" wasn't a Broadway show, hence why it wasn't chosen.
Annie!
I am so glad "The Sound of Music" made number one. I absolutely love that film and musical. The songs are so beautiful and the story is so strong.
sorry, but Rocky Horror should always be a number one!
Its hard to Pick a No 1 here but RHPS is definatly the one with the most cult factor. Its just iconic.
It redefined the show and improved it - and the cast was perfect. My No. 1, too.
My second choice would be Cabaret - definitely different from the stage show but a great translation to the screen - and an iconic Liza.
I loved Into the Woods adaptation idk why everyone says it’s terrible
Cause it was terrible
@@avinaavalon8490 How
It’s bad bc of the cast and it tries to be funny, although it never is. If you want to watch a GOOD into the woods then watch the original cast
@@Mary_Nguyen385 where can i watch it
Likewise, the critics aren't always right!
I feel like Tim Burton did the casting well for the film version of Sweeney Todd. And I wish that you could've put a tie between Fiddler on The Roof and Sound of Music because they're both so freaking good. Cats (2019) shouldn't even be anywhere near this list.
'Once' was a movie that moved to the stage.
'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' was a movie that moved to the stage.
"Shrek' was a CGI movie that moved to the stage.
'SpongeBob Squarepants' was a kids' TV cartoon that moved to the stage.
'Harispray' was a movie that moved to the stage then became a movie again :D
Hedwig started on stage, off-Broadway, then went to Broadway 14 years after the movie.
@@asterismos5451 good to know :) yes, stage in 1998, then film in 2001, then to B'way in 2014.
@@reghunt2487 Stage well before that actually! It premiered as a weird musical/comedy/drag performance at a gay bar in 1994 and evolved from there for several years before the official off-Broadway production in 1998. If you're curious I do recommend the Broadway production with John Cameron Mitchell over all the other options! Though obviously the movie's the most accessible.
Phantom of the Opera should have been on the list. Thats an incredible musical movie adaptation 🎶🎵🎼📽🎥🕯
I agree, but not a lot of people like the 2004 movie.
@@collegestudent9313 I loved it! For me, it was one of the truer adaptations.
I loved the Christine in the movie but for me, the Phantom ruined it. It's a gorgeous film, though.
Meee too I think Gerard Butler did an outstanding job as the phantom. Considering all his previous roles as an actor I was pleasantly surprised and well impressed. Who knew that man had a set of pipes on him. Absolutely loved it ♥️♥️♥️
People who have seen the stage show know that it was a terrible adaptation. It should never be on this list
Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated Fiddler On the Roof deserves far more than an honorable mention.
I am not a theater geek. I am not a theater geek. I am not a theater geek. I saw everyone of these movies in a theater and could sing along with every song. I am a theater Queen.
I was surprised that Phantom wasn’t listed but oh well there are so many to choose from!
Why surprised?! The only halfway decent thing about it was Emmy Rossum’s performance. Now if they could have done it when they WANTED to with the cast they WANTED…that’s another story.
@@maureengallagher8076 Very incorrect. The Phantom of the Opera premiered on London's West End in 1986. It premiered on Broadway 1/26/88. The movie was released in 2004.
@@maureengallagher8076 First go back to the introduction of this video & what the criteria for this video is. It is stage musicals that were made into movies so your argument is nonsensical & pointless . Second even if your argument had to do with the scope of this video you would also have to discount My Fair Lady as there was the movie Pygmalion starring Leslie Howard which came out in the 1930's & all the many earlier movie versions of Oliver Twist. West Side Story is a modern version of Romeo & Juliet with again earlier movie versions.
Okay, please do a part 2 to this. I can think of 3 great ones for the list.
Annie, Les Miserables, and The Phantom of the Opera!
2 more... Rent and Mamma Mia!
I wish this would have been a top 20 list! I would add Beauty and the Beast, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Les Miserables, Mamma Mia, Moulin Rouge, Phantom of the Opera, The Producers, and Rock of Ages.
Beauty and the Beast, Moulin Rouge, and arguably Cinderella aren't movie adaptations, they started out as movies before they went to the stage.
What about "Hair", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Tommy", or even "GodSpell" most of which were successful broadway hits and movies. They still reprise "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "GodSpell" regularly. I believe it was NBC just recently did a special broadcast of "Jesus Christ Superstar" within the past 2 years.
The 1973 film adaptation even had Yvonne Elliman and Barry Dennen reprise their roles as Mary Magdalene and Pontius Pilate respectively, which they originated in both the 1970 concept album and the 1971 Broadway musical. And Ted Neeley and the late Carl Anderson would reprise their roles as Jesus and Judas in other stage productions of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Many of my all time favourites included, like Hairspray, My Fair Lady, Grease, The Sound Of Music and West Side Story. Excellent stuff.
You almost gave me a heart attack. CATS!!!! 😹😹😹
I was sad last year when Christopher Plummer passed. I had a bit of a crush on him as Captain von Trappe. The scene when the Captain and Maria dance together is one of my favorites. FYI, if you are ever in Vermont, visit the Trappe Family Lodge. It's a beautiful inn nestled in the mountains. They took that "climb every mountain" bit literally 🙂 It's said they chose that location because it reminded them of the Austrian Alps.
Personally I think West Side Story should have been #1 but I like The Sound of Music too and the Cats joke was funny, I’ll let it slide 🤣
I also love West Side Story, but I couldn't put a musical at #1 where the female lead didn't do her own singing...
@@wanderer7956 Fair enough, Natalie Wood had nothing on Julie Andrews.
Both are spectacular in their own right…Robert Wise Double Gold. I’m curious to see what Spielberg has done with it.
One of my faves is Camelot, though I never saw the Broadway original; another is 1776
I love the movie”Camelot” 👑 Vanessa Redgrave is so Beautiful and is such a wonderful actress.
Great job....I had a feeling you were going to fake us out with Cats at #1 :P
A high school classmate was one of the choreographers for the DETENTION KIDS. Jamal Sims. He was in several scenes as well. He was in the scene with Queen Latifa when they marched to the TV station he is in the back behind Nikki Blonsky. He also did the choreography for the 2011 Footloose. Google him. He is Etiwanda High School alum. We are most proud of him.
I was shocked not seeing #2 at the top spot, but then I remember"Dah! There is no other movie that could be number #1" that's actually my all-time favorite :D PS. I loved the "Cats" joke
Glad to see that Les Mis didn't even get an honorable mention. Russell Crowe absolutely ruined Javert. A bit disappointed that Rent didn't at least get an honorable mention though. Sure, there's some important parts of the story that got cut from the stage performance, especially those involving Benny and Mimi's relationship, but you had multiple members of the original cast performing extraordinarily well and who didn't want to see Rosario Dawson as a stripper or be mooned by Idina Menzel? lol
Russell Crowe was the only sub-par performance in Les Mis and Jackman was Oscar Nominated. Hathaway won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress despite like 20 minutes of screen time she was so good. The film deserved AT LEAST an Honorable Mention.
THANK YOU. I thought the 2012 version of Les Mis was AWFUL Everyone seems to disagree with me, but I still think the singing was terrible.
THABK YOU!! About Les Mis….Russell Crowe’s Javert made my ears bleed and I’m sorry but there was way too much hype on Anne’s performance for under 20 minutes of screen time.
Rent deserved at least a mention, but honestly so did Les Mis. Cast mishaps or not, they all performed those songs live on set ; which a movie musical had never done before. They did it that way to provide raw/rough emotions to their songs. That was an amazing decision in my opinion.
"Russell Crowe absolutely ruined Javert". Yeah, well, sad but true.

YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! 👍
Personally, The Lion King better be on that list
@@asianpanda888 I was thinking non musical movies that got turned into musicals for the stage (see Matilda, Mean Girls, Waitress, etc) but if we are counting those I wholeheartedly agree.
I agree with #1, but so many were missed! Phantom, Les Mis, The Wiz, Annie, Mamma Mia, Rent, The Last Five Years, Evita, Gypsy, Godspell and Oklahoma would also be on my list. So many great ones you can't possibly get them all.
WOMAN, THAT HEART ATTACK YOU GAVE ME AT CATS...I was damn ready to slap you through cyber space!! 😂😂😂
There’s a reason Sound of Music remains the best musical adaptation on film of all time...ugh it’s just so good ❤️❤️❤️
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is only an honorable mention. WHAT?!?
What an EXCELLENT list!!!!! The sound of music was the very first movie I ever watched and to this day is still my favorite musical and favorite movie and favorite MOVIE musical of all time🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Chicago is one of my all time favorites.
And I know some people didn’t like it but I thought the adaptations of Phantom of the Opera and Into the Woods were actually really good. How is Mamma Mia not on here?
Truthfully I can think of at least 20 movie versions of Stage Musicals that could be on a list like this. Reading many of the titles lots of you have suggested, I can easily see the similarities, and even though they may not be on my top ten, I would still nod and go, I can see that. For example I may not put Les Miserables on my list (mostly for 1 or 2 casting choices), but I would definitely understand if someone else thought it should be in the top ten.
The only excuse you can possibly have for Les Mis not being here is Russel Crowes performance and even then, it isn't much of a take-back
I have never truly laughed at a top xx list before the #1 was first listed. Well played, Ms Mojo!
I am very happy you The Sound of Music as number 1 since it is one of my all time favourite musicals and movies. But I also think Oliver! deserved a spot. I wouldn't change anything about the musical but the movie made great changes to make it cinematic like moving the irrelevant act two opener to become the pre-climax number, making the song incredibly tense and desperate and is one of my favourite scenes in cinematic history. It would be my pick along with The Sound of Music. I also think Mamma Mia! should have been mentioned since it has become more well known than the stage show and is a wonderful adaptation, considering they cut it down to an hour and a half.
You had me going there for a moment @msmojo, cats???? sneaky sneaky lol
The Sound of Music was the first musical I remember seeing. My Grandmother adored Julie Andrews and this film was on heavy rotation in her house where I spent a lot of my childhood. Been over 30 years and this is still one of my go to comfort movies.
I think my favorite is Phantom of the Opera (it’s my favorite Broadway musical as well) followed by Les Mis and Sound of Music.
You really got me with that!
My kid thinks it's so funny for me to sing 'They Both Reached For The Gun'😂😂
I *love* "They Both Reached for the Gun"! That and "Cell Block Tango" are my faves.
I always considered Cabaret to be the best film adaptation of a musical, having also seen the original on Broadway. The film had the advantage of using incredible editing to interweave the fantasy of the emcee's songs with the real-life horror that was going on in the streets of Berlin. The effect was mind-blowing.
very very great epic list I like it a lot very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever number one is my very favorite movie of all time
R.I.P, Olivia Newton John. The one and only Sandy. So talented! 😢
No comments, a part that I couldn't agree with you more. Best choices ever, I really can't add anything to it :)
I was appalled when I saw that Chicago wasn't #1, until I saw the real #1, and then it made sense. The Sound of Music is friggin EPIC.
Chicago is my favorite musical.... But I also love the adaptation of La Cage aux Folles.... The Birdcage.... so many A list actors.... Gene Hackman was awesome!!!!
My top 10 would for sure include Fiddler, a movie that is as timeless as West Side Story (#1 on my list), but also the strangely forgotten Jesus Christ Superstar movie - Ted Neely as JC in Gethsemane....
I couldn't agree more.
Also the 1973 Jesus Christ Superstar adaptation is probably the best of the theatrical film adaptations of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals.
Love, love, love the thumbnail.
“Fare… well… mein Leibe Herr…”
My main qualm is that you gave Oliver! an honorable mention….I guess that could be because it’s a British film and not extremely well known to American audiences today (unless you’re a movie musical buff). Ron Moody, Oliver Reed, Jack Wild, and of course Shani Wallis (who is HANDS DOWN the best Nancy ever…just listen to her As Long As He Needs Me)….she WAS Nancy and didn’t even get recognized for it.
I love Grease so much, I remember all the songs like I’m so glad I watched it with my mom when I was 6!!! 8 years later, I’m still obsessed with the movie!
We did all the songs from Little Shop of Horrors in my high school choir. Brings back memories.
Even Mean Green Mother from Outer Space? (Even though that was written for the film)
@@hunterolaughlin I don't think we did that one. We did a selection of songs like "Somewhere That's Green," "Little Shop of Horrors," and "Sudenly Seymore." This was back in the '90s so things are a little fuzzy to recollect.
That’s okay. Like I stated, that song wasn’t in the original Off-Broadway musical. It was written for the film adaptation.
Also Audrey II wasn’t green in the original Off-Broadway musical. The puppet was yellow. You can see if you look at any color photos of the puppet used in the original musical.
Mamma mia could've at least been an honorable mention
My favorite musical movie adaptation is "Rock of Ages", because I love 80's music, and who knew Tom Cruise could sing?
I prefer the theatre version, but I absolutely loved the movie. I was so pleasantly surprised by Tom Cruise. I don´t consider him a good actor, but he absolutely smashed Stacee Jaxx!
Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis should have been included 😩
I agree - highly rude that they weren’t. I would put both over little shop of horrors and hairspray personally.
Les Mis is one of my favorite plays, but I hated the movie. ( This is just my opinion though🙂)
@@maureengallagher8076 yeah it wasn’t as good as the musical but it should’ve been mentioned since It won two oscars like come on😂
@@sarahreux I can see where you are coming from, but I do not agree.
@@maureengallagher8076 haha fair enough😂
Okay you got me at #1 lol. My heart sank.
One glaring omission... 1776. from stage to film it retained most of the B'way cast.
Another glaring commission...Jersey Boys, Rent
They did an amazing job with Jersey Boys keeping that structure you have in the stage version. And yes--1776 is woefully unappreciated. I love that musical.
Them retaining much of the OG 1776 cast was brilliant!! William Daniels as John Adams is amazing!!
LMAOOOOOO THE CATS SCARE WAS REAL
The Music Man and The Pajama Game (along with Damn Yankees and Gypsy) are the most faithful adaptations of their stage counterparts therefore making them some of the best of stage to screen transfers and should be on your list more so than a few that are listed
my 3 favourite movie musicals are actually all right next to each other on this list. grease, sweeney todd & little shop of horrors
Oliver! will forever be in my heart as the greatest British movie I've ever seen! and much better than Wishbone's adaptation of Oliver Twist when they leave all the good stuff out including Fagin and Bill Sykes!
Ew, bill. Just saying 🤷🏼♀️
Rocky Horror, Mary Poppins, Chicago & Sound of Music are all masterpieces. Note: the best thing about Sweeney Todd is Alan Rickman
I'd love to see a Music Man remake. I'd love to see it staring Hugh Jackman.
That would be amazing
Oh yeah I would love that - it would have to star either Hugh Jackman or Seth MacFarlane, cause Seth is incredible at singing You've Got Trouble
Pretty sure they did a remake with Matthew Brodrick as well
I mean, there's the remake with Matthew Broderick. I think it's available on UA-cam?
@@robertpehatcher968 yeah they did but that was a TV movie I think
Y’all almost had me throw my phone with that Cats twist. Then you corrected it! Bless
Great list - Let's BOW to Queen Latifah!!!!
AMAZING
How about these:
.Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)
.Joesph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999) (I know it's a direct-to-video movie but still)
.The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
.The Prom (2020) (hate Corden in a gay character all you want I think he did a decent job, but I really liked the storyline)
I have no problem with The Prom's storyline and didn't hate Corden, but the direction is terrible.
Lolol you got me! I was screaming CATS!?!? Lol. I would add to my list les miserables and gigi
Great list. I'd add Brigadoon to the honorable mentions.
Surprised Annie wasn't mentioned!
"Evita" deserved at least an honorable mention.
True
I know Hello Dolly and Calamity Jane aren't very popular, but I do like them so very much... Also, Rent, In the Heights, and Mama Mia should be here... And I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I loved the Phantom of the Opera movie...
I still think Marni Nixon should've received _some_ sort of award for "ghost-singing" for Deborah Kerr In The King and I," Natalie Wood in "West Side Story," and Audrey Hepburn in "My Fair Lady." (Too bad she couldn't have sung for Richard Beymer, too, but...)
Well they kind of gave her a belated thank you award in 2012 for "outstanding contributions to American music".
Beymer didn't sing his songs either.
@@fabianhebestreit3240 Right, it was James Howard Bryant's voice we heard. Disappointing, but the people in charge said neither his nor Wood's voice was good enough caliber to match the professionals in the troup. I still feel a little like I've been hoodwinked.
Mamma Mia should have a honorable mention. Yes, the singing is not the best but it is so good!
Fiddler deserved far more than a nod. 😭
You got me with Cats there....
Hair! Definitely Hair! The stage musical has the same plot ( with a few exceptions)but it's very avant garde, the film however just makes sense. Call me square but I'm not a fan of the avant garde or the ironically bad.
When you said Cats was #1 I was almost about to flip my lid lol
Maybe there hasn't been enough musical adaptations from Broadway to TV to rank them, but I'd love to see a video on some of the best musicals on TV (Broadway or not, live or not), like the 1999 Disney version of Annie (also directed by Rob Marshall!), or earlier live shows in the 50s and 60s, like Annie Get Your Gun or Cinderella, or Once Upon a Mattress.
A video about Rocky Horror would be great
The very first time I watched Chicago, literally as soon as I'd finished watching it I declared that it was and would be my favorite movie and I haven't watched a better movie since. It's not my favorite Musical movie that title goes to Mamma Mia but in the general and broad catagory of movies it is by far simply the best.
Such great energy!
