- Join us in this explore as we find some of the most historical artefacts we've EVER seen!
Built in the 1500's and surrounded by 22 acres of English countryside, this Huge stately building was home to Tudors, Tsars and even Winston Churchill!
As we explore the ancient property, we discover a set of original, Hans Holbein paintings.
He was a famous royal artist and was commissioned by Henry VIII to paint these gems.
Depicting himself, his daughter Elizabeth 1 and his father Henry VII.
These paintings are worth Millions and we did contact various Art galleries so hopefully they will be rescued, restored and loved again!

This was my grandfathers house. We live just next door. We are heartbroken at its disrepair, the man that’s bought it from the Latvians ( not Polish), has done nothing with it. In the cold snap we had all the pipes burst which is why there’s so much damp. It’s very upsetting to see how it’s been neglected. Please don’t reveal where it is as it would be awful if it got vandalised.
Hi, thank you for the comment, very sorry you feel like that.
It is a real shame how something so grand and historic can get to this state.
I have been very careful as to not reveal any info about the place in the video.
I hope you found our explore respectful, we hope it is rescued!
Such a shame
I feel so sad about this whole story.
Hi yes I thought you were all very respectful, thank you
can you uy it and restore it and get archaeological experts to get grants from govt to fully restore it is a historical treasure it breaks my heart to see Tudor era mansions ( maybe palace) treasures left to rot and not restored write to King Charles ask for his help to buy it back and fully restore it
National Trust and a huge team of volunteers needed to save this building. The fireplaces are absolutely stunning.
It is a disgrace this palace is not on a national historical register, restored and a museum!
@@1Mhoram9 Agreed 100%
They don't have the money. Itmcosts millions to do it, and millions to maintain it.
I almost cried when the camera focused on King Henry's painting since I'm a Tudor enthusiast... what a gem.. the artifacts should be in the museum already.
Thank you Alex, Ned, and that youngster Eddy, for saving this place on video. That place was huge, with so much history being just tossed off and forgotten. That's what some people want to happen. If you don't learn from the past you get to do it again. So much being left to waste.
Henry died before the 1600’s!! Most of his homes were destroyed and we know about all the others! Curtains in that home are NOT 16th century!!
We are experiencing the same in America tearing down historical statues changing names of military bases because some are offended
You are right if we do not learn from the past/history we are doomed to repeat it
@@maryloucoursen684 I know, I'm in the US, watching our past be destroyed, for the NWO way. And it's sickening to watch/
🙄
Shame seeing these old beautiful buildings being left to rot. Another great find guys 👍
It is Lee, at least we get to raise awareness in some cases!
Cheers for watching
@@VacantHaven is it on the market?
I hope some historic group takes this house on and restores it to it's original beauty and history. That's the trouble when these houses are brought by companies to turm into schools, hotels etc they ruin it.
It needs to be saved.
Well done guys. Let's hope someone/group see this and acquire it .
What a shame this place hasn't been restored by the National Trust. I think you'll find that the chapel at the end of the video was Latvian and not Polish. Thank you for taking us through such a gem.
It really angers me that these old historical buildings have had so many owners and that they are left in this state. When you own a home of any age you are the caretaker of that property and you should respect and care for it. I hope that if it is demolished the old old oak beams and paneling that aren't damaged by mould and fungi can be saved as well as the portraits and tiles etc. Fantastic video guys . Thank you.
like nannau hall near me owner just left it ti rot
Please-why hasn’t the National Trust become aware and involved?
I couldn’t finish watching it. It’s heartbreaking to people who aren’t in the family…..
People buy these old houses quite cheaply but they can't afford the upkeep afterwards so they just let them rot like nannau hall near me
It's absolutely criminal that this uniquely historic place has been dishonored and desicrated by careless owners and institutions!!!
It should have been a museum preserved with all of it's original furnishings and fixtures...where was the Historical Society when the place was ousted from the original inheritors???
Shame, shame, shame.
Would love to know more of the backstory, and only hope that it will indeed be finally taken in hand by the proper authority for restoration.
The detailed architectural elements (fireplaces especially), and the paintings (?) etc, are all worth millions literally...WTH???
Who owns this property in the present? Ghosts and the banks???
I would love to save this place, where is it???
They do it to destroy our history. They want no connection between what we've built and what they want for us. Can't make living in pods appealing unless they've removed our heritage and ability to afford property.
This was the most unbelievable.Things from late 1500's and just left behind. That's so much history. I love that era. Thanks for great video.
This Tudor building really had some great architecture inside. Awesome Explore Boys.
What a great explore, it was Latvians who lived there, i found some info on net from the memorial plaque it dates back to 1576 and a lot of very famous people lived there.
I don’t understand how such an important historical building could be neglected like that. If I were a rich person, I’d love to bring it back to life. I can almost picture a secret garden on that property.
I am with you & 💯 Agree.
Money..
Incredible exploration and a wonderful channel. I found you yesterday and have now seen you go into a bungalow bunker, a WWII machine gun nest, a hidden military base mine, and now this venerable old house - so full of decayed splendor.
I'm in Florida, USA (a decidedly less historic locale) and I can't say how much I appreciate this glimpse of your country's history. So glad I found your channel and love the respect you show for each place. Thank you!
P.S. I loved the comment about the Dalek plunger
The property has as much in common with the US as the UK check out Sir Curtis Miranda Lampson and his son might have been even able to save the Russian Tzars
Looking forward to this already, be careful lads don’t loose your heads.👌
If they were genuine Hans Holbein paintings they would worth millions. Probably prints or copies, no one would leave that type of art
Sadly, these things are likely to be genuine and just left to rot, like many other abandoned historical British buildings. They're mostly abandoned because of the cost of maintaining them. Is likely that all of the panelling and beams are genuine. All of the little rooms will have been built in for later accommodations. It's criminal how we neglect our history.
Also, the planner fireplaces will be genuine and of its time. The 'prettier ' ones are other additions.
Agreed. They aren't originals.
@@itsacarolbthing5221 They are not genuine paintings at all.
You have no way of knowing that. People find paintings often. Most wait for authentification. But it is possible. There were several VanGoghs paintings found in a chicken coop where some had been used to patch holes and they were originals by him, so you never know.
What a beautiful building,so sad its left to rot,yet another piece of our history that will disappear just like the rest..love how you guys show respect for these places
Its intentional
This place is so huge, big, and beautiful. Thank you guys so much for the video tour. I loved every minute you filmed. WOW, what a place. Everytime you looked out of a window, it was almost like viewing a neighborhood, and not the same house. This mansion is an architectural enigma.
Hello Alex and gang!! Wow, what an incredible place. There was some wonderful old portraits. Of King Henry VIII and the others. The one thing I did not like was the fact whoever bought this place cut the rooms up to make more rooms. It was such a shame that they did that. Plus, they should of never removed the cross and Jesus from the church. But other than that I think this was a great video. Thanks Alex! 😊❤
Better to remove it than have it desecrated.
Absolutely love your channel and the way you all totally respect the properties you find. Thank you for showing all these wonderful places. Best explorers on u tube.
Thank you, very kind!
Such a shame when they carve these beautiful houses up and so sad they are left to decay like this! An awesome explore as always xx
From reading into the history of this place, it closed in 2016 and was to be sold off, but looks like no buyer must have been found. From all the mould and decay in some areas of the building you would have thought it had been abandoned for much longer than 7 years. It is such a shame it is left like this, being such an old and beautiful building, and I hope it is not left to fester for much longer - being a listed building, it would cost a buyer a lot of money to renovate it the longer it is left abandoned. Would seem that the pictures of Henry Viii are indeed original and actually were owned by him, so yes, I'd imagine its not a great idea them being left there like that.
Absolutely fantastic.....such history ...and hopefully some of it will get saved and preserved....
Great explore yet again.....a great way to document historic sites ❤
I think tiles would possibly be by a famous designer maybe de Morgan. The national trust needs to save this and bring it back as a tourist attraction.
I love these videos! It's lovely to see a bit of history from across the pond!❤
If you are concerned about the damp and mould it would help if you closed windows after opening them. But you opened a window to look at the deer outside and left it open.
Omg this place!! You have to go back to see upstairs we need to see what's up there 👻 I'm intrigued thanks for the awesome content Vacanthaven 😎👍
Can just imagine how splendid this house must of looked in its day. I hope those paintings can be saved and preserved as well as the fire grates and surrounds. Thanks Alex Ned and Eddie Mercury brilliant explore as usual xxx
What a beautiful home
My goodness 😳😍
Tku for sharing this
This is going to be epic!
What a great find, and yet another beautiful place those painting ! It's such a shame a house that has survived so long is now left to Rot, it really upsets me, we should be taking care of such history! I really enjoy the places you find and thank you all, I think the age of it has its ghosts. Once again thank you and all take car.
Cannot beat you three together, love Neds motto at the beginning 😂 amazing, yet another fantastic explore ❤
Cheers Victoria 😁👍👍
It’s hard to believe someone w/ the wealth to restore this place didn’t snap it up before the rot set in, I hope someone can save the paintings & the fireplace accoutrements, so beautifully done. Thank you for sharing this find w/ us.
I THINK THE IDIOTS LEFT THE WINDOW OPEN FOR THE RAIN AND BIRDS TO FLY IN. THESE PEOPLE DONT GET PERMISSION TO BREAK INTO PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING MONEY ON YOU TUBE, THEN DO FURTHER DAMAGE. MY THOUGHTS.
This was the first video I saw that yall did and now I'm hooked. I admire the respect you show to the properties you explore. You have proven that people can admire the beauty of the past without ill-intent. Please be careful if you get injured in one of those houses, but please keep the awesome videos coming......
Guys please invest in some hepa masks. It only takes a couple of spores to settle in your lungs. My dad worked on roofing spent his last days gasping for breath. His consultant said his contined exposure to mould caused his lung condition.
Absolutely beautiful mansion house
U never disappoint.. my favourite explores ❤
If it hasn't happened already, surely someone will step in and do the right thing for this historic property.
To simply allow it to crumble into nothing is wrong on every level imaginable. Thank you for bringing this to us. Please, if possible, return for a more extended exploration, and maybe see what chambers those old keys can reveal.
I cant understand how people can just walk away from these beautiful estates.
It never sesess to astonis me the amount of historical properties that are left to decay. But when you have one like this that has clear links to our Royal history then it should be saved. Even if to save money they take down the new parts of the property. And those paintings definitely need to be saved it's criminal to leave them. Thanks for your never ending finds both big and small. Stay safe guys. ❤
Phew, you had me worried this morning Alex, I looked to see if there was a new video and there wasn’t 😱 I obviously looked to soon, I’m happy now, thankyou 👍🤭💕🐾
Haha be patient 🤣👍
Hi new to your channel and watching all your older videos, loving them getting addicted 😂 x
Thanks for checking out the channel, and really glad you enjoy the vids so far! 😁👍
Great way to end my busy weekend. If there is any one not subscribed to this channel please do so you won't be disapointed
Thank you very much Katherine
Absolutely spectacular! I wish you could’ve stayed longer; I’m such a history buff, especially regarding King HenryVIII as my last name is Tudor (I’m adopted so that is my biological name). Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us❤
Excellent explore as always ❤
What an amazing house
Lovely wall panels
And paintings
Pretty cool fire place 😮😊
That place is huge, can't wait to see inside
It was beautiful....and possibly haunted.......
Loved the video!
That place was soo haunted!
Great Video Thank you for touring around this magnificent large home with all its antiquities hopefully saved.
Amazing!
I hope this is rescued or restored! ❤
Hi Alex, Im still binge watching all your old vids, the way you guys have grown in such a short space of time is great too see x
Thanks Christina, I hope to think we have 😁👍
You definitely have, up at the top with the best 👌
Eddie hasn't grown up yet🤣
This would make a brilliant artists’ colony!
Brilliant..such a flipping shame these buildings are just left to decay..
Such an old treasure - should be restored!!
Beautiful old building, I love these places the best, what alot of history!
There was a spirit following you guys about halfway in 😮
Thanks Lads A Brilliant Video Well Made From Blue
Admiring the wildlife out of an open window then pushing it open wider for a better look & leaving the window wide open will obviously help keep the elements out & stop the dampness setting in 😢
Great explore guys, one of the best. Awesome paintings . It would have been so cool to see inside of that old safe room! Old buildings like this do wonders for the imagination. Keep up the good work 👍
I am a new fan, and I love how respectful you are.
That was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much.
Thank you for another beautiful place. My grandson watches with me now 😊
What an awesome find!❤ Thank you for all the wonderful footage!
The place is huge! I love the fireplaces. I do believe the deer are protecting you gentlemen. The paintongs were amazing!!
I heard sounds as well throughout your walk through. I believe with the age of this property-there IS quite a bit of history & mystery. Please be safe on your adventures and carry masks to protect you from that black mold.
And oh yes! Those Funnel Spiders...😳
Yes you can clearly hear " Hi” @3:17😊 spirit is active here.
I remember as a child exploring an old house. Nothing like this grand place, but the thrill and excitement of discovering the place let my imagination run away with itself. I wish I could do what these adventurous souls are doing.
What a glorious building. Even with those spiders. Can you imagine just how it would have look back in its heyday!! Wonderful, spectacular, and beautiful place. Thanks for that Alex. How are you going to top that? Huh?
Massive thanks guys, this is one of my fab explorrs...bet my bottom dollar, if you rooted around in some of the weird little wardrobes...you'd find a serious treasure that's long been forgotten!!!!
Great and interesting content. I enjoyed watching it and loved it. Thank you Alex. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
My Sunday evening routine is now pouring a beer and sitting down to watch your latest explore. Alex, Ned and Ed just the right number of explorers and love the humour. This one could have easily been 2hrs long. Just the old timber structure alone was really interesting and the Latvian connection also. (That was a picture of Riga Opera House on the mantlepiece). Thanks for another great one. Never stop!
Lovely found gems spots!!!
Lads this must be one of your best finds, well done for not showing the location. Just a shame what's happening to the place. Brilliant.
Wow what a amazing place so old beautiful painting
Great video Alex loved this , beautiful property, and great crew Neddie and Eddie brilliant mate thanks for sharing i❤
Amazing video!! What a beautiful place. That last painting, I believe is Henry VII.
Wow! It's devastating these historical old homes are going into decay. I'm really interested because I'm an ABERCROMBIE. Some old bloke trued to pick me up as a young school child in 1971. That plague, on the leadlight window 1771. I wonder what and whom it stands for. Thanks for the Video. Great viewing.
Love you guys really enjoy watching your antics keep it up guys 😂
I love all the old woodwork in there 😊
What a freaking place !!!!! Wow that must have been amazing being there in person. Absolutely love the channel and thankful to have stumbled onto it. Some brilliant places you guys get to visit/document and the crew you have put together provide some great commentary. Keep up the great work gentlemen!!!!
It'd be fabulous if there's an update on the paintings. It's sad so much of the beautiful woodwork and mantels are rotting.
I live in Ontario canada and I've still got a copy of that Readers Digest Atlas that you showed us. I inherited it as one of the many books from my father's estate when he passed away.
Another fantastic gind guys loving the videos keep them coming 👍 such a great find.
G'day from Adelaide South Australia
Who said, 'Queen Victoria'? 😆What an amazing place, but alas I fear it's far to big to restore and there's a lot of mould and decay. I only hope that those wonderful fireplaces will be saved.
Fantastic paintings, and building. Why were the paintings left there? They must be worth a small fortune as well as the historical value.
If they were really valuable, they wouldn't have just been left there. Probably copies of the originals.
Love history and historical places
Beautiful wood and fireplaces. To bad they did crappy modifications. That mold is taking over the place. Thanks for the explore .
What a shame !!!!!! that place has so much history and its being left to rot . The paintings are not able to replace , when they are gone , that's the end . Thank you guys for letting get an eyeful of what is probably happening to old buildings all over England . Please take care , be cautious , and good luck on your future explores . Stuart in Canada ..
Absolutely love all your videos and the respect you show to all the properties and tunnels, bunkers. Adams fireplace?
Thankyou guys for showing it it history .
That was epic. Loved it. Wish I could have been there. Absolutely love historic buildings. Shame it is rotting. You guys crack me up.
The big old room at around 32.20 is downstairs. If Henry VIII had visited and stayed there, that room would have been added on for him as the bed he toured with was far too large heavy to set up in any upstairs room. I was hoping to see a room like that!
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦 Great video ❣️ Thanks for sharing
Thankyou for sharing.
What a beautiful place!!
What a great find lads just fond this channel can't weight to explore the rest 😁
Hauntingly fascinating!
Really enjoyed that one guys love watching I'm in Scotland so we don't have anything like this here the three of you were on form tonight, Alex every time to see a ladder you have to climb it , see you next week hope it's a good one 😂😅
There’s plenty in Scotland , plenty cv sorted that out .
Cracking old place
Hit the like all
Super historic place! Must have been a school of sorts or an academy!!
Interesting … enjoyed it !
Thanks ❣️
❤😊
i always seem to enjoy your videos and its never something id thought id be into , it must be hard to leave the items behind sometimes but i also appreciate why you do.
Existing history of this place nice one Alex 👍.
