A Border Collie is the dog I want to have as my fur child. 🙏🏾❤ They are so beautiful, intelligent, loving, loyal, and family-oriented. Great breed of dogs. ❤
My border collie herded the neighbors from their driveway into their garage. I dislike my neighbors, so I gave my border collie a big treat afterwards.
I reckon the Aussie Kelpie is the best farm dog in the world - think of a Border Collie that's tough as nails, that's the Kelpie. Anything crossed with a Kelpie is your right hand. They are legendary farm dogs in Australia - for legitimate reasons, there's many a song, poem and even movies about them. They're a farmers best friend down-under, from rounding up cattle, sheep, chooks and ya kids, then protecting all from foxes, dingoes, snakes and even thieves. At the end of the day, they are your best friend and work mate.
Border Collies are ideal for working sheep and goats, using them on cattle is harder work for them, they'll do whatever is asked of them but use more dogs and retire them earlier if they have to be used for cattle. Plus, the Summer in that country would be too hot for them. The best breed of working dogs for cattle in these conditions that I know of would be the Australian Cattle Dog (i.e. the Red or Blue Heeler) and is one of the toughest and hardest working dog breeds there is. Don't get me wrong, Border Collies are my favourite working dog and I just want the best lives for them all.
My BC Tess Siobhan not only let me know when my glucose was too high or too low, but also taught my next BC puppy, Gypsy Rose Lee, how to take over before she died at 16 yrs. Her son, JackBNimble heard someone outside his family's gate before they did.
My Tess Siobhan'z relatives knew how to herd cattle. Andy, Sam, DeeDee, and DJ Paleface gave me a demonstration in North Ga.with her previous owner. Dr. Lewellyn, a retired vet.
My BC JackBNimble and his buddy Buster-who belonged to a neighbour of my brother-were actually the same size and build. The females of both breeds were smaller than the males.
My border collie will herd anything, kids, ducks, chickens, cats and me.
Ok
This reminds me of a joke. Why are cats smarter than dogs? because you ll never convince a bunch of cats to pull a big sled in the snow.

I've had 2 border collies. Sometimes I'd catch them looking at me like they knew they were smarter than me. Probably right.
😂❤
How many BCs are smarter than their owners? All of them!
My border collie herded any male that entered my house that wasn't pack. 😂🤣
Beautiful creatures....
WONDERFUL.
It's official: this border collie has more IQ than Maria from 'curb your intelligence' video.
Yet he is so humble.
My border collie is super smart and same will heard pretty much anything
I bet he knows how to spell 'herd' right too!
MORE DOGS. 🌎 LOVES THEM.

Look into McNabs. Bred specifically for cattle herding in the US.
Appreciate this sharing! Borders are my most favorites for herding!
We have a Queen'sland heeler she does the same thing

I got an Aussie because it's a little bigger and we have coyotes packs here.

I have a weird feeling that this narrator’s ancestors were not in Utah 10,000 years ago…
❤‼️
Main question. Is Utah really? Cowboy? Country?
Yes. I live in Utah. There are a helluva lot of cattle here.
