    I want to give an aloe testimonial. My mom was taking a turkey out of the oven and splashed the hot juices from the pan onto her arms and a little on her chest. Someone is saying get the butter, I'm yelling noooo, run under cool water.....and I can't remember who grabbed the aloe vera plant and started breaking it up, we squeesed every drop from that plant after she ran the juices off with cool running water. She continued patting the aloe into her skin until bed along with motrin and cool compresses. Next morning she had zero evidence of any burn except about a dime sized spot on her neck, which was treated with aloe and also disappeared. I'm a 100% believer, and encourage everyone to keep a real aloe plant in your kitchen! The one that day was relatively small and didn't survive the holidays, but it was well worth whatever it cost!

      Yes, aloe is great for burns! I keep a plant specifically for the skin injuries.

      Omg I had the same experience i splashed the hot drippings from the turkey on my hand and I did the same thing with the aloe plant and there literally was nothing on my hand. I was amazed and so happy. The drippings were about 400 degrees

    Great info. I personally use skinmedica eye cream, Retin A at night, skinceuticals CE ferulic acid in the am + moisturizer and tinted sunscreen. The products might sound expensive but retin-a can last you 6 months, ferulic acid ~4, eye cream 5-6 maybe months. There is only so much topical treatments can do.

    It took me so long to realize that the sun actually makes my acne worse. Mineral sunscreen is the number one best thing I have done for my previously oily acne prone skin. And definitely much better for dark spots than unprotected sun exposure.

    • @somethingkindawonderful3034
      @somethingkindawonderful3034 Рік тому +3

      What sunscreen do you like / use for your acne prone skin

    • @whoah567
      @whoah567 Рік тому

      @@somethingkindawonderful3034 typically anything with zinc oxide. The zinc oxide itself actually helps oily skin because it is slightly drying and seems to absorb any extra oil. So far the pipette, meow meow tweet, attitude, and arbonne ones are relatively easy to blend. The arbonne one feels really nice but kinda expensive. Cerave also feels nice on the skin but takes a while to blend. And then australian gold is great for a tinted sunscreen but hard to get a hold of sometimes. Bunch more that I have not tried though.

      If you're willing to purchase online from overseas then I highly suggest the Rovectin mineral sunscreen. It's amazing and has the most minimal white cast I've experienced, but can't speak to darker skin tones (I'm light tan with olive undertones). Doesn't sting at all, not drying, and has a reasonable price.

    INGROWN HAIRS- anyone who is struggling with them here is something that literally saved me- IPL Phillips Lumea- so much cheaper than laser removal but if you use it consistently it will do wonders. I saw first changes after a month or month and a half...I have used it for a longer time and now I almost have no hair and no ingrown hairs anywhere...hair that did come back are so soft and almost invisible.
    The only downside is if you have light hair (especially red) or dark skin it will not work good or almost at all

Just bc a ingredients is good for most people dies not mean YOUR skin will like it (vit C as a dedicated serum is a no for me) .. higher % is NOT better (my niacinamide works at 5% or less my retinol 0.1%) give it time to work you I give any products 6 weeks unless I see it causing me a issue. That is all ty CONGRATULATIONS for reading this far for your time invested you have won this picture of a 🍰

    Glycolic Acid & Retinoid/Retinol
    I use theOrdinary Glycolic Acid Toner every night, and use Retinoid 2% in Emulsion (rotation).
    I think the toner is mild enough to use everyday. The Retinoid paired with Hyaluronic Acid (I use Rudha Beauty) makes my skin soft and plump in the morning. My Holy Grails. I have recently purchased Skin1004 Centella Toner and Hyaluronic Acid. I hope it’s not all hype.

Please tell me what your thoughts are thank you, Teresa Charlotte Pharmacy.

      I used bio oil for months and didn’t notice a difference other than it being a good moisturizer. Albeit I’ve never had spots on my skin. I was just using it as an anti-aging topical to give my skin a break from Tretinoin. I really did not enjoy the greasy feeling from the bio oil that would last for hours. Not worth it in my opinion!

    I didn’t realize that you shouldn’t use glycolic acid and Tretinoin. I use a gentle La Roche Posay cleanser at night with the tretinoin, but I’ve been using L’Oréal glycolic acid cleanser in the morning, before either my vitamin c, or my prescription hydroquinone-combo product. What cleanser would you recommend instead for my morning routine?
    And THANK YOU for all of your continued knowledge you share, thank you 🙏🏻

    • @Kitkat_foodie
      @Kitkat_foodie Рік тому

      You could prob keep using the glycolic acid cleanser in the morning….I don’t think it would be suggested to use it at night WITH the tretinoin. If your using it at different times in your routine (which it sounds like you are) I think you should be fine. Especially since it’s a cleanser your using vs a leave on product. If your skin seems to handle your routine well, and you don’t get increased irritation from glycolic and vitamin c together you could prob just stick to it. Everyone is different though, just trying to offer my suggestion!

    I hope it’s not too late and you’re still looking at your comments I have a question for you. So I wear right now the 40 SPF but when I go on vacation I’m constantly reapplying and then eventually island it going to like spraying my face just trying to keep an eye on all the time. Which helps but it still creeps through what would be the best laser treatment for me to get rid of this, I think I’ve got my SPF routine down where it doesn’t get worse so I’m ready to remove it and know how to keep it gone It’s just every Clinic tells me to use a different machine so I’d love your advice on which one you think I should go with? I hope you get this I love your videos by the way they’re amazing

    I wasn't able to catch this live but I'm very curious about a video regarding fraxel laser/Morpheus8. I had fraxel twice in spring and I just read that some people report delayed skin laxity due to facial fat loss. Of course I'm now freaking out and convinced this has happened to me! What's the possibility this can happen with fraxel? I can't find a true answer online and don't know if the laser reaches deep enough for that anyway.

    Thoughts on petroleum based products in skin care and lanolin, I was told years ago that of you react to wool fabric you shouldn't use moisturizer with lanolin, petroleum in moisturizer isn't good for your skin because it may clog pores.

    What are your thoughts on Timeless skin care products? They have a vitamin C serum among other serums that I find to be effective.

    I live to take care of my skin and use different products but what I noticed is that the less I do the better is my skin. If I start to use more than 2 products on my skin (serum and creme) I get this comedonal acne

    Are all in one products as good as layering products individually? I’m thinking products like Olay 7 in 1 etc.

    UV light is antimicrobial so it harm bacteria that cause acne. Unfortunately it also harms DNA in skin cells too and will cause a weird uneven tan and skin discoloration. Radiation is not the best treatment for acna.

      You could consider blue light therapy for acne. I use red light therapy almost every morning and it’s changed my skin for the better.

    I can’t use sunscreen. I get these age type brown spots, otherwise I have almost glass skin. I believe it’s the zinc oxide that bothers my skin.

    What about your diet for acne, wrinkles and lines, anti aging and the like. I know hydration is vital to my skin but don't you agree to drink plenty of water.
