- In this particular video I try to find some inspiration to help with my remodel, so I go and check out a newer Super C Motorhome to give myself some options.
Welcome to my channel PandaMonium. My name is Ausia and my dog's name is Moo-moo... my rig is the Lucky Panda, a 28ft 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun towing a 2008 Chevy Colorado or sometimes a trailer and 2014 Can-Am Maverick 4 wheeler. I live full-time in a motorhome off the grid with 700ah of Battle Born lithium batteries and 950 watts of solar. My channel is about living and traveling in my RV to different locations across the U.S. with various friends that I call my tribe, where we camp, hike, bike, paddle board, 4 wheel, go to events and venues, eat at different restaurants and explore new places. Certain times of the year I'm at my homestead in Williams the high desert of Northern Arizona where we are working on projects, homesteading, gardening and try to practice permaculture and being off grid & self-reliant. Just wanting to be honest & open I am transgender and part of the LGBT community. I welcome anybody with an open mind and heart.

I think light painted cabinets will really brighten up your RV's interior. Sometimes all that wood can be very depressing.
But it's good at disguising marks, dirt.
I like painted cabinets more. Seems lighter inside.
I don't like the cooking location , to cramped.
Shocked it had 2 bathrooms. Diesel is so expensive!
Also the driving seats feel to close to the windshield. Small area. You ask for it.

Wood is always seen in RVs but the painted cabinets look and feel fresher to me. Also gives the space a feeling of having more room as well.
Thor bought Jayco in 2016. When I see Thor, I see Jayco. Through the pandemic, the RV’s/trailers were flying out the door so they did double time it appears to get them out. Many issues with quality at that time and people are not happy. To me and the conditions that I live in plus my budget, bigger means more money to heat, cool and maintain plus more difficult to travel with unless it is more of a park it type situation. More bells and whistles means more money plus finding services to fix means open the wallet.
Really like painted white cabinets. It makes any home timeless.

I love the painted cabinets. It lightens the interior. I painted the cabinets in my RV. I also just painted the exterior of my RV which was a fun renovation project. I just had to get rid of the old decals.

Do like the painted cabinets. It makes everything look lighter and brighter.
I took out half my dinette and replaced it with two dining chairs. I also cut down the table a couple of inches. Now I can access the kitchen with the slide closed and the table is still plenty large enough. I did lose a little storage but gained a lot of room to move around and I can move the dining chairs anywhere too, even outside.
I love painted cabinets! It can make a home so homey looking. You do have a knack for decorating.

I ripped out the dinette and sofa to have room for 4 large dog crates and my cat up top over thecab. Whitewashed the cabinets and put the tongue and groove cedar plants you buy in a pkg at home depot. It looked sooooo cute!
Painted, so tired of wood look, I painted my cupboards and cabinets white, really brightened the rig up. ☮️
Just remember, Ausia lives in it. Nobody else.
I used to work at a Ford Fleet Center and that F600 6.7 is a beast. Those 19.5 tires are kind of pricey when it's time to replace them. I like the painted cabinets and the dry bath.
The built in induction cook top is a plus. Save on your propane when you have electric hookup.

I have an idea that I like if I'm going to be painting cabinets I want to paint one or two with chalkboard paint so I have a place to jot down things that you need to remember black groceries. Take a picture of it before you go into the store

I wouldn't trade. You're right, your rig is BEAUTIFUL! doesn't hurt to dream. Upgrades would be fun! fresh change on cabinets etc.

I love super C's as well, I like the lighter painted cabinets, I dont think you need two bathrooms. J dont need a king size bed so I would want a queen size.
Convection microwave is an oven. @ diesel spouts because you can fill from either side and you usually have to loosen one side while you fill the other side.
the omni and magnitude actually have two tanks so you have greater capacity because the generator is a diesel genset as well.
My 2 cents worth lol -
I like the lighter cabinets. Problem is when most people paint them they do it cheaply and they look horrible after very little use.
The tv in the bunk would be a pain to watch even when rotated out.
Those couches as a recliner don’t support your head. So your head would flop back lol.
The 1/2 bath I’d turn into laundry and closet or something. I get it’s there because with the bedroom slide in you’d have to crawl over the bed.
My 30+ yr old oven at home has a mind of its own. But I love the stove top. It’s on of the first glass tops. So I have the ninja 10 in 1 and like you I love it. I bake in it. Air fry. Toast. Haven’t tried the dehydrator yet. Best purchase award!

From what I’ve heard there’s lots of problems in the Thor world and others. You have a good reliable unit. Enjoy it while some crap is being worked out in the industry.

Hi Ausia, In MHO, The best way to give a great facelift, would be to paint ALL wood White and maybe some light and dark grey paint to accent, would really open up your RV and create a more spacious appearance. Your friend, Louise

We painted our cabinets in our Thor Four Winds Class C. We really like that. Makes it seem more homey, to us at least.

The only thing that I don’t like is the bathroom being separated because it takes up space by having 2 separate bathrooms. I like when the cabinets are painted white in an RV because it makes it look brighter. You can paint all your upper cabinets white and your lower cabinets where your sink is at black. You can keep the Panda look inside of your RV 🐼.

I like painted cabinets. I think they really brighten up an rv. The inside was pretty and had plenty of storage. I don't like the dinette either. It takes up alot of space. Two bathroom rigs seem to be a thing now. I suppose if a couple or family are living in it, it would be a nice thing to have. I was really surprised at the lack of under storage on the Super C. There is not much space for bigger items like bikes or even chairs.
I agree that painted cabinets can brighten up your entire space. BTW, I like your hair parted off to the side, too!
We love our Super C . We looked at one like you showed. It was nice. What you just showed us is nice too. We have a Jayco Seneca. 39 feet long plus our Jeep that we tow 4 wheels down. I do like the wood.

I like the painted cabinets. Like you said "how many bathrooms does an RV need" . If there are a lot of people traveling in the RV it makes sense. One thing I noticed when you were opening the double door cabinets is that they seemed to be sticking or not closing at all. That might be an issue if there is moisture that would make them swell.

That looks like a deluxe RV. The microwave may also be a convection oven. I had one when I lived on an apartment.

I discontinued using propane because I o longer have the ability to lift the tanks when full. I bought a double induction stove top, and it fits perfectly on top of the gas burner metal top. I put a large dish drying mat as a cover to protect it when not in use. I have my single serving k-cup coffee maker and a small electric can opener on top of the mat that I have to remove. I actually use the coffee maker and can opener more than the cook top since I microwave over stove top or use my Ninja 5-in-1 airfryer, grill, bake, broil, and dehydrator. I'm renting a spot with water and power less than 3 miles from a town so no restriction in power use. I decided this is the safer decision due to my mobility disability. I love watching your camping adventures but really enjoy your time on your property when your friends are visiting. siting

I painted my wooden cabinets in my kitchen white. Now, wiping them down is a chore. My mom re-stained hers a pretty mahogany and changed out the hardware from silver to black. They look awesome! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! Thanks for the video.

yeah it is interesting that most who paint do white when there are many colors that are light but would not look dirty so quickly

Painted cabinets are nice, wooden ones in RV's are very dated. Convection microwaves are similar to an Air fryer, they cook using hot air also, but are multi functional.

Lots of newer rigs don't have ovens because the convection oven/microwave cover for that. I like the painted cabinets AND the neice two seater couch!
your rig is so nice. if you want a brighter look, paint the cabinets - or maybe just paint the top cabinets and leave the bottoms wood - see how that looks (have seen it done in houses but not an RV). good luck with whatever you decide

Perhaps the extra gas was for the generator. Slide out are nice until the mortars go out as seen that happen. The extra half bath is so if someone stays over night they have a place to go. The less potential maintenance is the only way to go as less expensive. In painting the cabinets is would need to match up with the walls and décor. Something to think about. Also you have to think about parking in an RV Park as well as towing. Plus you need to think of resale value if you might want to sell what you have at one point. Enjoyed and Hugs to Moo moo.
CABINETS -- Natural wood is nice when it is fresh, but after a couple years it yellows and gets ugly.
So get the wood cabinets and enjoy the wood until it changes, then you can paint it any color you wish.
That Super C had nice cabinets, and I liked the neutral color..
I painted my cabinets with chalk paint and then Mod Podged over that. They are a light brown and a nice green.
You get better MPG with diesel so it really works out the same, along with more power.
That looked like a very comfortable unit, but probably very expensive to maintain. However, there were some good ideas in it to work with. Hey, Moo Moo.

I liked the painted cabinets.
It is really BOSS, n that 4 wd is ALLLL THAT. BUT your rig is unique. ThAt new one though WOULD complete you. Yes gas is more but ull get better mpg and it's aero dynamic. It is on an awesome FORD CHASIS. THIS is who you are. It's your home,office ,and YOUR SHOW.. IT WOULD BE AMAZING to be in that SUPER C. obviously you knew which one you been THINKING on. Yes grrrrl... GO FOR IT! YOUR SHOW is awesome. Your awesome!! YES TO PAINTED cabinets..
I love wood, however in such a small space in RV's I would prefer the white or very light grey. Since you will be building a custom desk/and entertainment center, couldn't you turn the batteries horizontal along the outside wall taking up less entry and walking space. The desk could be a pull out when needed, and the tv would go on top.
I like both-depends on the other decor I guess. I do love a bright kitchen though. Oh gosh idk-😂😂❤
If you paint the cabinets, get a paint that is easy to clean so that you don't have to keep painting.
Hi Ausia, I like the painted cabinets also, looks cleaner and bright. But the cost of this super c is ridiculous and operating costs, one could be in a much bigger Coach. But you are the one that has to be happy with it. What fit your needs and lifestyle. I also like looking at different styles and brands and compare to what I have . Good luck, thanks for sharing.

I prefer the painted cupboards,you can add some color to your life.
They vent cupboards where there is a washer/dryer hookup inside. Usually when there is no oven, its a combo microwave/convection oven. Some are adding a combo including an airfryer.
