Dressed in red coat, gold trim and the coolest hat, at least on the bottle.
Got a little Captain in you?
Captain Morgan really sounded like a badass! No wonder I love the rum that they made with his image.
The Old Smuggler
Huh and this is what Babylon teach the youth. No wonder violence is shown in movies and portrayed then people wonder why there's shootings ? I really enjoy listening Peter Tosh's song You Can't Blame The Youth- Babylon Queendom. Which goes like *"Teach the youth about Christopher Columbus and you said he was a very great man!/ Teach the youth about Marco Polo and you said he was a very great man!/ Teach the youth about the Pirates Hawkins and you said he was a very great man!/ Teach the youth about the Pirates Morgan and you said he was a very great man/ But all these men were doing were; robbing, raping, kidnapping and killing/ Babylon your Queendom has fallen!"*
I never actually knew who the Pirates Hawkins and Morgan were until now and now I know they were
@@jessevernmckendry4339 Lool real talk I came here cause i just heard the song on the joint on my way to the laundromat.
We're living in the twilight zone
@@jessevernmckendry4339 Columbus didn’t actually do that, it was proven to be anti-Catholic/Anti-Spanish propaganda made up by the English.
@@MichaelLannamann Columbus didn't go around pillaging ? The Moral is that all so called great men of history such as kings, princes, generals all the great men are were actually tyrants when to the contrary they are taught by this World to be good and noble when in fact not.
Oh, a Welshman fighting for the glory of England. Alot of England's history is built off the back of the Welsh. Inigo Jones, John Nash, John Dee, John Graham Chambers, Nye Bevan etc.
Inigo Jones, John Nash and John Dee were all born in London, so they were English and not Welsh.
Morgan totally destroyed the city of Panama to the degree they had to rebuild it a few kilometers away. These days Panamanian mothers still scare their children of Morgan the pirate. True story.
God bless the Caribbean God bless South America God bless Central America
@@thejuice3819 God bless Corona, the angel of redemption.
I live about 500 yards from one of Morgan House, I use to walk passed it twice a day while walking to school.
The House is Called the Llanrumney Hall, its in a Suburb of Cardiff called Llanrumney.
Captain Morgan we a cousin of a noble family and landowners, that lived in South Wales Gwent. His cousins family lived in Tredegar House that's in Newport today that's under the clear of The National Trust. The house is open to the public to visit.
we been doing a family tree and found out morgan and james monroe is in our bloodline i thought that was pretty cool
Another well rounded vid, I was aware of Captain Morgan but I was unaware that he was Welsh but then again I should have realised that with a surname like Morgan 😂😂
Thanks man :)
The Legends of History
I'm Welsh & should have known with that surname that he was as well 😂😂
8:55 "Released balls onto the battlefield"?
Oh. Bulls.
I grew up down the road from his Mansion (Now a pub...) in Llanrumney
Good video very interesting!
Can you do a bio video of Roberto Cofresí the Puerto Rican pirate?
Great choice in rum my good sir 😎👍
Captain my captain
Got a little Captain in you?
Finding out he’s my 10th great grandfather
Love the history! My favorite part? My current rum! All hail the Captain!
Fuck that piece of shit. God bless Jamaica
His looks remind me of Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
FattyWantsACookie Something tells me that wasn’t by accident.
Perhaps Captain Hook was based off of him.
It be awesome to see who would be more cunning, Ruari the Turbulent or Captain Morgan if they're put to a test in piracy.
Definitely beating the armada with fire ships. I’m surprised I’ve never heard of him considering how famous drake was.
Fun fact; my friend / farther figure there great great great great great great great great great grandpa it’s very cool he apparently married his cousin and was a pirate first brought land and became governor of Jamaica
What most people don’t know is that his 3x great nephews were General Daniel Morgan and Daniel Boone.
What a villian
tough dude
Port Royal seems like a fun place.
Don't worry, most of it's at the bottom of the ocean, now
He was a step family member to the knight at Agincourt 1415 He was his stepfather I believe. Davy Gamy was my 11th GGF.
Loving the frying pan on the head lol
What sources do you use for your pirate videos I'd like to make some videos of my own.
I'm a descendant of Sir Henry Morgan and, although I feel a lot of his tactics were out right dirty... He was a genius tactician ahaha

I’m a descendant of him too.. discovered he comes in my great grandmothers side
@@emperorfulgidus262 He comes from my Nans side too!
Sir Henry Morgan is my 7th great great grandfather on my dad's side of the family we found that out from family genealogy research.
That's awesome! My grandmother side of the family are Morgans I've been trying to get back that far.. I was told by my late grt uncle that Henry Morgan was our ancestor but I've never made the connection
I am also related to Henry Morgan on my moms side
Mark Lyon he must have been slinging because I’m in the same boat
Awesome! My Great Grandmother though the genealogy paper that proved my Great Grandfather was related to a "pirate" into the fireplace. He was a genius at war and becoming Wealthy and Powerful doing so. Welsh Warrior King.

Due to poor planning (by Capt. Morgan) the rogues that marched through the swamps in Panama didn't have enough food. They were very hungry when they came out of the jungle to face the Spaniards. Imagine to their relief the image of hundreds of steaks on the hoof headed their way courtesy of Panama's Mayor. Needless to say, yes there were plenty of cattle hurt and eaten during this scene. Way to go Capt. Morgan.
This is very interesting... Thanks for sharing...#bravery is born from God #Sirhenerymorgan #legendary
This is one of my relatives :))
Can you do Henry Every the mastermind of the Gunsway Heist?
Will get around to it 😉
It seems like he was a pirate with permission to plunder, but he was suppose to be a privateer.
Ah my 11th Great Grand Uncle
And even after death has amass a fortune in rum 👍👍
Got a little Captain in you?
5:55 isn't that assassin's creed?
Says he'll be back in a year for his pistol.
Actually comes back.
Still victorious.
Sir Henry had bollocks so titanic, we had to wait centuries for Einstein to come along and explain the Sir Henry Bollock - Universe quotient equation to the rest of us mere mortals.
I watch all his videos was curious if he would mention the Capt, traded in piracy for the slave trade..
His house is not that far from me.
Sounds to me like another Guinness
Clearly not related to him, but I have a granddad called Henry Morgan (he’s Irish)
Cheers I'll drink to that

I'm related to Admiral Sir Henry John Morgan on my mother's side, and the images of him are not correct at all, you can find paintings of what he really looked like in the United Kingdom. Artists dream up images of him and they should do better research in my opinion, but then I'm related to him and legends are not something I find interesting about family history, facts and the truth of a matter are more interesting to me for the reality of the man. He did make King Charles the Second wealthy dealing with the Spanish, also the silver pieces of eight was the first currency used in the newly formed United States years later. Admiral Sir Henry John Morgan's ancestors in the Carolina's also donated the land the oldest University in North Carolina is built on. I have copies of the maps of that gift and know all my ancestors on that side all the way back to the time of Christ just about... on my mother's side of the family. See a lot of you historians really get the facts mixed up from the real documents of events from history and many do not seem to do the research too well... and find that very interesting... history at times is more like legend than truth... but this is interesting what you have to say narrator. Fact mixed with fiction for the imagination of past events so many can not envision too well. Especially in the paintings and art work people have done not realizing the United Kingdom does have paintings that do exist of the real Admiral Sir Henry John Morgan. Pencoed Castle where some of the Morgan family lived in Wales and where Morgan's wife was from, he married his first cousin Mary... which Royalty of that time thought was normal to keep a blood line intact... is unique. Pencoed when the Morgan family was there in history entertained King Charles the First before he was executed. The Morgan family made the United Kingdom or England quite wealthy when Admiral Sir Henry Morgan dealt with the war with Spain, and King Charles the Second had a lot of illegitimate children and he was looking for a cure for syphilis of all things... and people seemed to like... if I put in modern terms... the Playboy King... a lot... and he did a lot better than King Charles the First. Of course some on the Morgan side of the family fought against the King of England as well, and got expelled from England for that but later they were forgiven by King Charles the Second. Pencoed Castle was recently up for auction since the last person that owned that property killed his lady consort and went to prison for it... he killed her at Pencoed Castle in Wales and was giving her ten grand a month to be his lady consort... and have not checked into that recently after Pencoed Castle's auction... due to my own issues in life. I do like the fact Admiral Sir Henry John Morgan named his flag ship "Satisfaction" ... for that concept of the time in duels and such in life. Wish some times that was still legal to do. LOL! I do have his temper when dealing with people and one of my sisters seeing his real paintings told me I look a lot like him. If I was rich I would have bid on Pencoed Castle, in Wales, some of it is inhabitable with people living there now, but the bidding for the Castle started at about one million dollars US funds... and I've had organ transplants and my donor's first name was Morgan which is bizarre, and lost a leg... and some times I wonder if it was because in the past my ancestor Admiral Sir Henry John Morgan married his first cousin, which isn't too bright in modern thinking but in that time, they did not know that kind of stuff is a bit ignorant to say the least. Interesting, thanks for the work making the video, wish you all had the time to take it deeper with accuracy but this is decent enough... wanted to write as I think about what he had done for the United Kingdom and the United States when he was an Admiral for King Charles the Second. Have a nice day... wish all of you the best.
He's my 7th great grand uncle

Drinking Captain Morgan right now. One of the most important figure in Anglo American history. Wrestled control of North America from Spain
Got a little Captain in you?
Jamaica and the Caribbean has been lied to about slavery and how it actually happened and these accounts help to prove my case and no disrespect to anyone but this account of his life is different compared to what I was taught about him in the 90's along with the history of my country
Let's only reference the Dutch chronicler Alexander Exquemelin by using his name badly with gobbledygook words. This documentary probably got most of it's information from his work... So sad
Torturing and plundering.
And rum🤟🤟
Tell us how he killed alot of people in Jamaica
Davy Jones took him back in the end.
Good riddance
