He and his brother, Merlin, are *very fortunate individuals.* If *we all* could have been *as lucky* in regard to the *parents and learning and life opprotunities* we were born to or grown up under the guidance of the world would be in a *far more humane condition. :)*
I would love to see an animated or perhaps puppeteer-ed version of this with each of the types of owls singing their parts, I think it would be really cute and also informative on the types of owls used for the song!
I saw him perform live. It was tremendous. I’ve never seen a musician who is so naturally musical. He created two or three songs on the spot, improvisationally. He would put a sound on a loop, and then just go from there. Once, he wasn’t happy with how it started. He restarted the sound, and a whole different song came out. It brought out just how truly improvisational each one was. They were just as good as the rest of the show. It was a tiny venue, I watched from about 5 feet away. A very special night.
Hey Cosmo, I doubt you will see this, but just a little tip I’ve learned giving a couple speeches is, don’t say umm as much. Just, personally I find it annoying
Dude this is Rupert Sheldrake's son.
That's so cute him and his dad both did tedxwhitechapel together! They are an insanely intellectual family.

Just discovered Cosmo Sheldrake. He is fantastic.

From the man who brought you songs like Solar Waltz and Wriggle, he is now... *making a trumpet sound?*
The more I hear about how the songs are made the more in love I fall with them
Yessssss I haven’t been able to find any good songs for so long now. So glad I found him. His music makes me so freaking happy
I liked the lyrics of the second song best.
really touching stuff. shed a tear
Fantastic! Love it! Pure creativity coupled with musical genius.
Make place for him in music history
He is a master of what he does
Wow! What a great discovery. Today is a good day!
I’ve loved this song for so long now, and I have never known how it was made! How astonishing
Owl song is this old? woah
Edit: just when i thought the noises he used couldn't get any weirder he uses the literal SUN

The king is in the altogether.
The name Sheldrake is sooo EPIC, COOL AND Beautiful
It’s a shame the audio was recorded so poorly. His voice is incredible in concert.
How is it possible that this video only has 43k views in 11 years?! Feels like these are just my views alone...
Our views! His fans mostly
I love him so much
The moss is the first one i heard
KrekerInGaming ITA me too
But my favorite is a tie between Axolotl, Tardigrade, and Egg and Soldier
Omg Owl Song with more than owls
Is there a name for the first song? Or is it improvised on the spot? I absolutely love it.
It's called owl song. You can check it out on his youtube channel
@@biggiecheese2602 and the second song?
@@biggiecheese2602 Thank you
eeeonie It’s improvised, so sadly this is the only recording of it to my knowledge. There may be another somewhere on the internet that I missed.

They must have had to replace that mic. The pure awesome must have damaged it.
I'm pretty sure he licked it

13:03 is that first version of The Fly, or something else, i recognize it
Why is rupert sheldrake banned from tedx?
his concepts go against the mainstream belief system
@@yehudabrick2169 Do they???
Pseudoscience
Tedx: make the Graham Hancock video public please
somehow it works
Is it just me or does he look like a young British Andy Samburg?
Good evening.
Excellent performance. What a shame that TED thought themselves fit to ban Cosmo´s father's talk.
;-)
Reggie Watts much?
When did he get bad? His other stuff is awesome.
This is the first of his stuff I've listened to. Now I'm really looking forward getting to know this guy's music!!
he isn't bad. he's different
this is amazing! his new stuff is especially good, i think you should give him another shot :(
Have you listened to his full-length album?
It’s the mic quality, not him
