Great willow leaf, as i always say, ur explanation n ur work on tree goes so well with us viewers🤝🤝
I just want to thank you Nigel, you are a cool guy and you make my days better with your videos!!
Great tutorial Nigel. I like that white background. Really makes the tree with the light trunk visible and easy to watch. I like the pot that you have the tree in. Everything works great together.
Great video Nigel. Makes me want to work on my Willow leaf Ficus so here we go! Yikes!
Always a great gift from Scott. Cool little screen ensemble.
Master's work produces beautiful results
That tree is so simple. Beautiful, the leaf shape makes it I think.
The trunk on this willow leaf ficus is so nice! I know some old willows and this definitely reminds me of them, even after the pruning. Good work!
This is a Ficus tree, "Ficus Salicaria" or "Ficus Neriifolia", popular name is Willow Leaf Ficus. Good prunning and branch selection tho...
Very Nice branching on that willow leaf.
The white background looks very nice, shows off you Willow Leaf Ficus, which your pruning enhanced, as usual. Thanks for continuing to be so prolific with your videos.
The tree looks great and very similar to the trunk I lost... except much bigger!
Nice bright background and good closeups in this video. Much easier to see pruning details.
Great job Nigel! The willow leaf ficus really looks like a tree, not a plant.. if you know what I mean. Scott is a great friend for sure! 👍
Very nice👍
So glad you shortened that branch at 26:40 I was hoping you'd do the same with the one on the right (cut it half above that other branch facing outwards) it looks too thick and too long to me compared to the trunk.. but you're the master, you know what you are doing :) Otherwise very pretty tree, love the trunk and root base..
Thanks.
This is a beautiful tree, Nigel. It would have been cool if you showed a before and after at the end of the video.
There is no going back, only forward!
Any news from the auction? Will you be sharing?
Hello…your “Lemon Tree Bonsai” popped up and I really enjoyed it. When I was a lot younger, (10), my mother had 2 Bonsai trees; I believe they were juniper. I don’t know what happened to them. At 66, I’d like to try one out and see how I do. Are there a couple of plants/trees you can recommend? We now live in Wyoming and it would have to be indoors because of cold and/or wind. Thank you.
P.S. I’m going to go back to your first video and work my way through. 👍🙂
It should fill out nicely.
Hey Nigel! I was thinking of putting my willow leaf outside for the season and I’m wondering if I should de-leaf it before I put it out?
I wish I could get a cutting of that
Nice video, The black background is way easier on the eyes when watching your videos. Maybe I'm crazy.
If i can come with advise. Take the top off. Take the right big branch down to it devides and go out. Think that would look better. But that its just my opinion.
Great video bud, got a nice shape to it.
But where do you find willow leaf ficus in southern Ontario? I’ve looked every where and can’t seem to find them.
Tropical Expressions has them, Chris Hendry does too!
@@TheBonsaiZone thanks, I shall check them out.
It's funny that you cut on the rip line. 😁
Is it just me or do these willow leaf ficus grow really slowly? I have one that I’ve been training for about four years I have only had to repot it twice and I barely prune because it barely grows, I do fertilize all my trees and use a nice free draining soil. I also live in the Caribbean so the climate shouldn’t be an issue.
I did buy it from a nursery and it was in very poor health, it had been trained as a bonsai (or at least planted in a bonsai pot) but was left forgotten in a corner with very little soil.
👍🍎
I don't like the front, That branch aiming backwards throws it off!
Not foist, again!
Foist
A Foist for Scott tonight, well done!!!!
🖖😎
Happy Birthday🎂🎂🎂 Kevin
it's interesting that how such a meticulous and hardworking youtuber like you has so many lighting problems in the videos.
i hope, someday you'll manage to set up the simple, yet functional stage with even lighting conditions that your videos deserve.
I prefer working outdoors in natural light!
As an unsophisticated viewer, I don't notice lighting problems at all in these videos.
