I will introduce about Mother Nature in 1 country which can kill many people and damage infrastructure massively with millions of events that have been recorded by International and many countries which have helped evacuate not only 1 or 100 tragedies. Nature in the country that I will discuss is indeed very beautiful, extraordinary, unique, strange, diverse, charming and has a world level but on the other hand as a cold-blooded killer, very brutal, unforgiving and has major power. Namely INDONESIA.
Why do I love Indonesia? The only country that makes "REPTILE" as national animals is Indonesia. I'm talking about 100% nature in Indonesia, not 1 city or 1 island.
You know? Mother Nature in this country is the mastermind behind major natural disasters that can hit many countries and cause many fatalities, not just 1 or 100 times, but more than that. One Example : Tsunami 2004 (Boxing Day) start from Indonesia (Aceh Sumatera) impact 20 countries (To Africa). This is real.
When I was a teenager, at the high school level I always studied and read books about nature in a library located in Europe. I found a book that said :
    >Tambora A Killer From Indonesia.
    >Krakatoa The Day The World Exploded.
Both of these books tell about nature and its brutality at the same time. Not only that, in the book it is explained that the incident is located in 1 country but in different regions. Was it the only tragedy that was written by the International? No, there is a lot of history of major natural disasters in Indonesia that are written internationally.
Without many people realizing that nature in Indonesia is also very cruel, often raging, abnormal and brutal. Total natural disasters in Indonesia (8 Years Calculation) :
    >Year 2022 = 1.421 (Period Jan - Jun).
    >Year 2021 = 3,058
    >Year 2020 = 2,925
    >Year 2019 = 9,375 (Super insane).
    >Year 2018 = 3,397
    >Year 2017 = 2,341
    >Year 2016 = 2,342
    >Year 2015 = 1,682
Total natural disasters for 8 years = 26.541
If you know all the volcanoes, rivers, lakes, caves, waterfalls, beaches, mountains, rice fields, forests, wastelands and others in Indonesia (Nature), the nature is very insane. For me personally, a visit to Indonesia is the most memorable for me because I have visited 51 natural tourist attractions.

Indonesia is a complete and very diverse tour package in large quantities. Even on trains, buses, airplanes, and ships, you can see different views from one country. It's really crazy, like going to another country but still in the same country. Imagine in 1 city and even then there are many tourist attractions. What about Indonesia as a whole? Millions of tourist attractions. Therefore, many people misunderstand tourism in Indonesia because it is too much and varied. Then you will find something unique and strange, at least go on 30 different trips to tourist attractions in Indonesia and I am sure you will have a much more extraordinary experience.
List of places I want to visit in 2024 in Indonesia :

(And the remaining 109 natural attractions I have not applied, because I am still looking for information on which tourist attractions I will visit in 2024). You can check the photos of the places I mentioned on Google, the natural attractions in Indonesia are crazy.
Did you know if we look at the map of the Indonesia territory, it's like a person / Jinn who sleeps on his back.
    Sumatra : Feet.
    Kalimantan : Stomach.
Jawa, Bali, Nusa Tenggara : Spine.
    Sulawesi : Bosom.
    Maluku : Neck.
    Papua : Head.
    Other small islands : Acne.
Not only that, Indonesia has more than 500 volcanoes = Active, inactive and underwater.
Nature in Indonesia is really insane very different class categories, there is a saying that says :
(Indonesia is the throne Queen Mother Nature).
There is even a study that has visited 400 tourist attractions in Indonesia and it is only 10% for him. From Sabang Sumatera to Merauke Papua (in 1 country) is expensive and long distance. It costs the same as you flying from Egypt to Dubai or Jakarta to South Korea or Spain to Belarus.
Indonesia was originally not an archipelago but a mainland called SUNDALAND (Western side of Indonesia) and SAHULLAND (Eastern side of Indonesia). However, 70% of the land was sunk into the ocean.
The territory of Indonesia is 60% sea, 30% (Forests, Volcanoes, Caves, Waterfalls, Rivers, Lakes, Mountains, Forests, Deserts, Cliffs and Canyons) and 10% Man-made.
The total area of Indonesia is 8.5 million km² (Including land, sea and EEZ). The coastline of Indonesia is more than 98.000 km².
In fact, in Indonesia, a lot tourist attractions (100% overall) is more than 4.800.000 - 6.100.000 (This is a total of the craziest nature in the world, that's why Indonesia has been named the MOST BEAUTIFUL NATURE IN THE WORLD AND ALSO THE MOST BRUTAL).
Indonesia is HEAVEN and HELL which collide with each other simultaneously, has 2 different sides. Traveling to Indonesia is not just about a relaxing and exciting travel experience, it is much deeper and more than that. You can even feel disappointed, emotional, confused, sad, tired, give up, smile, laugh, afraid, goosebumps, satisfied and others at the same time.
The number of victims of natural disasters in Indonesia in 1 year :
    >(2022) is 1.4 million people.
    >(2021) is 8.4 million people.
    >(2020) is 945 people.
    >(2019) is 3.721 people.
    >(2018) is 10.32 million people.
    >(2017) is 52.930 people.
    >(2016) is 6 million people.
    >(2015) is 22.773 people.
Total victims of natural disasters in Indonesia for 7 years = 25.200.369
Indonesia the most prominent is "MOTHER NATURE". The thinking of ordinary people will not reach when discussing Mother Nature, because Indonesia is labeled as a country that has the most brutal and risky nature in the world. The category of nature in Indonesia is actually "VERY EVIL". Lots of documentation, films, articles, notes and history that have been made by people who are about nature in Indonesia.
Mother Earth in Indonesia has long been known as the "Crazy Killer". Even natural disasters in Indonesia are divided into 3 groups, namely:
    1). MACRO.
    2). MEZZO.
    3). MICRO.
Unbeknownst to ordinary people, know that nature in each country is different (Nothing is the same). Therefore, many experts always remind "Be careful when going to natural attractions in Indonesia". This is not a joke, because it is all written in International and National.
This country has Mother Nature which is the most interesting to discuss, I recommend to explore Indonesia because Mother Nature in this country is one above all.

both Indonesia and Malaysia had the same ancestry, but then separated from each other.
from there, both grew differently culture-wise. But the "core" are still more or less the same.
like some of the foods for example, I think it is more of a "regional dish" than a specific "native dish".
both had some influences from the middle east, india, china, and to some extend some European (thanks to the trades and colony times).

from article that I read pandan cake or bolu pandan in Indonesia got influence from Dutch. Dutch introduce cake to Indonesian and then Indonesian use pandan leaf for natural color for the cake also make cake have good smells. Indonesia's independent is 1945 and Singapore is 1965. so Indonesian disagree if Singapore claim that Pandan cake as their national cake. because the famous store who made Pandan cake in Singapore called Bengawan Solo founded in 1979, the owner is imigran from Indonesia

The reason of why Indonesia mosque looks like Hindu temple is because (especially in java), java is mostly hindu at that time, and when Islam arrived, they want to spread the philosophy of islam through culture, and the culture which the people used to is hindu culture. That's why the Islam you'd find in indonesia is very different in culture than what you'd find in the middle east.

Growing uo i realized that it was so possible tohave so many similiarities between one country next to each other since we are all just Nusantara at first. And when people from each other country met, they basically best friends lol.
Also i noticed that you were interested to the great mosque demak which have hinduism influence on it. I literally live in this city and that mosque was like more or less an hour drive from my home.
The mosque do take from hinduism temole since that was what method of the 'ulama' (people who like to teach the believe of Islam) use to aproach the people. In Islam, as long as it is not againts the syariat (Islamic laws) then you can use it. For example, we can decorate the mosque based on local wisdom bcs the important is that it was a place to pray. We are not middle east people, we are javanese. We love our own culture and so is the ulama who at that time teaching about Islam in here named Sunan Kalijaga. He is a javanese and really love the jawa cultures. Instead wore surban (something people in the middle east wore on their head) he wore blangkon (some sort of some cap made of cloth that you wore on your hade for male). He dakwah or teaching the believe of Islam using wayang kulit ( a theatrical play? But the character is played by one person. They will play dolls and tell a story. The doll is from cow skin dehidrated and shaped them to look like some sort of human which has all part of human body but doesn't really look like human- just search 'Wayang Kulit' )
Bcs of the way he teaching and the believe of Islam is actually resonate of what people at that time believe to. People begin to convert themselves into islam. They do not opress people who is buddism or hinduism into islam bcs Islam is peace. Our ancestor love the teaching of the Islam and the similiarity about how there is cretire of all things in the world and cosmoss. How we have to respect the nature and all things that have given to us. Not to be greedy and ect.
Back the the grat mosque of Demak. One of hunduism trai is about the roof. If you notice, tge roof have so many roof as if it was a level. There are some levels on the roof and it shown how in jawanese / hinduism there are some element of the essentials of humanity wich so resonate wuth the tecahing in islam of iman, islam and ikhsan. Those all things really resonate to jawanese people philosophy of humanity.

Let me get this straight. Kinda... because im not an expert.
Why Malaysia also have lot of similar culture with Indonesia? And they sometimes fighting/claiming some stuff from Indonesia?
BECAUSE INDONESIA IS A COUNTRY WITH LOT OF TRIBES AND THEY ALSO HAVE MALAY TRIBE. And that's the same people of Malaysia.
Plus, lot of Indonesian's tribes in the past migrated to lot of places. Malay, Bugis, Minang, Javanese, etc. They love to migrate to some places. They even migrated to Madagascar in long long time ago. Medieval era maybe. I forgot when. It's the Javanese.
I give u one example of this cultural mix thing.
    Why Malaysia have rendang too?
Originally, rendang is from Minang tribe. And the center of Minang people is in the West Sumatera province in Indonesia. And Minang tribe is one of the tribe in Indonesia that loves to migrates to some places. They call it as "merantau".
Idk how rendang spread to Malay peninsula in the first time. But probably it's either back then the Minangnese migrated to that Peninsula(and they bring their culture with them) and now they already became a part of Malaysia's citizen or some Malay from Malay Peninsula visit Minang region and learn some stuff and then go back to the Peninsula. Or both.
The same goes to Keris. Silat. Etc. It's all from Malay people in Indonesia actually.
And for Keris, it's from Javanese. Yes Javanese also part of Malay family. But they're like.. creating their new tribe. They're truly different from Malay in the Sumatera island and in the Malay Peninsula.
Now, obviously lot of Malaysian youths dont know "which stuff that originated from Malay Peninsula". Malaysia basically like a melting pot there. Because located in the middle of one of the busiest sea trade route since long time ago. And Singapura/Temasek is the busiest port in there.
Probably in near future, some ignorant Malaysian youth will claim some stuff again. Like.. Rendang.
But it's understandable tho. They're ignorant. They dont know about their history yet.
I kinda hate that dude's presentation about Malaysia's jealously thing. It's not good, bruh. But also kinda good to show the world that we have this kind of problem.
The same goes to Indonesia as well. Indonesia also a melting pot too. Their national language itself is the example about how diverse they are.
Both Malaysia's Bahasa Malay and Indonesia's Bahasa Indonesia are based from MALAY LANGUAGE. The pure Malay language. But then both modify it. Malaysia's Malay is not pure Malay. Indonesia's too.
And in Indoensia's national language, u can see Arabic, indian, chinese, dutch, english, japanese, javanese, sundanese, etc influence. Bahasa Indonesia is simple language. Thanks to Malay language as the basis. BUT in Bahasa Indonesia they have LOT AND LOT AND LOT OF VOCABULARIES. And it keeps evolving.
Now their slang n meme language evolves so quick.

    • @DBT1007
      @DBT1007 3 роки тому +1

probably.. this is an easy example about this cultural slur or confusion for international people.
some Japanese migrated to USA in World War era and open up sushi restaurant there.
And a Japanese invented the California Roll type sushi. Sushi with cooked stuff and with the nori in the inside. and no raw fish.
      And it's loved by Americans.
Now.. what do u all think about this? sushi is from USA or from Japan? From Japan, right?
But what about Americans in like.. 100 years later? Probably some of them will confuse IF THEY DIDNT LEARN THE HISTORY. "Sushi is from Japan or from USA??" They will wonder like that.
And the same thing goes with Pizza, Burger, and other food that actually not originated in USA.
Glad that now we record almost everything. we can know history of something.
But in the past, lot of stuffs didnt get recorded. including these Malay cultures. theyre from malay in malay peninsula or malay in indonesia archipelago? so blurry.. few records or even no records at all.

To say that a dish is native to a **correction** COUNTRY is rather pointless because it's the people who make the food. If you have the same people or descendants of the same people living in two countries you can always expect to find the same food albeit with slight variations. Malaysian & Indonesians arguing about who gets to claim the "rendang" as their national dish, may have forgotten that the dish and the people/ethnicity who created it have existed way long before "malaysia" & "indonesia" was set up as different countries. I mean we don't see anyone bickering about who gets to call the Donut their national food do we? Come on guys. Let's put the family feud to rest shall we?

The opening when he said Malay Archipelago.... He is right. It somehow hurts us in Indonesia. The name given in 1859 by the British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace who did the Wallace Line Theory. But he changed our name in the map from Nusantara (original name for all of the Indonesian islands) into Malay Archipelago????? For what reasons?

  • @diazjulianms
    @diazjulianms 11 місяців тому

21:00 that part was wrong actually most Malay cultures come from Sumatra island which is the birthplace of Malay culture itself and Sumatra is in Indonesia so… yea and to this day both Indonesian and Malaysian share 90% (not 60%-70%) of mutual intelligibility, the part where Indonesian or Bahasa Indonesia diverted from Malay is because Indonesian or Bahasa Indonesia try as much to incorporate words from other ethno linguistic groups around the archipelago and yes modern loan words mostly come from Dutch meanwhile Malay modern loan words come from English and also usually Indonesian speakers when talking to a Malay may be a bit confused at first because the Malay accent is completely different than Indonesian but we still got it anyway. Maybe it’s like when an American and someone with thick British Posh accent having a conversation, as American you might don’t get it first but then you slowly understand it that’s how it is with Indonesian and Malay (The American is Indonesian and The British is Malaysian)

Nope. Those buildings were deliberately built as Mosque with Javanese or any local architectures. However, these traditional architectures were heavily influenced by Hindus and Buddhism culture from the past and the people maintain the culture until today. Yes we absorb Islamic values, but not Arabic culture, two different things.

the five autonomous provinces have different reasons on why they joined Indonesia; the Papua already explained, Aceh is more or less similar to Papua but peaceful time happened just after the 2004 earthquake + tsunami disaster. Jogja on the other hand, the previous Sultan agreed to join the country if it was given autonomous status.
a little history lesson the reason why Indonesia becomes the country with the most muslim is because; back in the days we have Muslim scholars we called as Wali Sanga (9 scholars) and they used traditional art and performances to spread the teaching ( through music (gamelan and tembang) and Shadow puppet (wayang)) and the subjects usually follows their King so if the King converts, the subjects will follow. So this Wali Sanga first spread the islamic teaching to the royals of Hindu Kingdom (Majapahit on it's nearly doom time) and converted them into islam; then their subject followed; therefore you will still find hindu influences amongst the Indonesian islamic culture (including the prayers when someone died, among others). and the reason why Japanese is consider best friend was because most of the road and development in Indonesia was because of Japan's financial aid (or loan, but I take it as their guilty conscience for torturing our people during the 3.5 years of their occupation)

16:11 no. They just build it that way. There are no rules in building style in Islamic teaching. So indoensian add their own flair on most of their mosques. In fact domes and minarets which are the common attributes of a mosque are actually adopted from pre Islamic Nubia and Rome. The earlier mosques originally are just plain cube buildings with leaf roofs.

@ The Commodity, to grow your channel rapidly, you have started with Malaysia and now you have included Indonesia. This is a wise move. You could include India next and add others as you develop further.
The globally famous, vlogger Benjamin Rich of "Bald and Bankrupt" channel, only started in July 2018 in India and built his channel to a current subscriber base of more than 2.6 Million. He has recently started another secondary channel which hit 207,000 subscribers in just 2 weeks with some some 5 minutes content vlogs daily.
The surprising fact about Benjamin's vlogs is, he does not actively requests viewers to subscribe and yet he has been very successful.

The argument is probably only happen on social media. But actually; when we're meet in person, we're just like brothers and sisters. In terms of language, we (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei) share the same language. Just a few differences and meaning (like American & British English).
So, why don't we just enjoy and share what we have together; rather than fighting for no reason. Peace, from Borneo 🇲🇾 😊✌

Ok in 1800s or 1700s ( I don't remember) Netherlands and Britain make agreement to split Malay archipelago into 2 so Malaysia was govern by British then the Indonesia with Riau Islands was govern by the Dutch so that's why Riau Islands was supposed in Malaysia but now they're in Indonesia. In 1600s Riau Islands was in Johore Riau Sultanate Government once upon a time @TheCommodity @Miles

Let me share my experiences when I was in Indonesia in 2010, 2015 & 2018. Believe it or not, you will know the real Indonesia from my typing. Previously, I have been to Thailand, France, England, Japan, Philippines and Singapore. Each country has the characteristics of each tourist spot. But I will discuss nature in Indonesia which makes me shiver and wonder at the same time.
INDONESIA, who is that? what's that? At first I didn't know anything about Indonesia, in the end when I was in a big library in Europe. I am interested in the book that says "INDONESISCH". The book was written by one of the researchers, scientists, historians and experts from various countries in Europe. In the book, he wrote a list of very large natural disasters that occurred in Indonesia and even other countries affected by the impact took many lives. It was a very terrible incident, at first I did not believe in the book. But now I really believe. (Tambora eruption, Krakatoa Eruption, Toba Eruption, Samalas Eruption, Aceh Tsunami 2004 and others). This is no joke.
In Indonesia, there are many natural tourist attractions that are unreasonable and unique, in one city alone there are many natural tourist attractions. What about the whole of Indonesia? When I visited 42 natural attractions in Indonesia, I immediately recalled what the book had written. I was immediately amazed and could not speak, because the natural attractions in Indonesia are different and make Indonesia an International GeoPark recognized by UNESCO.
Nature in Indonesia is like a queen who has a very beautiful, unique, charming and attractive appearance but at the same time is very dangerous and deadly when awakened from sleep, it can even have an impact on other countries. His level of power and rampage was too insane. This is original history written internationally.
The number of natural disasters in Indonesia from 2016 to 2020 was 17,032 events. That's a 5 year calculation, What if the total is from 1945? Could be more. In fact, the most earthquakes in the world are not Japan or Chile, but Indonesia. Not only that, hurricanes, tsunamis, landslides, floods, storms, typhoons, earthquakes eruptions and others.
The thing I remember most is when the 2004 Aceh Tsunami in Indonesia was documented all over the world, I couldn't watch it because there were so many bodies on the streets and the death toll was more than 250,000. and impacted 14 countries just 1 hit. Until the Indonesian government made a museum for the Aceh Tsunami 2004. As well as many other countries that helped and International media covered. Tsunami Aceh 2004 original from Indonesia to 14 countries, not only that.
There is a sentence that says "The more beautiful you look, the more dangerous you are". This sentence represents Queen Mother Nature in Indonesia (Abnormal Queen) but,
I LOVE QUEEN MOTHER NATURE IN INDONESIA.
(Indonesia is the throne of Queen Mother Nature).

No demak mosque isn’t repurposed, it is purpose built, quite old though like from 15th century. The key is demak sultanate monarch was the son of one of majapahit (the last great hindu-buddhist kingdom in Java before they fled to Bali).
That is the difference in islam in Indonesia yes there are conquest but the change was gradual (not much conquest, smaller war did happen though) kinda like syncretism. This is true of christianity too syncretism with the older hindu-buddhist or animist tradition. You can even search javanese jesus which look like buddha.
Remember ‘work closely’ meant USA (alongside british mainly) supported a 1965 genocide of communist which might reach 1 million people. The true extend of USA involvement is still in secrecy, since some documents had only been released in 2017. So yeah thank you very much. (Read lots of them are recent release: Jakarta Methods, the killing seasons, or watch the act of killing)
