There is more than one ending to the game tho (3 endings), the one I got was completely different (Io became a tree that provided infinite blood drops and saved the MC from their fate and everyone became normal and happy again (including the successors)), can you show the other endings please?

LET US PLAY GOD EATER TOGETHER AND RULE THE WORLD!" and the other guys were like "are you crazy bro? what the fuck is a god eater?" and then they stabbed him.
They take place in the same universe. That's the twist. There's also the implication that the Revanants are actually the first God Eaters. EDIT: Lore confusion. They probably wouldn't be the first God Eaters. But they could potential be the new successors.
@@chrisossu2070 The 1st God Eater was Soma. If you piece the Lore together, Revenants were created to fight the very first, small, not-immune-to-weapon Aragami. They eradicated the ones inside the game map, then the Queen incident happened and thus the Red Mist was created to lock everyone in. Meanwhile Aragamis outside the place turned into the tough, world-threatening ones you fight in GE.
@Can Sigura I'm wondering if the Aragami eating the BORS parasites lead to the creation of the God Cells with the insane regeneration. Because when you kill the Aragami they fade the same as the Revenants.
It's a bit sad they didn't include Io in at least some cutscenes. It feels like she is not traveling with you at all. Which is okay since she is optional. And they already had to make versions of cutscenes where Eva isn't around. So if they included her they would need to make a lot more scenes multiple times. (Those where Eva is and isn't in with Io, scenes where Eva is but Io isn't as well as where none of the two is there.) From a development standpoint, especially with a cutscene gallery, I completely understand this decision. But as someone who loves it when gameplay and story go hand in hand it would've been cool. Plus, I don't know how true this is, but I always felt that Io is one of (if not the) strongest partners. So many players probably had the same feeling that it's a bit off to not see her in the cutscenes. In the end, the story of Code Vein isn't the focus of the game. It is one of the games where you can think your parts between the lines and that's fine.
just started this game couple weeks ago and i got to agree, im thinking Io being a partner may not have originally been planned, as along with not being in the cutscenes with the group at the start she mentioned she couldnt fight however in gameplay shes does tons of damage so im thinking she may have been a later decision to have her join in
@@brandonwithnell612 Yeah I have her with me like all the time because her magic is insane. There are things the others are better for and a certain partner is better to get OP build stuff done. But she also gets Waifu bonus. For a character thats supposed to be the protector/guardian of the Main Character she gets a pretty low representation ingame. Even for a game thats not giving that much stuff to work with. I guess the lack of her in cutscenes is also done because while all the other partners have their little Arcs in the story where its explained what they've been through, in Ios Case we have all the memories of her sisters who let yourself puzzle together what her fate might've been. For me, I think she, just like all the others, traveled through Vein in order to find and protect her Successor. We see what would've happened if that Successor had died before, if they're not nessecarily needed (in case of Mias brother, which also leads to the fact that watching over them is their only real purpose and thats what Io doesn't really want to otherwise her and the players roles wouldn't be reversed in a way), one was captured for experiments iirc and so on. As I said 2 years ago, Code Vein lets you puzzle stuff together and it gives you just enough to work with or ignore it. Your reasoning seems to be the most likely scenario tho.
I like how the Queens knight changes the moves to perfectly catch you off guard if u dodge like in the first fight. The wing tackle is the most evil. In the original battle you have to dodge away from him to dodge it and he still does it in the rematch, but sometimes he teleports and u have to dodge forward into him, not backwards or he´ll spank your booty. It felt like he learned from the previous encounter and the more satysfying was to beat him again. I don´t get why people said it´s just a reskin and lazy design. Also if he does the third phase (which he didn´t in the video), his aura doesn´t only cause leak, but also reduces your maximum ichor. I just noticed that today on my 4th playtrough.
@@damnamistupid7154 in the demos and trailers everything seemed floaty, a guy would crash his 3 meter axe into the ground and it would barely make a sound, now the screen actually shakes and rocks fly everywhere when something like that happens, so the game feels less floaty.

As a souls fan I was pretty pumped on this game. After watching this I am no longer lol. The boss fights seem pretty straight forward and it all kind of seemed telegraphed. Still going to try it, just going to hold out on buying it right now.

The only similarity is the fact that they are both canines and were originally human (all successors were originally remnants).

its the other way around.. they not try hard enough to make it dark souls.. boss not epic.. movement even more slugish.. no free wielding.. no unique weapon.. same bland hack and slash..if u playing dark soul 3, the boss atk patern literaly making u dance around.. aside from the difficulty its pretty much beautiful.. i am pretty much sure they only using god eater material.. and try to make it dark soul..

Hated Lotric to my bones once. So never gave a second thought on his dying words. Until ng4+. AndThat was a big eye opening. Finally understood where he was standing, why he refused to kindle the flame, and so on. And More importantly there was "definitely" nothing strange with that brotherly back hug. My point is, Souls is Masterpiece and this one is just SAO if not complete Hentai.
If anything code vein is the middle ground of darksoul and god eater, darksoul is a bit more slow and realistic, while god eater is pretty much mmo dmc 5

I think the greatest plot twist in videogame history is the plot twist that code vein was secretly a god eater spinoff the whole time.

Oh my gawd almost every boss has the same theme thats very lazy same goes for the sound effects welp looks like i'm gonna keep music off forever cause i don't wanna hear the same theme from almost every boss over and over and over again thxs devs u had all the time in the world to make great music for this game and this is wat we get reusing assets *LAZY*
they can add the anime to the dark souls, but can't take the dark souls out of the anime.. what a shame actually

I mean when you're taking heavy inspiration from Dark Souls your game is gonna lose a lot of personality like this and Surge.
I've had the exact same feeling
Hated Lotric to my bones once. So never gave a second thought on his dying words. Until ng4+. AndThat was a big eye opening. Finally understood where he was standing, why he refused to kindle the flame, and so on. And More importantly there was "definitely" nothing strange with that brotherly back hug.
My point is, Souls is Masterpiece and this one is just SAO if not complete Hentai.
it feels like this game was meant to be something else, like maybe xenoblade style gameplay, but they reworked it into a souls clone.

If anything code vein is the middle ground of darksoul and god eater, darksoul is a bit more slow and realistic, while god eater is pretty much mmo dmc 5
