If they added a thigh swivel and better torso articulation these would be the best 6 inch figures out. There already good figures.
And a liiitle bit taller

Probably one of the best figures of this line. Definitely in the top 5. It's aged well.
Hasbro could learn a lot from whoever made this. Great looking sculpt, paint and accessories for roughly the same price as a Marvel Legends figure.

+Santiago Alava The standard price for Icons is $24 for non deluxe figures. I think that's pretty good considering they're (from what I've seen) all brand new sculpts, better sculpts, better paint apps and they come with more accessories whereas Legends come with a BAF piece that generally isn't all that great when fully assembled. Some Legends are worth the $20 price but more often than not they aren't, hence the fat clearances that often happen.
I can't wait for the nightwing icons release figure.

You check out the Hal Jordan Icons? I feel like you'd love the construct mech armor he comes with.
This figure is almost a posable statue... Sculpt is really impressive..
I'm impressed by the hinge ballpeg in the hips. I wish Classic Superman got this treatment

Tie swivels, better torso range, and a better head articulation, would make this figures so much better, but I heard that they are really fragile though
Certainly a thigh swivel could help a lot for articulation, but not for aesthetics. I preffer aesthetics over articulation, but it's only my opinion. And about fragility, I guess it's more a matter of how agressive people are with their figures. I've seen some reviewers that are veeery heavy handed with their toys for example, so that doesn't help with anything.
Great review ! I was hoping to see better articulation for the head. It is very limited. DC Collectibles has not improved that articulation, but the sculpting and paint apps are still there. It is a very nice John Stewart figure, and the accessories compliment the figure.
The DC Collectibles Icons figures are smaller than the Marvel Legends and DCUC figures. They are probably in scale with the firsts Marvel Legends figures. They average 6 inches, while the Marvel Legends figures are about 6 1/2 inches. The things that I like about the Icons figures are the new sculpting (body molds), the paint apps and accessories.
I hope that they will fix the problem with the new figures that are coming in November in Amazon or with the new Justice League 7 pack from the DC Rebirth storyline.
these icons are leagues better then marvel legends. really want that superman and hope they make a Bruce Wayne version of Batman soon.
imo they really dropped the ball on superman, his face in the final product is just meh, kind of ruined my plans to have my justice league in icons :( best figures so far to me are hal jordan GL and the flash. Grayson batman is okay, Green arrow is okay too, but yeah hopefully they make a bruce wayne batman. I really like this jon stewart GL though, might consider getting it sometime.

Hey, Anthony. Great video. I'm a huge fan and collector of the DC Icons figure line and was wondering how you got the John Stewart figure? To my knowledge The Joker is the only figure available from wave 4 and the only way I've been able to figure out getting one is on Amazon Japan. I got The Joker figure but really want to finish off the wave for my collection. I'm especially excited about the Firestorm figure. Big Bad Toys say they (other wave 4 figures) are expected to arrive in October.

With these slight improvements to DC icons line, in your personal opinion do you think Icons is worth collecting? I have been kind of on the fence about starting them. I feel if I start collecting, I'm going to go full justice league!

he does very few size comparisons in the reviews, thats what the measurements are for, but he does group comparisons, he has done group comparison videos for shf dbz, spiderman figs, smash bro characters, and a few others maybe he will do one for the Icons although I doubt it because he only has a few of them.
It doesn't scale with Marvel Legends so it's pointless asking for a compassion. In fact there are tons of reviews online show dc iicon figures being smaller in scale for it being a 6 inch scale it fits in scale to jjapanese import 6 inch scale with them.
Anthony, I know you didn't buy these but what's your opinion on the MSRP increase? From 21.99 to 26.99.

How does that make a difference if it's still priced at $23.99? Even my local comic shop sells them for $24. Aren't we talking about how much they actually cost since that's the price we'll be paying?
Shane Richardson That's the suggest price, it will vary from store to store, not every one is selling them at $23.99, clearly you haven't been to every store in the US. Also, if you look at Marvel Legends (other toy lines are similar) you'll see that their MSRP is exactly 21.99 and it's what you'll find them for most of time.

Scuplt and paint wise the Icons are better than legends but the limited articulation of the Icons is really disappointing

Good review but I gave up collecting anything DC. They aren't good at making obscure characters and the female figures (hint hint Wonder Woman) leave alot to be desired and we will probably get a few more Batman figures in the Icons line before all is said and done.
