I made this while sitting at my daughter's place yesterday for her father's girlfrnd. She LOVED IT. I was so sneaky doing it right there while we were all chatting. Literally took me 40 minutes. She hugged me so hard. I love bringing family closer with a small token of love and warmth. Merry Christmas, everyone!!
I held together two strands of 4 weight to make a bulky yarn. Used cream and mustard until the mustard ran out (7 rows) then used cream and charcoal for the last two rows. Looks amazing and works up SO fast and easy. Great easy gift idea. Thank you.
Love this…I’m trying to get back into my knitting and crocheting after the passing of my husband. It’s been over 2 yrs and I’m showing an interest again. I miss him so much.😢 thanks for your wonderful tutorials. Your voice is very calming❤
Excellent video tutorial Jennifer. Perfect speed and awesome filming up close so we could follow along easily. Thank you for sharing. I really love this pattern!!!
Just started making cowls this Fall. Love making them. They are so simple and stylish at the same time. I need more yarn so I can try this style too. "YARN SHOPPING, YAY!!!:
Love this. One of my coworkers asked for a crochet cowl or scarf. I wasn't sure I"d have time to do it, but this was actually perfect. I did not make it as high up as yours...I made it so she will drape loosely around neck. Thanks for a great pattern! You are a good teacher! :)
Lovely cowl pattern, thank you! I’m making this in Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, color Starlight, a cream with thin gold strands woven in. Can’t wait to get it started.
Excellent tutorial project. I have been crocheting (and knitting) for decades - usually using a pattern I make up in my head for each row as I go along. This pattern looks perfect for me - (almost) instant gratification - and [mostly] 'mindless'. Thanks!
I do that too, but UA-cam has changed everything, there are so many things to make. I love that crochet is so fast as I am hot patient at all. This is also on my list👌🤗
If I want to make this, can I double up 4 dk yarn if I don't have bulky? Been crocheting for years, weights of yarn I'm still confused on as well as a few other things, still learning. Thanks for sharing
I jus ran to the store to buy some super bulky yarn and I can’t wait to make this!! Question: would this be too bulky on a person if I made the circumference longer so they could double wrap it around the neck? It looks small on the video, unless a teenager puts it on. What do you recommend?
She NEVER answers questions as I've recently noticed. 1. This is a Cowl so it's not made to Double. There are many, many Great Tutitorials on UA-cam for making Cowls, Infinity scarves (you can wrap around twice) as for the size/ circumference after you connect your chain in the Round; put it over your head or your teens and you get a better idea of how tight/loose. Another hint is do the 1st row All the way around, place over your head and double check size. Hope this is helpful 💝
Why so many starting Chains ? To make it more slouchy ? Nevermind forgot its made 2 diff ways straight then saw up or do it in rounds not with it today but definitely doing this if I like it going to do my next afghan with a v stich that's one stich I haven't tried another one on the list thank u
I like this & look forward to it. You mention in the video that the beginning chains are a multiple of 3+4 stitches. 60 is not a multiple of 3 + 4. Perhaps a correction should be made.
@@gfrost17 go back and listen to her instructions one more time. Multiple of 3 is how you get any length you want like 60, 63, or 90 stitches for example. Plus 4 which equals the first double crochet, chain 1. You got this.
I'm already stuck on the problem with the math on the starting chain, which is supposed to be a multiple of 3 plus 4. 60 doesn't work as a multiple of 3 plus 4.

Very nice tutorial. Easy to follow pattern. Thank you for sharing
Oh how beautiful! I wish I had some of that yarn!
Ahhh looks so soft and squishy😊🐑
Didn’t have enough of one color so I used three skeins of different purples. Turned out great!
Love the V stitch patterns! Very nice!
Thank you for the pattern, you were very easy to follow. I've already made two, now working on my third.
Awesome I need a couple xmas gifts for my bible study ladies... so glad I saw this.
Yay! They work up SO fast!
Yes I made 10 of them so happy how they came out.... I used 2 strands of 4 ply. They came out gorgeous. Thanks again for tutorial
How many inches is this cowl?
Another awesome cowl pattern♥
Love this cowl! Looks so beautiful!
Thank you for such a simple and pretty stitch! I just love and appreciate your video tutorials! Continue being fabulous! ✌🏻😁
Merry Christmas to you and yours . and ty for this fast gift
Great pattern for a teacher gift!🎁👍🎅

Thank you for a great gift idea!
Pretty cowl. Thanks for sharing jennifer💖🎅🎄
Fantastic, thank you!
Stunning cowl
Thank you so much for that great tutorial!👍👍👍😍😍 Mine is smaller in red...🙄🙂🤷♀️
Just a suggestion...try using a N Susan Bates crochet hook; the yarn doesn't slip off the hook like it does with a Boye hook.
Just finished ✅
For my grams:)
I made one for my sister-in-law in the color wheat lion brand wool ease think & quick. Love how quick this works up! Thanks Jennifer!
So beautiful 🥰
So beautiful, I love the color! 💕
How many rows did u do must of missed it some how? Love this stitch looks like it goes really quick!

Yes, you can double up. I did and it turned out great.

Thank you so much Sherri
Thank you so much ma'am for this tutorial 😊
very nice!
Very pretty, thanks! 😊
Hello how long is the length you crocket it
Is it possible to do a tutorial of this with a hood?
I make cowls with my scrap Yarn and donate them to the church.
Is there a final row count for this one once finished so I can have a general idea of a number of rows?
Forgot to ask can I just use size 4? With what needle would you suggest.
Thank you! I just made this as a last minute gift.
Great!!! Would this pattern work with worsted weight yarn?
Yes

If I want to make this a scarf instead of a cowl, how would I start?
How much wool did you use all together please
merci
Love this❤
Please if I want to make it around neck twice how much would it change in starting chain and height
How many rows is this?

She adds 4 in the first rnd with the ch 4 at beg
At the beg of rnd 1 she adds 4

I am working this flat. How do I know how long I want this on the neck? Did she say 17 inches?
14"H x 32"L....
Wowza...
Starting chain is multiple of 3 + 4. Am I missing something? How is that 60 chains?

my yarn is twisting like nobody's business! how did you make your's not twist like crazy?? lol
60 isn’t a multiple of 3 + 4 or is it. I’m going bonkers?
❤️
I'm curious could I use a 4 ply yarn with a bulky 5 ? It's all white and I want some coloring it
👍💝💝
