I appreciate your honesty . Not everyone can admit they learned something . Love my P17 and functions flawlessly with CCI Stinger's .
BTW - My wife calls this one hers , and she shoots it well .
May God Almighty bless your household .

Hey TN neighbor….I’m in Maryville. Anyway I bought the P-17 and I also have the Taurus TX 22. My daughter likes the P-17 so I’m happy to see it’s a good gun after all those rounds. I enjoy your videos 👍.

I am on the other end of the state from you, but I will be up in Knoxville in August for the Gun Owners of America summit. It is free for members. If you haven't joined up, I would encourage you to do so and come out on August 17 and 18. goals.gunowners.org/

I just got one. I won't be able to get to a range for a couple of weeks but I have been wearing it around the house and handling it to get familiar with it.

I had a P17 given to me in January of this year because the commie state of Illinois said he couldnt have it because of mag capacity and he couldnt get 10 round mags. Luckily this old Kentucky hillbilly doesnt have them issues. I only have 500 rounds thru mine but its been perfect. Like you i have a TX22 and i like the P17 better. But my wife likes the P17 more than I, so you know who has the gun now. Impressive on round count without cleaning. Take care sir.

I got this for my wife. It was 189 I think. She did not like .45 or the 9mm. She loves the .22LR. I guess it's better than nothing .

    Good video 👍
Suppressed high velocity 22lr will be about 140db.
Suppressed subsonic 22lr is about 115 db, which is quiet.

I read somewhere somebody said it was made from "glass filled nylon". When I first saw it, I thought, man, that's one "ugly" gun and I'd NEVER buy one. When mine came in, it did ship with 3 mags but they were 10 rounders, not 16 (musta been a libafornia model). I ordered 2 -16 rd mags from Keltec. This is my everything gun, its the only one I carry. It likes CCI and Aguila best.

I have only two .22 rimfire pistols and they are only for practice, training, plinking, small game, and varmint control. A Heritage Rough Rider single action cowboy revolver and a Phoenix Arms HP22A single action auto. $157 and $125 respectively. $282 total investment and I did some DIY work on them to improve them without spending on aftermarket parts. I prefer the single action hammers because the triggers break cleaner than striker pistols. At one time long ago I did have a Smith 422 (internal single action hammer) for bowling pin matches but I don't shoot matches anymore so I don't need a target .22 rimfire. Now just these two budget reliable and accurate .22 rimfires are good enough without being more expensive and precise target pistols. Thanks for sharing.

After 3 P17s and a Taurus TX22C, i never had a jam or misfire after 1500 rounds, but i clean every gun i shoot after range day. Preacher how about a review of the RIA TM22? Another tack driver fun gun.

Howdy Preacher. Glad that you had such success with that pistol. I have a couple .22 semi-automatic pistols, and enjoy them a lot. None with the magazine capacity that yours has, but that’s okay. I have a Ruger Standard Automatic that my Dad bought for me when I was 20; and a Browning Micro- Buckmark. They are both a lot of fun. I have several magazines for each, so it’s not so bad with 9 or 10 round capacity. At least until it’s time to reload all the magazines. But I have a loader that makes it go quicker. May God Bless and keep you and yours safe. Take care, brother.

Mags are easy loading after break in, also easier with a 3d mag loader

I've had my P17 for about two months and I'm at right around 500 rounds so far. Got it for a rehab gun to learn to shoot with again after getting my wrist put back together. So far I've had three fail to feed on the first mag, and several fail to fire over the course of shooting so far. I attribute those to rim fire reliability issues. Fed those rounds again and all but one of them popped. It's been a reliable little gun so far for me and is a great way to get my wrist used to shooting again.

Look up the saami pressure specs on the 22lr,its surprising that most people think its so low pressure which its not

Interesting point. 24000 psi. I have never looked it up before because I don't reload it obviously. That is certainly more than I expected, although that is still not that high of a PSI. Also I doubt most of the standard plinking ammo is loaded anywhere close to that max.
