When I read all the comments here I thought I’m not even going to try to change my headlight bulb, as i haven’t got much patience. I took it to my local motoring shop, they fitted it in a couple of minutes, when I saw how easily he did it, I wished Id tried myself to be honest. The guy did have small hands though, which helps!
Nooo, this is way too much work for the replacement of the bulbs. For the battery side, just loosen the battery and push it to the side a little bit. Then you can easily access the cap where the bulb is behind. But a great guide on how to remove the headlights!👍
I like your videos but you don't need to remove bumper on any Avensis models to replace any light bulbs. I have changes bulbs in t22, t25 and t27. It's right squeeze but it can be done.
@@AzamKhan-ml6wc how? I cheated and only took half the bumper off but still needed to. Those clips at the bottom pull outwards where the bumper is in the way? The H7 is the main issue wedged in there and the one I had to replace. This video saved me heaps of time
its nice that you havent started from removing gas tank :DDD. I change my all front bulbs at it is without removing the bumper or headlamp. left side is a bit harder but its managable.
ps people it is fiddly for some of the bulbs ...but you can change every single bulb including sidelights without removing anything, i have avensis 1.8 vvi 2007 and have changed headlight bulbs, sidelight parking light , indicator bulbs and full beam...without ever pulling bumper or touching any screws or bolts whatsoever... just so you can have peace of mind knowing its at most a 5 minute job to change any of the bulbs.
You're right...back in ancient history in the 1980s, changing a light bulb on cars was easy. In today's and today's new electric cars, such as e.g. Mercedes EQ cars, you can't even open the hood yourself. So the car has to be disassembled from the bottom by hand in order to change the lamp in the front? ps people it is fiddly for some of the bulbs ...but you can change every single bulb including sidelights without removing anything, i have Avensis 1.8 vvi 2007 and have changed headlight bulbs, sidelight parking light , indicator bulbs and full beam...without ever pulling bumper or touching any screws or bolts whatever... just so you can have peace of mind knowing its at most a 5 minute job to change any of the bulbs.
I replaced both main beam bulbs without removing bumper. On the left side, just remove the battery. On the right side, I had to hold the bulb in a special way to fit my size 9 hand in there. The trick was to use right hand index and middle fingers. Not enough space to hold the bulb with my thumb.
You should do a video on replacing the head light bulbs in a Lexus RX400H. The correct way requires removing the bumper, while although you can replace bulbs without removing the bumper, it risks damage to a number of plastic parts, and there are a lot of bulbs compared to the typical every day vehicle. Its not a fun job. 😂 🔧
Yritin vaihtaa oikean puolen missä pesunestesäiliö ja abs jarrrupalikka. Todella ahdas. Jäi se rautalanka huonosti ja jouduin koskemaan polttimoon. Pitää vaihtaa kaikki tolla systeemillä kun ehtii.
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor sorry ,my comment were disrespectful. To change lighrbulb on the left side you have to remove rhe battery. On the right side you dont have to remove anything.
Mulla se rautalanka mikä pitää polttimon paikallaan aiheutti harmia. Sain kotelon kiinni mutta rautalanka pidike jäi huonosti. Pakko tehdä näin kuin videolla. Pitäs olla pienet kädet

Yes you absolutely correct I've changed both front on 2005 avensis without removing bumper
Thanks god, I was hoping Toyota engineers thought this through. I gotta change a bulb and undoing half a car is a daunting prospect to me
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctor Most awesome come-back!

@runthomas hi, I have the same model avensis and struggling with the removal of the bumper. How did you manage without doing so??
Is removal of the bumper a must for replacing the right front main beam bulb?
It helps
@@PeterFinnTheCarDoctorIt helps but idiotic (sorry to say). Change main beam bulb only removing the battery.
yes, everything is very difficult with the right headlight without dismantling it. Thank you. I don't understand how the tronic front park works

Peter are you mad😂 no need for all of that ! Also those bulbs blow I’ve tried them. I think you can get some adapter kit.
