Join us as we explore the highlights of one of Leicester's biggest free festivals, which celebrated its 25th Anniversary! This year, the Leicester Riverside Festival offered fun both on and off the water, with activities spread across Bede Park, Western Boulevard, Castle Gardens, the River Soar, and for the first time, the De Montfort University (DMU) Campus.
On the water, visitors marveled at the colorful boats from across the region, enjoyed exciting demonstrations, and took part in boat trips.
On land, the festival entertained the whole family with a fantastic line-up on the main stage. Food lovers savored a diverse array of quality street food and drinks, including craft ales, lager, cocktails, and more. The Boulevard and Mill Lane were bustling with markets full of unique, hand-crafted gifts, and the railings were adorned with the Art on River gallery, showcasing local talent.
There were plenty of activities for all ages, from arts & crafts to live theatre performances, and the thrill of the funfair. The Leicester Riverside Festival truly had something for everyone, ensuring a memorable and fun-filled weekend for all who attended.
