Pilot House Leicester: £13M Creative Hub
Discover the exciting redevelopment of Pilot House in Leicester, a £13.3 million project transforming heritage buildings into a cutting-edge home for creative businesses. Supported by £8.6m from the Levelling Up Fund and £4.7m from Leicester City Council, this major regeneration effort will open in Spring 2025.
Pilot House will offer 60,000sqft of premium space for start-ups and established firms in the design, tech, fashion, and textile industries. With the potential to create over 250 new jobs, the site will feature co-working spaces, a café, meeting rooms, and more, while preserving key industrial features like parquet flooring and exposed beams.
The project is being managed by Henry Brothers Construction, with the City Council team behind the successful LCB Depot overseeing operations.

Skylights instead of ceiling. With the weather hotting up, the last thing I want is a stifling hot concourse. It seems to be an obsession these days. The restoration of the main entrance is, on the other hand, a worthy project. Leicester, like many places, has lost a lamentable number of fine buildings. I hope it achieves its goal
