It all boils down to players being paid their worth. Aiyuk can't help the fact that he's on the same offense as Kittle. Deebo and CM. When this issue occurs players have to test the market. At the end of the day Aiyuk is our best WR if he's not on the roster, I'm concerned.
Let's not forget who's the number one receiver on the 49ers and who makes incredible blocks for the running game to be as successful. Everybody is underestimating the value of Brandon on the niners.
They’re not sure if he can do it again, which is why they drafted pearsall. The 9ers were willing to move off aiyuk prior to last season and it shows. They’ve invested heavily in too many other positions and still have to pay trent and brock. He’s basically making them pay for not believing in him.
Steelers are playing this smart not overpaying. Khan is saying he won’t go anywhere else you’ll come back and take our deal 😉 if not we’re good without him.
Aiyuk going to suck on the Steelers. If 49ers trade for nothing in return, they may as well exercise his final year and franchise tag him since we won’t accept $26mil a year.
Colin keeps pushing this WR narrative. When more & more teams including the superbowl champions are showing you how much they value the WR position. Almost every playoff team had a stud wideout minus KC (but they had Kelce) n Bal
Face it: the analyst who ride or die for measurables and height and all the fluffy stuff can’t give Purdy credit…if they do it means they are all idiots and are looking for the wrong things in QBs when they draft. Purdy just had his first full season and had zero off season due to his injury. He will improve.
Even if it did, the 49ers manage to draft one of the other ones. Aiyuk was the only true receiver they drafted since TO. Yes, we suck at drafting WRs. But we also suck at drafting pretty much every skill position.
Ok, y’all are looking at this in a vacuum. The outside factors matter. 1. The Niners have honored multiple players trade requests for the past three years..even with players under contract. Lynch has publicly said if a player wants to move on there’s no point in keeping them where they don’t want to be. Since BA has watched this front office behavior for years with multiple players there was no reason to think the Niners wouldn’t honor HIS trade request also. 2. BA has been a model player for 4 seasons. When Kyle and John publicly criticized him for taking plays off and not being a professional (which TRUE leaders don’t publicly excoriate players, they do it in private) did he complain and act out? NO. He put his nose to the grindstone, got out of the doghouse, and became the best WR on the team. The NUMBER ONE threat on the team. He doesn’t miss games, shows up every play, runs every route sharp, does everything asked on the field, shows up for camps in shape and ready to go even when other vets (that got paid) take off….and NOW you don’t wanna pay him? After paying the WR who drops passes, takes plays off, always misses games to injury, and doesn’t report to camp in shape (*cough* Deebo)? After all of that, yeah, I’d take it personally if I were him too. 3. Teams don’t cut players deals. The market is what the market is. If a player underperforms a contract, teams cut the crap out of them. When a player over performs a contract and wants to be compensated, then the player is a Diva if they fight for their market value. 4. The Niners are paying a fullback a ridiculous amount of money. You’ll hook the fullback up with a fatty paycheck but tell ME to give you a discount on MY DEMONSTRATED value? Please. 5. For those who think he’s replaceable…stop kidding yourselves. Deebo can’t do what BA does. pearsall can’t do it either. Purdy and Aiyuk were explosive together. Without Aiyuk, life is going to get MUCH harder for CMC. 6. The Niners front office botched this no matter what way you look at it. Aiyuk made it clear last season he wanted money; they could’ve handled this in February and they didn’t. Market went up. They could’ve handled it during the draft and they didn’t. Market went up. They could’ve handled this before mini camp. They didn’t. Market went up. Yall romanticize the Niners Front Office playing hardball…but the fact is, great front offices stop problems before they become problems. Niners botched the Trey Lance situation from horrible high draft to no rep time, botched the Deebo signing (remember how ugly that got), botched the Bosa signing (remember how Bosa didn’t even have a preseason holding out), drafted a kicker in the third round, took care of CMCs contract but tried to leave Trent Williams out to dry…now HES holding out….and have waited too long to put the BA situation to bed. You wanna blame someone for this mess…blame the Niners Front Office.
@@matthewgerber1930 if you disagree, please take the time to type your response. I didn’t personally attack you. This is football talk, I don’t know you as a person. Please be civil.
I agree with parts of your point. This should have been handled during the draft. They were never going to be able to afford him, at the rate WRs are getting paid. You seem to understand that, but I personally can't hold it against the front office. They already have a bunch of huge deals, are negotiating with Williams and might have to pay Purdy. Purdy's looming contract could be in excess of 60 million annually. So, they never could have matched any of the other new contracts. However, calling him a "model player" while pointing out that Lynch and Shanahan "barrated him in public" is contradicting yourself. They put him in the dog house because he wasn't being a "model player" and I could be wrong, but I don't remember any public bashings of BA. Pearsall has a good chance to replace Aiyuk's role in their system, if he can get healthy. Shanahan knows how to employ WRs, always has.
I like your take, but lets be honest, when you sign a contract, you must honor it. BA should have went to the Browns if he was serious about being traded, that's what the 49ers should have done, even if BA didnt like it. He's being a petty Diva, The 49ers are winning that trade if they get Amari Cooper and 2nd rd pick, BA wana win the trade negotiations and being petty. in my opinion he's not a top 10 receiver, he's just apart of a good system. Put him in a steelers or browns uniform and i bet his stats go drastically down.
I am not going to listen to the podcast, because you know Colin's take is usually some unnecessary bias BS, where he will hate on Brock for a dumbass hat or something, but to answer the question. Will Brock struggle? No, Brock is actually a good QB. Will it be harder? Maybe people forget that we went to the Super Bowl with far less, with no CMC, Aiyuk, or Brock Purdy. We will be alright, just next man up, and thats how we always have been.
John Lynch leads to get fired already… dude is a got dam waste. BA is a luxury but great gms understand value and Lynch is clearly incompetent. Why draft 2 receivers in the draft?
The argument that guys like DJM doing more for his team team than Aiyuk does for 49er's, really doesn't do anything except explain why (outside of this year) trading Aiyuk makes the most sense here. It's also isn't that teams don't want to meet Aiyuk's demands, its that the Niners should have made this deal months ago when more teams had operating capitol. Aiyuk does have leverage, regardless of what the CBA states a team can do with a player.
I wonder if these guys already have a take ready if Aiyuk gets traded. Aiyuk always has the option to sit til game 9 then sleepwalking through 8 games and still be a free agent next year.
When I see Colin and the guy on hat acting mad because a player is forcing his way to get paid at destination he wants to play at. If he was under performing he would have been released already! Niners played with fire and they earned to get burned! Crying out loud as Shanahan apologist won’t be enough to keep Brandon in the Bay! Niners window is closed! To hell with the Clowns of Cleveland 😏
Middlekauff completely ignores Aiyuk's leverage....hold-in! That leverage is actually more powerful than the 49er's leverage of a 5th yr option & 2 franchise tags. The distraction ALL YEAR LONG would be catastrophic and absolutely doom their super bowl aspirations. He is getting traded because he called the niners bluff and his leverage is greater. He can't stand Shanahan and wants to play for Tomlin - a player's coach.

Steelers are playing this smart not overpaying. Khan is saying he won’t go anywhere else you’ll come back and take our deal 😉 if not we’re good without him.
Lmao the Steelers aren’t shit with or without him
@@paulcrow7642 still gonna get
Aiyuk cheap if it goes down. They also have more rings than the 9ers and every other organization.
Fantasy Pros?! 😂 god no! Those guys don’t know shit
The hate is palpable.
There is no I in TEAM, but there is in AIYUK.
Maybe Kyle should start playing like Andy Reid probably win a few super bowls 😂
Colin labeled jimmy G a B to B+ QB because he was handsome and Pats drafted him.
No logic to colins take. 49ers were SB in 2019.
Aiyuk was drafted in 2020. He was a replacement and now will be replaced.
Hahahaha your source was wrong and you are trying to tell yourself he was “probably right” lmao 😂
Aiyuk going to suck on the Steelers. If 49ers trade for nothing in return, they may as well exercise his final year and franchise tag him since we won’t accept $26mil a year.
Guys worth $100 million and he's calling parents who don't their kids to get brain damage "high falutin'"
Simple answer is not they will not struggle.
"B.A is out of here the 49er's drafted Ricky so i will go with the money if i was him personally."
Colin keeps pushing this WR narrative. When more & more teams including the superbowl champions are showing you how much they value the WR position. Almost every playoff team had a stud wideout minus KC (but they had Kelce) n Bal
Mahomes can win with cheap receivers and a 35 year old tight end. Brown at 7 mill is the highest paid WR on the Chiefs this year.
"Get this guy out of herei fast we don't care now or give him his money period."
49ers window has closed, last year was the chance, they’ll be in playoffs but thats it
Face it: the analyst who ride or die for measurables and height and all the fluffy stuff can’t give Purdy credit…if they do it means they are all idiots and are looking for the wrong things in QBs when they draft. Purdy just had his first full season and had zero off season due to his injury. He will improve.
The has a way of winning in ever way if you dont draft right
Lol if they struggle because of a guy who didn’t even catch 100 passes, then stop hyping up this team. It’s the same team we seen pre covid
How many times is Colin going to tell us The “draft gives us 30
Receivers per year”
Dayuuuuum…
Even if it did, the 49ers manage to draft one of the other ones. Aiyuk was the only true receiver they drafted since TO. Yes, we suck at drafting WRs. But we also suck at drafting pretty much every skill position.
He couldn’t wait to come out sheet talking.
Colin don't bring this guy back on your show....ever
49ers are looking at cap hell! 3 great yrs with a $1mm QB. What happens in 2025 when Purdy makes $45mm? 2026?
I'm looking at this from the real world lens and you are out of your gourd, sir, for real.
@@matthewgerber1930 if you disagree, please take the time to type your response. I didn’t personally attack you. This is football talk, I don’t know you as a person. Please be civil.
I’m not reading all that but I’m happy for you or sorry that happened
Dj Moore has not been better then BA 😂😂😂BA was stuck with Jimmy g don’t forget that 😂
Collin looks like he did a line
No we will not ... this guy hates brock
You can delete this video now. BA isn’t leaving! 😂
49ers never making it to another superbowl the next 2 decades now, and the spotlight will be on the overhyped QB play
John Lynch leads to get fired already… dude is a got dam waste. BA is a luxury but great gms understand value and Lynch is clearly incompetent. Why draft 2 receivers in the draft?
Black and yellow
Yes they have better qb than 59rrs that’s why they lost to 9res lol
Amari cooper is 4 years older how is he a good deal with a 2 pick... gtfoh bro
If Aiyuk bolts, Super Bowl could instead become retool.
Colin your a beast but this other guys sucks
Click bait
No fool got too many wepean don't worry
Yep yep
This guy going to tell you how much another man is worth, Not a man I want to listen to.
Not at all.... He is over hyped.
49ERS SHOULD'VE NEVER PAID MCCAFFERY BEFORE AIYUK HE ONLY PLAYED ONE SEASON
CMC is better abd more important
This podcast duo is basically Agreement Theatre. Boring.
Yes. The 49ers will sign Aiyuk. This is just fake media drama. That's why everything seems very hollywood, aka babylonian.
I wonder if these guys already have a take ready if Aiyuk gets traded. Aiyuk always has the option to sit til game 9 then sleepwalking through 8 games and still be a free agent next year.
Deshuan watson 2.0 he don't have too play😆🤣😂
Lmao clearly your biased
