    Great walkthrough! I spent a lot of time on the press boat when they released it at Norris and on a friends’ 2020 SA - siiiick wave + wake. And hands-down the BEST interior in the industry right now. I think quality is on par with Nautique and they thought of everything.
    Standard power tower is great too. I towed the new SA for a couple hours and even though it’s ~1500lbs heavier than our boat, I got better MPG. Way less drag I guess?

      That's what I would think! More aerodynamic? What boat do you have?

      Chantel Herbert 2019 Moomba Craz. Love it but probably will upgrade within a couple years. SA, G21, fi/ri 21/217 are probably are top 3!

      Go SA for sure! Skiers Choice manufacturer has it right, with Supra and Moomba..Great Engineers with history of experience designing competitive boats. If you choose to pocket some cash, don't shy away from new Kaiyen, which is taking place of your Craz.. I second your Nautique choice as well. Thet are great build and performance who set high bar of craftmanship as we most know, yet, that name comes with possible price increase. Some purchase for name/title of boat, while others for performance and personal liking.. (that was a long $.02 personal response, sorry)

    Great video, Chantel! I just got into wake surfing this summer and I have watched all your videos. Can you mention pricing in your videos?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  5 років тому +2

      If you build a boat on the Supra website, you could build it up with all the options you like and it will tell you the MSRP - I would contact your local dealer for actual pricing, though, it can vary depending on where you are in the country and what current deals and rebates are happening. Unfortunately, the new SA isn't up to build on the website (hopefully soon!), but dealers have a tool that they could build one with you!

      Chantel Herbert But we are kinda lazy and want you to just tell us this $130k boat is out of our price range.😂. “Go watch my Axis video or check out a Moomba,” you would say. 😆😆

      Chantel - love your videos. I need you input!
      Looking to purchase a new boat. The only dealer in my area is a Malibu dealer (40 min away in way to lake) All other boat companies are 2.5 hours away which means I would lose 2 full days each time I had a warranty issue (5 hour round trip for drop off and 5 hours for pick up). I work off commission so either not making money during commute or not spending time with family.
      I’m concerned with all the repair issues that I read about on both Malibu and axis boats.
      I want a boat I can keep and enjoy with my family for the next 10-15 years.
      Supra looks awesome and so does centurion.
      I’m I just reading about way more repair issues because Malibu sells so many more boats or is there a notable difference between them and Supra/centurion.
      I love the look of the Supra boats, hear good things about how it rides (minimal bow rise), and quality of wave always seems to be a hard debate to figure out who’s is best.
      What would you do if you were in my shoes and concerned about quality/repair issues and distance to dealer.
      Malibu dealer close by but seems to have more repair issues or Supra/centurion 2.5 hours away?

      Chantel Herbert You do know that inboard boats use truck and car based engine blocks right? The Supra boat uses a Ford Raptor engine block. The 2JZ engine there referring to is used by Toyota Sports car the SUPRA.

      Hi! Thanks for reaching out! I love me a Malibu. They build A LOT of boats, so it's not surprising that you would hear about issues on them. Supra also makes a VERY nice boat. I would say dealer experience is SUPER important, so if the Malibu dealer has a good reputation and takes care of their customers, I think that is great. If not, it may be worth the drive to a dealer you love and will take care of you. Any new boat usually has bugs and kinks to work out, but a lot of them can be taken care of at the break-in service and aren't necessarily a "boat down" issue. We don't sell Centurion, so I can't speak to their reliability, but I do know you'd be stoked with either the Malibu or the Supra.

    Hey Chanel - great video. I'm considering a Supra SA or SL. I see the prices are very similar and the SL is a 23.5 vs 22.5 for SA. I'm looking for the best wake for surfing. I'm told the longer the boat, the longer the wake. Both boats have the similar weight and ballast, so I assume the size of the wakes will be similar. For the bigger/longer wake is the SL a better choice? I had heard that the SA has a redesigned bow (or was it hull?), will that make a difference in the wake?

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  3 роки тому

      Hi Ross! I like the SA a little better for surfing actually. The SL is a bit longer, but it feels like it's more spread out, so it's not quite as tall. They are pretty similar, though, so if you like the space and feel in the SL, you can't go wrong. The bow in the SA is bigger and has seat hinges, so that may sway you as well!

    the driver screens and the software UI reminds me of a iphone knockoff edition kinda similar to Centurion really poorly UI and software design . Malibu and Nautiques have the best screens UI in the industry hands down

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Andrew! It would definitely be the best crossover in the Supra line-up, but I haven't actually tried skiing behind it yet. We just got our first 2020 SR and I'm hoping to try that soon! I will let you know!

    What boat would you recommend between a 21 vlx and San 210? Judging fit, finish, storage, surf performance and overall experience? Thanks!

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому

      I like the 21VLX better - surf wake is killer, storage is well thought out and more modern (no carpet, bigger compartments), ski wake can be good if you get the diamond hull. Both great boats, but I lean towards Malibu on that one. Good luck!

    Great review. Trying to decide between Centurion, Nautique, and Supra for a general purpose boat - surf, wake, rare ski, and pull toys. Can you comment about the ride of the Supra and maybe the fuel efficiency compared to Centurion? Is there any difference in the Supra line of boats other than the lengths? Thanks for the great video reviews and instructions!

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому

      Thanks, Bruce! Supra handles awesome on the water - super comfortable for the driver, great ride for passengers. I've been super impressed with the fuel efficiency - I don't know the stats verses Centurion, but the RPMs are so low, even when surfing, that you don't just burn through fuel like you can on other brands. The SR and the SL (21 and 23) have more of a modified pickle fork that looks a bit more traditional. The SA and the SE (22 and 24) have a true pickle fork. The interior of the SA, SL, and SE are suuuuuuuper similar. The SR is the only one that feels a little different (hasn't been redesigned to be like the others). Good luck in your search!

    What’s your take on an SL or SE vs a G 23 or G 25? Based on the research I’ve done and having ridden and surfed both the Supras actually surf better then the G’s and are much more customizable with the swell system vs the NSS. Better fuel consumption with the Supra as well. The more I dig into it the more I see that the Supra is actually a better boat all around and the price difference of $40k-60k for the G is simply the name? Let me know if I am crazy though.

    • @ChantelBoats
      @ChantelBoats  4 роки тому

      Not crazy. The value in Supra can’t be beat. You can definitely tell they are built by people who boat!! As far as the wake, totally personal preference. Ride both if you can! Both great brands, you can’t go wrong either way.
