    What an inspiring episode! I made my husband watch the lemon meringue segment so we could both drool! Loved all the projects. That tote with the cyanotype is incredible! I will be adding Lakeside Stitches to my library wishlist... stunning! Take care! Thank you for your content.

    The wool Norwegian braid on the sewing kit frames it so well. Your stitching by the water was so peaceful. Thanks Sarah.

    I've been longing to do that Alice Stanmore class too. Her work is stunning. You've also inspired me to research the Marsma sewing pouch. My children all want to make one too. Thank you and I always enjoy your videos.

    I have been sewing my own clothes for over 25 years and I STILL come across "simple" patterns that totally throw me off. All pattern designers use different blocks (or "body types") to draft their patterns. If you can find a sewing company that fits you well stick with them! I myself gave up on Sew Liberated, I LOVE her patterns but they take way to may fit adjustments for my body type. I HIGHLY recommend Helens Closet, especially for newer garment sewists. Her patterns tend to fit a wider range of body types well and her instructions go above and beyond! Good luck, everything you have made so far is lovely! I wish more people sewed their own clothing🥰
    PS I almost always have to raise or lower bust darts. Its is SO easy, check out youtube or sewing bloggers! Helens Closet's blog has loads of great tutorials!

    I want to sew clothes for myself and try often but I feel like my skillset just isn’t there yet. Getting the right flattering fit is just so very hard. Your donuts looked amazing 🤩

    Your marshma is exquisite! I don’t sew but am quite stitching-curious. I’d love it if you offered a tutorial of any kind.

    🌟Dear Sarah, thank you so much for your artful videos. They have just the right variety of different beautiful topics, sewing, knitting, baking, stitching, quilting and the suitable music 🎶 I kind of float trough them and enjoy every minute while knitting.

    Fabulously interesting, Sarah, as always, thank you! All your projects are coming along so splendidly! I was wondering how you determine what you will work on each day? Do you ever feel overwhelmed having so many projects on the go at once?

      Well...sometimes I do get the paralyzed but can shake out of it by prioritizing projects with 15 minute increments if that turns into longer stints great if not..then I move on. I will also note that a majority of my knitting happens in the evening ;)

    Hope you manage to sort out the problems with the shift dress, the toile looked really lovely especially the piece of indigo fabric you used. Thank you for the book revue, it looked very tempting so I’m off to look for it from a UK suppplier.

      @@FiberTrek I found it on Amazon but unfortunately it’s rather expensive about £35 so I might leave it till I can afford it or it comes out in paperback. It’s gone on my wish list so you never know.

    So many gorgeous projects! Loved your baking this week (well, always) - what kind of cake was the base? And your stitching outside. Sitting here on the rainy oregon coast this morning, noticing that the rhododendron in the back yard has just started showing the color of the blooms. Saw my first-of-the-season wild bloom earlier this week. Loved your shots of stitching outside by the lake.

      The donuts are from the Cake & Loaf cookbook. The base is a buttermilk kinda of batter. It was very light and cakey. Hope all is well in Oregon!

    Thank you for so many ideas for new projects and beautiful completed projects you shared. Funny question....I noticed your huge drop leaf table in your kitchen you use for many projects. You don't have much clearerce but it sure gives you needed workspace. My kitchen is micro size and thinking of doing the same thing! Does it bother you much not having walkway space or do you enjoy the counter space and proximity more so it doesn't matter? Thank you so much for everything again!!!❤❤❤

    • @FiberTrek
      @FiberTrek  2 місяці тому

      I would say it doesn't bother me that much...but I'm not negotiating lots of traffic in the kitchen on a regular basis. I have found that the fact it's on wheels can be alleviate some of that issue as well.

    Lovely podcast. May I ask who sings the song in the intro?
