Car Radio touch screen replaced for 12 dollars

  • The radio in my car had become useless since the touchscreen failed, it was a major part of the cars features for navigation, hands free cell phone and music, along with status messaging from the various systems in the car.
    It is important to me to have this working, so I opened up the radio and replaced the screen
    The store I purchased this is on Ebay and they have changed the link to the part I purchased but the store is called Hanchigodauto and it seems that they sell OEM parts that are not normally offered by the dealer

    Finally got around to doing this on my scirocco.
    One question though...I have a bit of a yellow halo around the edges of the screen. Any idea what might cause this? Overtightening of the unit?

      Metal frame Might be too tight, I left mine a bit loose

      when the metal frame is screwed down around the screen, it doesn't need to be very tight
