  • This is just a simple review of Rockville's 4 gauge copper (Cu) amplifier install kit. Street price of $49 and well worth it. This is not a ghetto-arse amp install kit like you find for $20 on Amazon or Ebay. This is outstanding quality and definitely worth the extra coin that you should spend on it.
Rockville's web page for the kit...

They offer kits in different gauges and you should check them out, regardless of what brand amplifier you are installing. The cabling and install of the gear can make (or break) the performance of your gear so do it right!

So, I was at a car audio shop today, looking for a little bit more 4 gauge wire to do 'the big three' and none of that shop's wire was even close to the quality of this set. The 4 gauge wire here from Rockville had just as much (or more) actual metal (all copper here) as their 0 gauge. Absolutely worth the money and a I will be buying more!

From $40 to $60. Definitely a price increase now in 2023 but what hasn't gone up right 😞

I’ve got a bunch of wire I out outside on my board for environmental testing (been a little over 3 months so far) so we shall see how much silver tinning actually helps

Haha! I had forgotten about this video... That amp kit was darn good for the price. I have since replaced most of it with 1/0 welding wire to keep up with much more potent amplifiers. I know folks been all hatey over the Rockville stuff, but their products really aren't too bad...though their marketing technique sure needs work.

Have you hooked up your system yet

I did, but have since switched everything out to a more powerful system with different amplifiers. Still using some of this wire kit but ran 1/0 OFC welding wire as primary and the 4ga as secondary to two amps and also as ground bolstering straps throughout the car. Same Rockville subs tho and they still play great!

@@jrcliff5 Nice! The K6s are a great value! I went with Soundqubed amps cus I couldnt find a suitable 1ohm stable amp from Rockville.

Yeah the db series is 2ohm stable and I have heard bad things about the phenom series

Christopher Ingrassia the db series dynos more power than rated and I have had no problems with them at all but they are very power hungry as fo the phenom series I have heard that they are pron to catching on fire and or just quit working now I personally have no first hand experience with them

It was very good quality cable. Not much to update on. If you are in the market for amplifier install kits, this kit is still available at rockvilleaudio.com (i do not represent them, but i've bought a lot of Rockville gear and it has all been a good value.)
