This Video gave me the insight I needed to actually get started learning Live 2D. This is a Good Brief of what you need to go through and need to know when rigging your Vtube Model. I'll be using this as a Reference a lot. Thanks for this
Hi! Can I ask how long it took you to draw the model and how long in took you to rig the whole model even after this video? I am thinking about getting into vtube spaces so you answer will help me understand what I’m getting into. Thank you in advance!
@@DeyuYuso hi! Time really depends on your own workflow and speed. Drawing the model doesn’t really take much longer than drawing a regular picture for me but I space it out over a couple of days to reduce pain flare ups in my drawing hand. If I were to sit down and draw the model from sketch to fully coloured it might take 5-8 hours. Rigging is a bit more time consuming for me as I’m still very new to it. I can’t say exactly how many hours it took as I didn’t really keep track, but probably roughly around 10-15 hours, doing 2-4 hours a day? For this model I haven’t done much after this video as I haven’t had time, but previous models I’ve done maybe a couple of hours worth of little tweaks now and then. I’m not the most observant person so even now I see things on past models and go back and fix things 😂 I’d say have a go and see how things go! Live2D has a free trial (I was able to make 3 models in the trial time) and there are loads of step by step tutorials on UA-cam to follow for rigging and setting up on vtube studio 👍 honestly if someone with 1 brain cell like me can do it anyone can
@@runefaire thank you so much for your answer! Almost 24 hours(non-stop) on a model? Now I’m scared =,3 But I really like your model, and tell your doggie I said hi!
@@DeyuYuso haha thank you! And don't worry, you don't really notice the time it takes it is a lot of fun. Seeing each part start to move in the preview window gave me motivation to finish the next part and see it come to life :D but I do also tend to hyperfocus and want to finish things ASAP lol
