The guitarist with the red hair is called Michael Amott. Before he started Arch Enemy he was in a band called Carcass, and they were the band that pretty much invented the melodic death metal genre. The two albums he did with Carcass in the early 90's are absolute classics. The guy is a bit of a legend in the extreme metal community. Arch Enemy used to make melodic death metal, but there's not really much death metal left in their songs nowadays. Check out Carcass song Heartwork for the origins of this sub-genre.
i was born in the same city as alissa, montreal. about 10 years ago, when she was still in the agonist and not that well known, i used to chat with her almost every night on facebook. she was very active on her facebook wall and chatted with everyone almost every night.
Mastodon - blood and thunder The black dahlia murder - I will return Lamb of God - laid to rest Gojira - the art of dying (And the technically brutal) Beneath the Massacre- treacherous
Alissa is the only chick in the band! She is a really talented screamer and as she show in their song "Reason to believe" she is also a great singer. I know some of the technical of screaming(because I am a vocalist and have been for 2yrs now) and it does not hurt at all. It actually kinda feels like humming except you feel little to none vibration under the Adam's apple and there is slightly more pressure. The technique that she is using is know as "fry screaming" it is were the vocal cords are close to closed and air goes through the slit making a buzzing/static noise and then becomes more distorted because it make the false cords and the aryteniod cartilage flap around and then it resonate on the soft palate. It took me about a half a year to learn to do it and it is perfectly safe as long as you warm up, keep your throat relaxed, and don't overwork yourself(When your tired it can be dangerous because then you tend to put more pressure on your throat). If you have any more questions feel free to ask me!
I’m not gonna repeat what a billion other people are saying lol! However, a metal/rock band will typically have 2 guitarists: a lead and a rhythm. 1 bassist, 1 drummer, and 1 vocalist. The combinations are varied, sometimes the vocalist does clean vocals AND screaming, other times a different member will provide different vocals in recording. Also very common for the vocalist to be a full time guitarist, usually the rhythm guitarist is the lead vocals, but for example Skillet’s lead singer is the bassist as well and they have 4 members. Basically 2 guitars, lead and rhythm + the bass guitarist.
The singer is the only woman. The others are guys with long hair. Sounds like your kids want to go to a metal show. After the COVID-19 lockdown ends, you'll have to check out what's coming to your area. And again, no. Metal shows aren't dangerous
Arch Enemy is a melodic death metal band so her vocals are majority unclean. She's the only female in the band also check out her old band The Agonist if you wanna hear her sing.
Most bands with growls don't have clean vocals. Look into Melissa Cross. Vocal coach who teaches famous singers to do it without injury to their voice. And thanks for the no solo interruptions rule repsecting :)
Checked out your Arch Enemy reaction ok the vocalist is Alyssa White Gultz former vocalist of The Agonist. Curious about her vocals from the Agonist - official music video Thank you Pain for Arch Enemy official video The World Is Yours / Nemises live Waken Festival 2016 P.s. Kreator Enemy of God
If you guys check out a song by Kamelot- liar, liar. Alissa does a guest appearance on the song and she both growls AND sings. So you guys could check out her singing voice properly too! Awesome song aswell great clean and heavy vocals
Seen them live, they are awesome! Seeing them again April 30th in Worcester MA. Alissa used to be in a band called The Agonist. You should react to the song Panaphobia by The Agonist.😁
Dude you need to check out earlier Arch Enemy with Angela Gossow. The vocalist you are seeing now is Alissa White-Gluz and while she's up there with Tatiana, you haven't seen anything until you check out Angela. Jinjer are one of my top 5 bands and while you'd think I'd be biased I'm not, Angela is another breed. I first saw a video of her back in 2007 and it was the first time I'd ever heard a female do those heavy vocals, fair to say I was blown away, just like hearing Jinjer for the first time. Angela was/is one of the best heavy vocalists out there Including men not just women, She just sounds so brutal it's almost scary. You should check out "Arch Enemy - Dead Eyes See No Future Live in Tokyo 2008" Here's a link. Respect from The UK, 0121! 🤘🏼 ua-cam.com/video/6Kvdmg3z3eM/v-deo.html
The only video I know about (though, admittedly; I haven't searched for them) where the band members break their guitar(s), is Green Days melt down at an I Heart concert some years ago, where they got shafted on their air time. They broke their shit, stepped off stage and then the lead singer (also guitarist, can't be bothered to give a crap about his name (not a fan, just a funny moment in a montage)); goes to rehab after.
I really like Arch Enemy I just think it's very unfortunate that they don't let her do her cleans like she did me Agnes she has some of the most amazing cleans there are
if you didn't quite like it, i would suggest you react to her old band ''The Agonist" and i would suggest a song like "thank you pain" or "and Their Eulogies Sang Me to Sleep''
And I don't know if it helps to the vocals but she is vegan then she went on one of those shows that with the X Factor America's Got Talent and Son Bohemian Rhapsody and I don't mean she growled it I mean she sang it
Alyssa White-Gluz, the vocalist can also sing in a clean voice, she used to with her former band The Agonist. In Arch Enemy it all the growls all the time though, no clean singing whatsoever. She uses Fry Screams, which is a technique that does not harm the vocal chords.... It's a bitch to learn how to do correctly though
All due respect, it will benefit you to do some research on the band and its members before jumping into a song blind. Also, if a band has more than one guitarist there will be a lead guitar and rhythm guitar.
Your daughter should be present when you react to the band Straight Line Stitch - Black Veil music video, the song is called Black Veil, you won't be disappointed it's a band which also contains a female vocalist.
Since you differently like this song your daughter she might like arch enemy song called the eagle flies alone You're really really liking a female fronted bands checkout spiritbox any song buy them well worth it the rest of the band in spirit Box is men the lead singer is a woman and then the rest of the band are all men but it's cool optical illusion
When it comes to heavy metal music i strongly recommend people start first with viewing music videos before watching live performances. In some of the various live performances the sound might not be as clear and brilliant as it is in the studio version and additionally therewith the way musicians intended for it to sound, therefore i hereby emphasize people view metal music videos first of the particular metal band, thereafter you can progress to live shows. Another important factor is it depends on the particular live show, metal bands do a large variety of live concerts, festivals and so forth whereby the sound emerging from the instruments and additionally vocals are excellently magnificent, however in a few other live shows the sound might be abysmally appallingly horrendous depending on who shot it. If a cellphone was used to film then obviously the sound quality would suck, it should be a professional pro shot, you'll never know how it sounds until you listen to it.
Do you need glasses? Greate reaction but dude get some help or a white stick! Alissa can sing clean but this is death metal. This is growl, you dont use your vocal cord. Check out the same song but live in Japan 2008 Michael Amott one of the best in the world and so are Jeff Loomis. Daniel Erlandsson is dope and Sharlee D'Angelo also.
This makes my throat hurt. I need a whole jug of water, lol. Please tell me the only members that are female are the lead singer and maybe the drummer? That concert looks so lit though tbh
The singer is the only female those are all dudes! I promise you lol!! 😂
That's what I thought, not a fan of theirs but was laughing my ass off at "all ladies".
😆😆😆.....
Accidentally called the rest of the band ladies. I spit my drink across the room

She is a very good clean singer. Her style is called vocal fry distortion.
i was born in the same city as alissa, montreal. about 10 years ago, when she was still in the agonist and not that well known, i used to chat with her almost every night on facebook. she was very active on her facebook wall and chatted with everyone almost every night.
Growling isn't for everyone. I've been listening to growls and screams in music since I was about 14 or so. To me its just another form of singing.
Mastodon - blood and thunder
The black dahlia murder - I will return
Lamb of God - laid to rest
Gojira - the art of dying
(And the technically brutal)
Beneath the Massacre- treacherous

The bans is from Sweden. The singer, Alissa, is from Canada.
I like "Bloodstained Cross" by Arch Enemy with their original frontwoman, Angela Gossow. Give it a try.
My guy didn't just call Arch Enemy an all female band! haha react to Nemesis Wacken open air. Arch Enemy are a killer band

You should check out the singer's previous band The Agonist. Same style as Jinjer, clean and growl vocals.
More AE guys! Thanks for reacting... 🤘
Since you're a fan of drummers check out daniel erlandsson he is the drummer for arch enemy and hes a beast.
The singer is the only woman. The others are guys with long hair.

Arch Enemy - Under Black Flags We March (with original lead vocal Angela Gossow) PLZ !!!!
Arch Enemy has been around since 1996-1997.

The only place I've ever heard of jinjer is these reaction videos. Seems like without them no one would know who they were.
"that aint a lady" had me dying 😂
