Twin-electric engined trike by Manfred Ruhmer

Hello E-flight friends,
In August some Austrian friends were with me at the Icaro landing area in Laveno (Italy) and then have also made this nice video of my E-trike prototype.
As you can see the whole thing works very well and the performance is perfectly adequate for a short take off.
With the large area the trike flies relatively slowly.
I will keep you informed about the progress of this superb machine.

Nice design, simple and more fun with 2 seats. Twin motors get cleaner air and better cooling than traditional trike.

Nice Trike but, I would have liked to see some specs on the trike.. Battery size and weight. Power and consumption of the motors, Fly time on a full charge, etc. It's probably smooth and quiet but the stupid music was annoying ,,

What is the benefit of going with twin engines rather than one? Seems one could achieve the same with one engine and thus more aerodynamic. Was a really fun video to watch with all that close ground flight. I do have interest in eventually purchasing an electric trike. Just waiting for some more selections to choose from. Would rather go with minimal setup simply to serve as launch mechanism, and then have fairly decent soaring capability. I look forward to the updates.

I like your trike wing, it is very similar to the one I made for the larger MIA Robo and Dual Pilot RC models. How much of a tail keel to wing pocket offset do you have on yours? seems to be quite small as the wing is also very tightly tensioned and controlled.

Looks marginal and not very much thrust??

Not nearly enough power. And what happens if one engine fails? You'd get asymmetrical thrust. So marginal power, a tendency to turn on engine failure and almost no climb = death trap.
