You brought my idea to life! They look great! Those tiny ones looked difficult af! The molds look great, I'm glad they worked out! Cant wait to see more
It was a great idea! My friend MetalAndGraphite sent me those molds as a surprise and when I opened it and saw the diamond it reminded me of your comment on the treasure chest video! Maybe he saw your comment and made it happen 🤔 Maybe you could say that I need some giant coin molds next 😂 Thanks again, I appreciate you my friend!
Welcome back, I missed your videos. Hope everything is ok and you were just too busy with work. If I was pouring into the tiny molds, the metal would probably be encasing the entire mold. 😏Take care.
Hi Leslie, I missed you, I’m okay I’ve just been buried with work. Im doing my best to get back on schedule, I’ll get there I promise. Those tiny molds were tricky for sure. I’ll try not to be away too long next time 🙂
I was thinking, do you think it might be easier to pour if you used a smaller crucible? Especially for the teeny ones? Just a thought. I hope you're having a great year so far. ☺️
It probably would have been easier, but I looked at the amount of the leftovers and how they would fit in the smaller crucible, so I took the easy way out in that regard, which made it more difficult to pour from the bigger crucible. But you’re right for sure. My year has been pretty crazy so far, this my lack of melting and posting, but I’m hoping to ramp back up. I hope you are doing wonderful as well Tracy!
@@TheGrowingStack My year has been crazy as well. My Dad just died. He was so young, only 67. There is so much to do after someone passes. It's more stressful than you can EVER imagine. I have a twin sister. We are in it together, so that helps. Do you know what else helps? Your videos. It's nice that I can take my mind off of all this craziness. You help more than you know. Just with great videos. I can't thank you enough!!! ☺️
@@tracybowling1156 I’m so sorry to hear that Tracy. I wish you and your sister the best in these difficult times and I’ll keep you in my thoughts. Thank you, and you give me motivation to get off my butt and get to work to keep the videos coming. Love ya my friend…
The problem with smaller moulds with shallow pointy corners is that the metals viscosity doesn't always flow into them as you'd like. Copper tends to work better than an aluminium alloy for this, but the window of opportunity for it to work is limited due to the metal cooling from the moment it's taken out of the forge. Not a bad effort, though.
@@TheGrowingStack That's good to here mate. As I have to do my casting outside, over the winter I have been collecting pewter and melting that in the kitchen, You really don't want to know what happened when the molten pewter hit a really cold mould! (that was a rookie mistake! 🤦♂)
@@PBRJOHN684 Oh no, I can only imagine brother. I hope it didn’t get you too bad, and I’m sure the kitchen must have been a sight! Be careful my friend, I don’t want anything bad happening to you.
Can we buy molds and have them shipped to you? Might be an easy way to get free molds, at least one or two from me for sure. The double-sided ones look awesome.
I’m sure you could from his Etsy store and ask him to ship them to me. I would be in total appreciation, more than I already am for you always checking out the videos. I really do appreciate you, I just want you to know that. The double sided ones are pretty cool for sure. Thank you Sinaka, you’re awesome as always!
I just talked to him and he set up a 10% discount through the end of March. Not that you have to by any means, but I wanted to share the link. 👍 www.etsy.com/shop/MetalAndGraphite?coupon=TGS10
Bro, please please please do not use a wire brush on graphite molds, please use a stiff horse hair brush to clean up. Wire puts scares and even deep groves into them and will cause them to not release, as a cad welder for copper and aluminum wire, I have had to sacrifice molds that others did that to them.
Of all the comments I get on here as far as help or hate(and you can imagine how some of them lean…) thank you for the tip! I appreciate that very much and I’ll get some new brushes for the molds! Thank you Michalle! 👍👍

Hey brother !! how are you my friend??? hope all is well... I am no expert and havent actually walked this path.. but it seems to me perhaps zinc would be better to use when pouring something small or items that need high detail.. you could always cheat and remelt it in the mold or heat it back up in the mold with your torch to get them to fill in properly if it cools off to fast... but great video and i would agree with some others here on an item... maybe use a smaller crucible to have better control of the pour and perhaps heat it between pours on the small molds so it does not firm up so quick. loved the video.. the diamond molds are great and that's a great friend to send ya those.. but cool you paying back.. much respect.. be well and stay safe brother... catch ya on the next one. would love to see some more sand casting or the creative pours that you did .. like the orbz and such...
Thanks brother! Yeah, the zinc would have been a great choice. I’ll give them another run one of these days and toss some zinc in there. I actually did a small sand cast yesterday for the next video that was pretty fun. Thank you as always, love your comments, and I’ll see you very soon on the next one. 👍

They came out pretty nice, I like the detail of the diamond, you could see the facets especially when you buffed them out. Nice job all in all.
I love the larger diamond.
What a coincidence! I was just thinking of when your video was gonna be!😊
Once again, compliments on making the intro music.
And now to watch the rest of the video!
Thank you! The music is one of my favorite parts, especially when I don’t get the castings just right 😉👍
Zinc would look great in those molds
Very true, zinc would have turned out beautiful in those. I’ll do some more one of these days and use some zinc 👍

P.S. I like that giant coin idea
Great music
Great job
Great video
Ty for sharing
Thank you! I appreciate that very much! 👍
I'm early! 😊 Perfect before bed! Feel this is gonna be a good one!
I think Aluminum and Die Cast Alloys would also be very pretty.💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
They would turn out really pretty, I’m sure I’ll be using these babies again. Thanks Norma Jean!!
Great melt and pour. The small ones would be a pain, but you handled it pretty well.
These molds are freaking legit broski
Thanks brother!
Great job bro!
typing with only 1 arm. Had surg on left side. Loved this vid as always ! Keep them coming !!
Thank you Lisa! I hope you are recovering well and doing good. It’s good to hear from you! Love your support!
Nice work! 👍
I purchased his "Bee" mold and love it!
New sub here great stuff really enjoy the channel
I was thinking the small ones would be kinda difficult 😅.. Great video. Turned out sweet
The small ones definitely were fun. They look great if I could actually pour properly! 😂 Thank you my friend!

You have to remember the scrap they they came from. I'll bet they would look nice if you were using cleaner materials to start with.
Might have better luck with a smaller crucible for the small diamonds. Other than that the ones that turned out good look amazing.
What about a vibrating table to shake the molten metal into the details 🤷🏻♂️ or some way to vibrate it
Would like to see if you can make a flask, what ever size what ever shape...
Please do videos regularly
I love copper. Try some bronze if you can.

maybe keep the crucible size and use a pouring ladel
I thought that might be a good option, but I didn’t have anything at the ready to use for the ladle, but that seemed like a great idea 👍

I couldn’t agree with you more, you hit the nail on the head. 👍
Somehow I missed this one. Do you think the molds are too subtle and you should just use zinc?
I wanted to see what I could do with the aluminum bronze and copper. I should have just used zinc though for the detail.
Oooooo me likes! but I dose hate small moulds especially when I use a crucible over 1 kilo Excellent episode mate 👍 How is you finger doing?
Thanks John. The small ones very fun and challenging that’s for sure. Finger is good to go. No burns lately so that’s a plus! 👍
