Hello again everyone! I hope you enjoyed this video! The copper and brass mix didn’t come out as well as I’d hoped but I absolutely love the zinc. Not everything works out as planned but that’s ok. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you all next week for more!
That new one is sick and I need one! I have enough molds to sit around it like you did to keep it from running off. Recessing it down into a mold would Probly mess with the side of the design yea? I’m also going to need the skull with guns coin mold as well lol. Good stuff brother! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Well considering I mixed it with copper and solder it kinda pours like mud. I didn’t want to overheat the zinc either. I should have melted the copper and brass separately. Oh well
Video pretty much proves what I've learned over the years. Brass, not to be poetic, is a pain in the ass. Very tight temp range for pouring, too cold and it goops up like it did here, too hot and it burns and outgasses all kinds of nasty shit you shouldn't breathe. Zinc on the other hand is a joy. Turns to water at a relatively low temp and can get in all the nooks and cranny's of detailed molds.
Man I really need to find some zinc- it looks like it pours beautifully! I just moved and my forge is still packed away so I'm happy I can melt vicariously through your videos 😊
5:05 🤣 I had to laugh at your dramatic explosion! 10:25 I'm someone who carefully cleans & seasons my cast iron skillets so the sight of that 😱lol I love how the zinc stuff always comes out pristine! Looks awesome 🤩
Great video. The zinc pours were superb and the new mound is pretty darn cool. The copper and brass melt looked like it was not hot enough. To be honest, I thought that the Monster was kicking your butt and making you shaky. All in all, great job. Always a learning experience. Cheers 🍻
I love the Zinc ones the best. Especially the big one. They were nice and shiny. Once you cleaned up the copper ones they looked a lot better than before lol
Awesome video again Adam! The zinc is so beautiful! I wonder why copper and brass don’t get along in the heat? Anyway, they cleaned up nice and it was cool to see you stick with your pour and pull it off. Looking forward to next week brutha!
Loved both the bars bruv killer design and and love the look. Honestly love the mishap pours it just adds an authentic ol'school feel. Thx again man enjoy ur vaca
The copper alloy wasn't quite hot enough when you poured with the metal being too viscous to form proper moulds. Although, the resultant ones came up ok once you'd cleaned and polished them up.
Awesome stuff! The Zinc ones came out very good. I like casting Zinc, the electric furnace is great for lower melting point metals that you don't want to overheat 👍👊
Time to reset the date on the official ArtByAdrock "It's been 0 days since the last melting injury" sign. Sorry dude. Chicks dig scars? My wife gives me "the look" when it happens to me now.
I don’t know why water circulatory aren’t mandatory in new homes. People don’t realize how much cold water is wasted down the drain just waiting for the hot water to arrive. Having a water circulator would help with tremendously with water wastage.
You gave the impression that you made the graphite mold for the Chinese demon face yourself? I have a plastic model of Han Solo in carbonite which is about an inch wide, four inches long and a half inch deep which I've been casting mini ingots in using sand. I'd love to get a graphite version so if I were to send it to you could you scan and make a mold of it? You could make copies for yourself for your trouble and casting Han Solo in copper, silver or if you've got the budget, gold, would make for an awesome video.
the tool you have melted is not clean and not pure brass and copper for this the liquid become hard a little next time use tool a little bit clean to melt
Dross, not slag. Looks like you were a just under the proper pouring temp. with the copper. What is keeping you from closed mold (2 sided molds) with coins?
Thanks buddy.. it might have helped a little but not a lot. I should have done the metals separately instead of mixing them all together. Copper, brass, solder, and junk isn’t the best to combine together 🤷🏻♂️

How do you like the new place? Looks like you live on the East side of town. Definitely more quiet than the NW side.
I like it. Much different than summerlin area though

I've the exact same issue you had with molding brass. Do you know what caused this on your coins?

I love the way zinc looks when it comes out of a mold. That new mold is dope af.
Those Zinc coins turned out pretty dope not gonna lie. :)
That stack is looking real nice Adam!
Mate, that new mould is just beautiful. You've definitely pushed the limit there.
Another great melt. Smart using the electric furnace for the Zinc, as you don't want to overheat it and have those nasty Zinc fumes.
That’s exactly why I use the electric for zinc 👍🏻
Love the look of that big brass casting, looks like something straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. Keep up the nice work!!
Love the way the big one came out in zink would look great in my display cabinet
All in all, I think they all turned out real well! Nice job!
Great video as always thanks ArtByAdrock👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁😁😃😃
Came out great, zinc is always nice, very fluid and fills the spaces

Like how zinc fills in everything

Just finished catching up on your vids, now to kick back and chill (after some much needed sleep...lol) until your next one and BigStackD's as well.
I love the coins and the way they came out perfectly without being modified (the silver colour ones)
Awesome video again Adam! The zinc is so beautiful! I wonder why copper and brass don’t get along in the heat? Anyway, they cleaned up nice and it was cool to see you stick with your pour and pull it off. Looking forward to next week brutha!

Were you drunk when you poured dude that was funny 😂😂
i love to use zinc pours nicely and great detail
The zinc ones were so much better. Luv the detail in the oriental gentleman.would love to see you do a dragon in the same size as the oriental guy.
Great Video!! Those are Awesome!! 👍😁
Brass and copper one's wasn't too bad after clean up and the zink turn out really good thanks for sharing
The copper alloy wasn't quite hot enough when you poured with the metal being too viscous to form proper moulds. Although, the resultant ones came up ok once you'd cleaned and polished them up.
I have noticed on many melt videos that brass seems to harden quickly while pouring.
What's up Adrock? Zinc came out sweet! The other junk not so much! ✌
Awesome stuff! The Zinc ones came out very good.

Always love watching you do what you do. But IMHO I would remelt the brass pieces that didn't work out. But as usual the other parts was BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks for sharing
Craftsman!!
wow very nice they came out spot on man :)
Love your vids. First comments as well yea yea

the problem with the copper pour was because you had too small amount of copper in a too large cruicable so it cool down very quick
The zinc ones came out perfect! Wonder why the other ones didn’t? Could the metal have been impure?
Cool 😎✌️✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome video as always dude iv just messaged you an idea about pouring that big detailed mold of yours which might help if all goes well
Can you remelt the failed brass ingot and skull into a better one next time

Beware of tetanus, I hope the vaccine is up to date! :) Excellent video as always. Hello from France.
Can I use metal molds for sand casting and get good definition
Why melt the brass in with the pure copper? Why not keep separate when possible and keep copper at bullion purity?
Cool molds, too bad about the brass.
What is that yellow residue left on the molds? It looks almost like sulfur.
Could there have been something mixed in with the copper that was causing it to not pour easily or could it have used more time?
There was a lot of solder on the copper and mixing different alloys isn’t the best idea. I should have done them separately
Why did you not trim the edges?
Is there a color difference between aluminium and zinc? They look the same to me. Do you stamp the back of the ones you keep?
How can you melt in this freaking miserable heat ?
It’s brutal let me tell ya. 🥵

always wear a gloves to protect your hands from cutting them
to bad i couldn't buy some of the stuff from you
If cut wound is caused by old rusted metal, then you need to take Tetanus Injunction within 24 hours. 👍
My friend told me it was 114 in Vegas that's too hot. I was there for the 123 degree day years ago. Oops minor spill.
Will you purdy please with copper on top please melt down a aluminum tire rim... PLEASE????
I watch all your videos!! Been with you a long time. What machine do you use to cut your graphite coin molds??? It would save me a lot of money!
I use millright power carve. I don’t think it would save you money though as it’s very expensive unless you find a used one. Around 5k new
Make the impressions deeper.
Hey how much propane do you use to run the furnace? I'm thinking about trying casting for some stuff and was wondering about the costs business wise.
Depends on the metal you’re melting but typically no more than a couple bucks.
Is the new mold for sale on your web store?
That one is not as it takes a very long time to make. Maybe eventually but not now. It would also cost a lot
can you order custom molds
Email me. When I get back in town I can

I’ve watched you for a few months now and I’ve got to say that your pours need a ton of work.

Sweet zinc coins buddy!
Those brass ones were a bit gloppy coming out of there! LOL
A lil borax help that?
Thanx for a great vid Adam! :D

@@ArtByAdrock Still had a fun time buddy! :D
Nice custom molds there mate, the Zinc ones turned out great. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hi. I really like both colors but the Tin face is my favorite. Why don’t you show how you make the molds. Thanks. Bill
Copper just seems to be a PITA to work with.
pouring a lot of laffy taffy there or something!
Remelt the copper brass mix and make it into a bar
Was that the reason for the poor castings? The brass and copper mix?
Not hot enough. The mix cooled down too quickly into a viscous-like consistency that didn't flow into the moulds quite as well as expected.
