Queen Elizabeth II represented ‘a new era’

Former ITV royal editor Tim Ewart discusses what Queen Elizabeth II represented after the conclusion of the Second World War.
Queen Elizabeth II had her first tour of Australia in 1954 which lasted for two months.
“I think she would have liked to be seen to represent change and a new era,” Mr Ewart said.
“Bear in mind, she was only 27 when she set off on that tour.”
