When I’m stuck on a muddy hill in the rain, I like to ride up those little streams of water. The water washes some of the mud off the tyres so they don’t turn into racing slicks.

when you ride in mud and rocks the water is always the best place to be traction control is a wast of time, peters comment is spot on.

I bought the '23 in March and found the suspension a bit harsh to start with. I actually changed to the comfort settings and found it much better, even in the dirt. I have the tech pack which I just ordered at the start and haggled with them on the price. The cruise control is a must and Rally is good if you have it but just riding in off road mode probably is good enough in most situations. On the days it gets super sketchy, TC on the fly is handy but not necessary, just switch it off for sand or mud and soften the throttle to off-road. I like Rally throttle for road riding but find it too snatchy for tooling around in the dirt.

I don't envy that position in wet red clay. Had the same thing happen to me, b7t downhill and less water in the ground, so the clay caked up the front wheel against the front guard. Dropped the bike, grew 4 inches taller in 5 steps .

I said to my missus while watching you struggle up that slimy hill: "this is why cardio is a good idea" and the next thing you say is you need to start going to the gym! Hilarious. Looked like a lot of fun and reminded me of my fun day on saturday hooning around the gravel roads on saturday in the pissing rain on my Norden 901.
