Toad's review is the best on the net. I think he is the only journalist who understands what this bike is about. I bought one in July '24 and I love it! The riding position is great and it looks fantastic. The fact that British automotive engineering is the best in the world these days is really obvious in these new Triumph models. After a lifetime of Japanese and Italian bikes I am converted! Buy one you won't regret it.
Nice review, brilliant bike. Been riding on the road for over 47 years but still like the look of sporty but not too extreme bikes, if the lotto numbers come up........
It reminds me of MV Agusta Superveloce, which is a good thingnof course. Finally a good looking we could easily say - Superbike from Triumph. Well done!
Triumph did beautiful work on this one. Taut, elegant lines, with a big motor standing proudly underneath - as a Laverda triple fan, this bike is very appealing indeed.
Great review!! Been waiting on this one since I saw the bike at the Americade Rally back in September. Triumph only brought it to show off so I test rode the RS, which was amazing in every way except looks. This RR needs to be in my garage come spring!! Keep up the great content! Cheers!
Good work, Toad ! 🙂👍 Loved the shots with the camera near the muffler, that 1160 sure can sing. Too bad the new ST1200 it's so $$$$$$$$$$. +$18K here in the USA. I always look forward to your excellent, NO B.S commentary when I see you in a vid.👌 Alex still trying, he'll get there eventually. Hang in there, Alex !
Why would you make a naked bike the RS rock hard more suited to the race track and then make a sportier bike suited to the road. Surely the RS should have had this suspension and electronics as its predominantly a road bike. What a wasted opportunity, this set up would have probably got triumph to the top of the super naked battles instead of the Tuono and Streetfighter running away with it again. Bad move triumph, haven’t seen it come above half way on any of the group tests. Hope someone does away with the ugly front and does a conversion to make it look like an RS with the dropped bars.
Now, dear Triumph- just swap the suspension between a RS and RR and you have both bikes exactly how you should release them in the first place! Simple, right!?
Is there a problem with gearboxes ? It was reported on the RS that neutral is a real pain to find when stationary. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence in bikes that can hardly be described as inexpensive.
This bike would suit me more than the rs, nice assessment 👍 but please Toad.....us Brits use lee-vers and the expansion of this is lee-verage...our American cousins use lev-vers and so say lev-verage, obviously. It makes no sense to mix up the two 🤔
I ruled out the new RS due to the rock hard suspension. I have the 2018 model, again with rock hard suspension, that my spine can no longer cope with. The RR does appeal due to the semi active suspension. I may be trading in my RS for this.
Rock hard suspension on the UKs crap roads is a disgrace and whoever signed that off on a naked super bike should be fired. I couldn’t believe my ears when the guy from triumphs PR team said the customer research had come to the decision not to have active suspension like it’s competition. They boosted the power but got caught napping with the suspension and that has lost them a lot of sales. I was really excited about it’s launch and was keen to say the least about having one but not know. So close to having the best super naked, what a balls up.
@@tracer1127 My ride is a 2014 street triple 675r....with hard and harder suspension.... there is no 'soft'... fortunately I'm in Spain where the roads are far superior plus of course the climate is kinder to 'older rockers'..However I agree with your comment about active suspension, its the way to go for the upper echelons of bikes of this type. I don't believe you need all the fancy wizardry....for most anyway...but adjusting to suit prevailing road surfaces is a step in the right direction
Love the layout look at the moto show, i have the Trux r i love it but 15 years on a sport bike im itching (b 4 i get any older) w get another sport bike, now my review of this video..GEEZUS what is the r range what does it do in 3rd 4 5 6 show us the cluster compare to bmw apprilia yamaha i mean what is your FUCKING COMPARISON evaluation ? & i will say doesnt have that nice screaming pitch sound maybe sn M4 exhaust would solve
Good review. Very nice bike but at £18k it is only around £2k under a base model Ducati V4 Panigale. Despite the Ohlins with that modest price differential I would go with the Ducati every day of the week.
Unlike KTM at least Triumph put a tiny bikini fairing on the bike.....cause damn I hate naked bikes...KTM and much of Triumph and others models are just turn offs with their totally naked models...I dont even get it at all

Waaaaaw .... I just love the engine sound ..... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Im gonna upgrade from my xsr900 to this.. Love it!❤

Nice bike, sounds like it’s more usable than the 1000 sports bikes. Did I spot an undone chin strap there 😂👍🏻
Lovely looking bike. Wouldn't it be fabulous if Triumph dropped that engine with that power into an updated Tiger 1200 xcxR !

Gearboxes do take a few thousand miles to bed in, Ducati’s and BMW’s have the same issue 🤷♀️it’s a little gripe to have imo

What your weight & how tall are you?
It is beautiful design. I interest this bike.
Can’t say I’m a massive fan of the looks. But on paper it’s not lacking anywhere.
Why does it have pillion pegs? Where would the pillion sit?
It comes with a swappable pillion seat.

im getting one
For RS still looks the best... what can I say, I'm a sucker for naked bikes...
Definitely, such a shame it doesn’t have the same electronic suspension. That would have put it on the top of my list all day long.
No comments on the slow quick shifter?😅
Found it very annoying on the RS

Got a tl100s which I crashed on the road, rebuild going on, this bike looks like my kinda bike
1000s

Do they give the present a handful of benzos before he does these reviews? Man is low energy.
£18k for a motorbike 😂
You want more power yet you missed almost all the apex on the bends

Way over priced.
YES, 100% TRUE
I’d like to see you make it for less…..
