Keeping a micro towel pre-oiled in a sealed bag works well also. Benefits knowing you haven’t over oiled the firearm and easier during multiple cleanings. Jeff does a good job on his tutorial.

@Doug Distel hi. I did like the 92fs in general but wasn't a fan of how it shoots. Didn't like its accuracy and I thought it was my gun. Tried 2 other 92fs and had similar results. Sold it and bought a stoeger str9fa and it was night and day. Much more accurate in my hands. But the 92fs is a more enjoyable and fun firearm to shoot!
Took my wife to the range the other day. Fired several arms including a couple ARs. Most of the side arms were in 45ACP, she didn't care for their recoil. When we got to the 92 she liked it a lot. Of course when we got home it was clean up time so she got the 92. Run her through the same drill including patching the barrel. just wish I could get her as interested in cleaning her car.
@@Prosecute-fauci Move to a different state? As a responsible law abiding gun owner I have no problem with waiting periods and extensive background checks. Far to many crazies and criminals are getting access to firearms and giving the rest of us a black eye.
i own the egyptian version of beretta 92, it's called helwan mod 920 ,its typical beretta 92 but made in egypt under license of beretta , thank you for that useful video😊

I have a 92 fs, also an HK V1 9 mm. My 92fs just feels so sturdy, like you can beat someone over the head with it. Not even the slightest movement anywhere. My Hk has a very slight movement with the magazine in the weapon. Also the grip feels like it’s a cheaper plastic material. I’m sure my HK is perfectly fine and there’s nothing to worry about. But my Beretta just shoots and feels like putting warm butter on a hot flaky biscuit.
The Beretta92FS was my very first handgun back in 98' I bought for my 21st birthday but sold it years ago & bought a Glock19 in 09 then in January of this year I switched to a Glock22 & love it I might buy another Beretta92FS because at my age I'm starting to take an interest in all steel frame pistols.
I couldn't agree more. I have plenty of guns but those polymer guns just don't feel the same as Ole reliable! Look into it and get one! They are pretty darn cheap! Thanks for the support make sure you're subscribed for more!

I was in the US Navy for four years, 28 years with a City Police agency and 16 years with a Federal Law Enforcement Agency. I have handled 357 Magnums, Glock 17 and Beretta 92FS and never seen any one place oil on a weapon and then wipe it off.

Nice video. I just recently bought a 92FS. It was well oiled from the factory. At what point after shooting (how many rounds) would you suggest a reoil and cleaning? I keep it in a safe so it is not exposed to the environment when not in use. Thanks
That's the age old question truly. I will say, after buying a new gun, CLEAN THE GUN COMPLETELY AND RE OIL (Video coming soon) factory oil is awful for a gun. Some people never oil or clean, some do after every shooting. I clean after every shooting just because it can't hurt the gun, so why not? I feel like a clean gun That's well oiled will never miss fire, so keep them squeekey! As for leaving them In a safe, if they aren't used, it doesn't need to be done frequently. I would still clean the dust and old oil off once every 3 months. Hope that helps!!

Thanks for the support! Yes that is no problem at all. I typically clean them directly from the store because they are LOADED with oil. I'd recommend cleaning it pretty soon after your purchase.
This would be applicable for an M9A3 as well I'd assume, correct? Just bought the M9A3 today at a gun show, I was looking at the 92A1 but seen the M9 sitting on the table and had to get it, unfortunately unknown to me it didn't have any oil and being new to guns I didn't bother to check, my fault obviously. After buying it I shot about 54 rounds dry and it jammed twice, 1 was failure to eject, the other was failure to feed. So of course I found this out after the fact when cleaning the gun, any help for a new gun owner would be greatly appreciated.
This gun has a very heavy slide. A jam or failure to eject 9 times out of 10 is your grip not your gun. Yes, PLEASE oil it (this video applies to your gun as well) that will help, but a lot of times if your wrist or grip is too limp, the recoil actually surges through your arm instead of the weapon. When a bullet is fired, the force created by that round is what forces the slide all the way back and chambers a new round. If that force/recoil is being transferred to your wrist it doesn't have the power to push the slide all the way back, hence the jam. Try to stiffen your grip and keep that wrist tight and you will see improvement in your weapon cycling. Happy shooting my friend!
Just got a new M9. Have you ever noticed the tops of your forearms getting peppered with little black specs when shooting it? I don't know if it's carbon or left over powder. Is it because of the open slide design? Break in period? So far I've put 200 rounds of 115g Blazer Brass through it.
I have noticed that, but not strictly with the Barretta. Every time you fire the weapon, you have to understand its going to expel the unused gunpowder from the slide and it might get on your arm. Try using a different ammo! Guns are picky and usually have a preference to the ammo they can use.

Just bought a 92x compact. I gotta say, to read the owners manual on how to lube the gun, you may as well just dunk it in oil and shake it off. I’ve never owned a gun that called for so much oil. Lol. I think it may be excessive. But then again, us Italians love our oil. We fry meats in it, we drizzle and dip our bread in it, we put it on salads. We sweat oil. 😂. It’s only fitting that our guns be just oozing oil. Lol
Not always necessary lol when you buy a new gun they are DRIPPING with oil. The first thing I do with a new gun is clean the ENTIRE THING BONE DRY. I hate the way factory does it, yet I understand why they do.

That's very interesting... I'd start there and do a full stip/clean of the gun. Also use different ammo to see if you can find the issue. The pin, the guns action, or the ammo
Try a piece of a T shirt, wetted with gun oil, kept in a small jar. Wipe all surfaces. Wipe again with another piece of cloth. Watch that extractor spring! I cover it. It will launch the rod into space!
I'd love to help, but I'm not quite sure what you're asking? The hold (as in wrist to sight picture) for me is perfect with the angle of the grip. As for the sight picture, it's standard sights and very clear with OEM
My slide isnt removeable someone help? The button moves but lever doesnt move. I already scratched the crap out of it with a screwdriver and gouged the frame. It isnt removeable
DONT USE FORCE ever on a gun. They all come apart. Message me privately and let's see what you have going on! Try manipulating the slide back and forth to make the lever switch to the correct position. Also make sure you're pushing the button in all the way
I will get you the model of it. It's fantastic as a wall piece but I have gotten a ton of use with that thing going through the bush! Very sharp and very reliable thus far - 10 years later.
Not a problem! When you get it, tear it apart and DRY IT. Get ALL the factory oil off of it. And I mean all of it. Use a q-tip to get the small spaces and do a deep deep clean, then follow my instructions for oil points. Only a little bit and rub it off! Happy shooting my friend! Perfectly normal. Until it's under pressure, it will wiggle around a bit. Nothing to worry yourself with!

Try a piece of a T shirt, wetted with gun oil, kept in a small jar. Wipe all surfaces. Wipe again with another piece of cloth. Watch that extractor spring! I cover it. It will launch the rod into space!
I just picked up a 92fs Inox haven’t shot it yet, and I’m curious what sight picture or hold does it have? I appreciate you in advance.
I'd love to help, but I'm not quite sure what you're asking? The hold (as in wrist to sight picture) for me is perfect with the angle of the grip. As for the sight picture, it's standard sights and very clear with OEM

@@jeffofalltrades8489 for example my Springfield 1911’s owner manual says it is sighted for a 6’o clock hold at 25 yards.

My slide isnt removeable someone help? The button moves but lever doesnt move. I already scratched the crap out of it with a screwdriver and gouged the frame. It isnt removeable
DONT USE FORCE ever on a gun. They all come apart. Message me privately and let's see what you have going on!
Try manipulating the slide back and forth to make the lever switch to the correct position. Also make sure you're pushing the button in all the way

I will get you the model of it. It's fantastic as a wall piece but I have gotten a ton of use with that thing going through the bush! Very sharp and very reliable thus far - 10 years later.

Not necessary in my opinion. They won't harm the weapon long term so I don't personally mess with them

Not a problem! When you get it, tear it apart and DRY IT. Get ALL the factory oil off of it. And I mean all of it. Use a q-tip to get the small spaces and do a deep deep clean, then follow my instructions for oil points. Only a little bit and rub it off! Happy shooting my friend!
