My friends John Hill and Dave Straight, may they rest in peace, would be thrilled to see the tank from Sundown and Western. They helped out there from time to time. Glad to see these restored and back up and running!
That was very informative and interesting. We were down there in September to ride the Durango and Silverton and the Cumbres and Toltec. Already itching to get back to visit your museum.
We have a robust operating schedule in 2023 - Saturday rides year-round, steam operations, Goose departures, Thomas the Tank Engine and the Polar Express!
Great video. They have one in Ogden Utah at the Museum. There used to be one at 600 North in Salt Lake City taken off the wheels. U.P.R.R. had it on a concrete foundation and I believe it stored used Oil. It was accross the tracks from the old May foundry.
One of the idler cars sits at the Calhan depot on a display track.
I did not know that.
Awesome video!!! I shared you video with my father-in-law who worked at UTLX.
That is cool - thanks for sharing it!
Tanks for the Memories!
