I found it's better to use the Afrika Korps Infantry set as Heer Infantry during the Mid war Period, the set gives you just enough Stahl Helms to work with and the Blitz Box is actually rather quite small in comparison
Honestly same. I like the overlap and ability to play whatever, but late war armor just becomes a slog. I like the crazyness of early war low penn and armor values.
Here is a suggestion: ”Your recommedations on how to build Finnish kitbashed army out of German Blitzkrieg & Grenadiers with Soviet weapon sprues.” Yes, there is a guide how to ”kitbash” Finnish soldiers out of those two mentioned German kits…!
It would be fun to see the miniatures instead of just the rifles. I guess you have them built already it would be fun to see the minis. Good content however.
Would u say it be worth using the Blitz German mixed with the unit box for Africa Korps to represent the Korps them not being fully equipped with the desert gear? I was thinking of doing this in reference with some historical photo's.
Cool thanks. The plan will be to have a few squads like that to represent the early days of that campaign. And down the road ill do full desert gear for later on in the fighting.
A great option for HQ models are Stossi's Heroes. Unique models (you can even have Kolonel Klink!) with very nice poses.
I have some Stossi’s minis. They are a bit larger in scale than Warlord models and can be a bit pricey. But they are nice

Thanks for the video. Great idea to run he “how to build” series for the different armies. Very interested in a Soviet one and late war Germans.
very informative and concise video, hoping for a US Army build next
8:21 never take 3 men for the officer unit, you lose the small team bonus and are a much easier target
Duke Exeter I agree. I still recommend building extra SMG guys though for vet squads
But now my question is, where do you put the extra guy then?
I combined the 2 sets, using the sun hats from the DAK sprue on blitzkrieg infantry to make DAK veterans.
I hope Warlord moves into like a Flames of War system where early war plays early war for example

@@HollywoodWargaming. As a new year's resolution I'm hoping to start playing properly and get some Perry Afrika Korps supported by rubicon armour

so no light mortar team then? I think's the only option in the afrika korps box you don't use

I did this myself. It works out pretty well. Just paint them afrika korps colors.
