I have recurrent herpes outbreak during pregnancy. Currently I am 31 weeks and doctors say I have to take the med from 36 weeks and I will have no outbreak at the time of birth. However, I keep having outbreaks and I am not sure how much the meds will help from 36 weeks. It has become a nightmare for me to transfer it to my baby and lose him. I don't know if pain and lack of sleep due to labor will bring another outbreak while I am delivering. So I am thinking to opt for C-section which is also scary for me😢. Can you tell me about your experience?

But, you do you. The best thing is to discuss it with your doctor and see. If your doctor knows you have herpes, they can be extra careful to search for signs of an outbreak, and can do a C-sec. But, with antivirals, the chances are very low.

Did you use valcyclovir in first & second trimester to help with outbreaks? I wasn’t sure if it was safe to use it or not
No, did not.
Have you talked about with your doctor about the possibility of not using antiviral? I live a very strict lifestyle and all natural way as possible, i wonder if it is an option to not take the antiviral?
Of course. Plenty people do not take the antivirals. It is very possible. A strong immune system will be your best defence!
